Hello everyone! Today I'm going to show you how I made this cute little sunny side up egg.
This project is very easy and all the beginners you should try this. It's super easy and super fast.
So let's get started!
For the material, we only use two colors of yarn, which is white and yellow.
I use 100% acrylic yarn with 3.5 mm crochet hook.
And of course scissors and the needles.
This is the abbreviation that I'm going to use throughout the videos.
For the first round, we're going to make a circle with 6 single crochet.
You can use magic ring or any method as long as you finish the first round with 6 single crochet.
So as usual, I'm start with two chains.
So one chain, pull it a little bit.
And second chain, then try to poke the hook into the first chain to do the single crochet.
And the first single crochet, you're going to do 6 single crochet into this first chain.
So this is second, and three, four.
I try to be slow here, so if it's still too fast, you can click on the setting in the desktop version.
You can have a speed option which you can play it more slowly.
And now we finish with 6 single crochet through the whole side.
And always close the round with slip stitch.
So slip stitch on the first single crochet that we've knit.
Not on the chain, but on the first stitch.
And slip stitch.
And start the round with one chain.
And the first stitch of the round will be in the same place that we do the slip stitch.
So this round we're going to do increase, which is 2 single crochet into the same stitch.
The second one in the same stitch.
For every stitch in this round, or for 6 times.
And single crochet.
And another one into the same stitch.
I hope you see it well.
One single crochet.
Another single crochet into the same stitch.
And the next one.
One and two into the same stitch.
And another increase.
And the last one.
Sorry for being a little bit faster.
And close the round with slip stitch.
As always, on the first stitch of the round.
Not on the chain.
On the first stitch.
And then one chain to start next round.
And one single crochet into the same place that we do slip stitch.
And we do increase.
Increase.
Two into the same stitch.
And then one single crochet and then increase.
And we're repeating it until we reach the end of the round.
So by doing slip stitch and one chain every end of the round.
You kind of see the start and the end of the round.
But if you cannot clearly see it.
You can use the stitch marker to help you.
And let's continue.
So one stitch and then increase.
Increase.
And then one stitch.
So we just do one single crochet into each stitch.
I just lost what I count.
I know it sounds ridiculous.
And this one and the last one of the round.
This is the benefit of doing slip stitch and one chain.
So you kind of see the end of the round.
So you don't have to recount it when you lost it.
And for the next round, round 5.
We're going to do the same thing as the previous round.
So one single crochet.
Two single crochet.
Three single crochet.
Four single crochet.
Five.
Six.
Seven.
Eight.
Nine.
Ten.
Eleven.
And then six single crochet into the first chain.
One.
Two.
Three.
So since the first three round is the same.
It uses the same pattern for the egg white and the egg yolk.
So if any process in the video is unclear, you can compare it with each other.
Rewind back to the egg yolk if the egg white is unclear or not focused.
Or look at the egg white instead of the egg yolk.
I hope you're not confusing.
So now we're on round 2.
It's just the same pattern that we already done it.
Increase in every stitch.
The third increase.
And it doesn't look very circle.
You can swap the place by doing increase first and then followed by the two single crochet.
That will make it look rounder.
And not very angular.
I hope I'm not confusing you.
And slip stitch to close the round.
And one chain.
Round 5.
Still on increase.
Three single crochet into the next three stitch.
And then increase.
One.
Two.
Three.
And increase.
One.
Two.
Three.
And two single crochet into the same stitch.
And we just repeat this until we finish this round.
For the egg white, it's kind of freeform.
You don't have to be very circle.
Since the real egg is not perfectly circle.
The real fried egg.
Okay.
And three.
And then increase for the last stitch.
And slip stitch to close the round.
And next round, we're gonna do single crochet into the next four stitch.
And then increase.
Or you can stop here if you feel that the egg white is big enough.
But I will continue to do one more round.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And increase.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And increase two single crochet into the same stitch.
I think you kind of see the pattern here, right?
Like we do increase and then one single crochet.
Okay.
And I'm gonna use some basic embroidery.
Like this is the knot stitch that I find very easy to do.
And make him an eye.
One eye.
This is a smile you can do.
Like a V shape.
And now he look cute already.
Secure.
And now we secure it at the back.
If you don't know how to tie the securing knot.
You can just run your knife many many times.
And do not cut the yarn.
Just let it there.
We gonna put it at the inside.
We gonna put the exit yarn inside our work.
And yeah.
Before we sewing, secure the white.
The white tail.
Just run the yarn like up and down into the middle.
Go to the centroid of the circle.
Yeah.
And make sure every exit yarn is in the same side.
So we can kind of stuff this under the yoke.
And you can stuff some fiber if you want.
But I feel like for this small piece, it doesn't need a fiber.
And then sewing these two pieces together.
And be careful. Try not to poke the needle at the back.
Make sure you not see the yellow yarn visible at the back of the egg white.
And just sewing them together.
As you can see, I just run my needle like very simple sewing.
The trick is you have to make each stitch of your sewing like equally distant from each other.
And yes, you cannot see the yellow yarn from the back.
That's what we want.
And secure the yellow yarn by running it up and down.
And cut it off.
And now we done.
Very cute.
Sunny side up fry egg.
