Rusty red on her shoulder, I was cleaning her shoe.
Okay, so I'm home from my third day of class and as you can see I'm like really sweaty because it's
really hot outside, but the other day I saw a TikTok of this girl eating artichokes and it
looked delicious to me. I was talking to my mom, I was like remember when you used to make artichoke
tea for us and then she ended up making artichoke tea. We're both in the process of moving so we
don't really have pitchers or anything so it's just in this big ass bowl, but I don't know if
this is just a Viet thing, but we make artichoke tea and it's really refreshing and cooling, but
it's just boiled artichokes and then after they're boiled down you use rock sugar to sweeten it.
It's kind of like winter melon tea. This is our Vietnamese version of winter melon tea,
because winter melon is just a gourd, right? It's just a vegetable that you add sugar to
and then this is artichoke tea. So this was in the fridge so it's already cold,
but this is the highlight of my day when I get home and I can drink a glass of cold artichoke tea.
So my friend went to Denmark in the summer and he got me a little gift.
You guys, it's a little Pantone swatch.
Here are all the things I sculpted this week. It's 22 baboosh cats for the August happy mail
and then a lot of Maxines and some desk friends. This little mushroom man was a custom. He's so
cute. Fresh out of the oven. I like to have these little open crates around just to sort things out.
They're still a little warm so I'm being rather gentle with them.
It's much like a baked good. When they're warm, they're more fragile.
Yeah, it was so nice outside.
I'm almost ready to pack. I just have to stamp these mailers. I don't know if you guys know
this, but I carved my own rubber pad like months ago so now I use it for all of my mailers.
I need to make like a base for it so I can hold it more comfortably because
right now it's just flat, but I just haven't been able to do it yet.
So after I stamp them, I put fragile stickers on the back. So a funny story about why I put
fragile stickers on the back of all my mail is even though they're not necessarily super fragile,
one time I got a customer send me a photo of their package and it was totally run over like
there were tire marks on the package and of course the charm was broken so that's why I
put fragile stickers on the back of all my mailers now. Okay, now we're all done.
So for orders with both clay items and prints, I use these boxes so the prints don't get
folded or crumpled up. So it's just a normal box, right? When you open it, it has my stamp on it.
Like so, like that. And then to seal the boxes, I have cut these
strips of water activated tape and then I'll do all the taping usually at the end.
We brushed and we braided
Can she walk in the fire? Can she run in the rain?
Can she make it up the mountain side? Can she make it down again?
Where I feel
She had a star on her forehead that was easy
He had a deep understanding never had to use a bit
Okay, as you can see, I'm in my new space. I'm still settling in but everything's like
70% unpacked and I live with cats now so if there's a cat in the background or two, that's why.
Just finished packing up all these boxes and I'm just gonna pack orders.
I'm so so happy with the place that I'm living now. It's super nice. I have roommates so I'm not
as lonely anymore. Obviously, I'm living with more animals. Whenever I'm crying, one of them will
always come up to me. It's so cute. I don't know if I said this yet but the lighting is so much better.
Look at all this natural sunlight. So I just changed the angle so you could see me pack
things while I talk but I will admit the first week I was here, I was having a really hard time
adjusting and I felt really sad because I missed my family a lot and I never thought that I would
miss them that much but I do. I miss them so so much. So I guess that just shows how much I am
a sentimental person and how uncomfy I am with change. I always knew I was uncomfortable with
change but I thought I would handle this move so much better than I actually did. I actually ended
up having a lot of days where I just felt really sad and just crying for multiple hours
but I know this sort of change is definitely for the best and I think the change of routine also
caused me to get behind on a lot of my orders and behind on my posting schedule because for
the past two months, I've been posting on Instagram and TikTok every single day at least twice a day
so having to stop doing that really made me feel like I had to stop my progress which I didn't like.
Slowly getting back into things and giving myself more time. I think I really wasn't ready
for anything but now I feel like I am and all of this is to say I'm feeling a lot better now and
now I'm vlogging again. So thank you for waiting for this video and for watching it in the first place.
