Good evening MWM family! In tonights video it's VLOG style. I know I eliminated vlogs from my weekly loads.... however, I really wanted to document us getting two mini horses. This has been a long time coming. We surprised Ryder on Christmas on the arrival of the minis and shortly after got started on getting a barn built for them. Ryder was so excited!
Welcome back to my channel.
If you are new, welcome.
My name is Hannah and I'm the mom of muscle.
And in today's video, it is vlog style.
I have not vlogged in a very long time,
but we are getting miniature horses.
This has been something that has been a process
and something that has been a dream of mine
for the longest time.
And yeah, I'm excited to document this process
of us getting them.
So if this is something you are interested in watching,
just keep on watching.
But if you have not already though,
please be sure to like, comment, and subscribe.
Make sure to hit that bell button
for every time I upload a video.
And if you're not already following me on Instagram,
I would love to have you over at mom of muscle.
Without further ado, let's get some miniature horses.
Peace.
Good morning, YouTube, and welcome back to the vlog.
So I have a little bit of a cold,
but I wanted to document us getting our mini horse barn.
So today they are building the barn.
We have cleared a spot
for where the barn is going to be going.
We just went with a tough shed.
We did a little bit of a customization
as far as like what color we wanted,
but they're going to be installing the barn today.
And then Colin is going to build out the fencing
for the horses.
And then we should be getting the minis sometime next week.
But I just wanted to document
as this is a pretty exciting for our family.
So at this point,
the barn is complete
and we chose to go with a white and black trim
because eventually we plan to have the exterior paint color
of our home painted white and black
to correspond with the barn.
So that is why we went with white and black.
And we had kind of done this rough estimate
of a pasture size.
We kind of drew it there in the sand
so we could visually see
how big we wanted that portion to be.
We did get two miniature horses.
So we definitely wanted to accommodate
for both of them in this area
because this is where they would be hanging out mostly.
Colin was going to be doing the post the following day,
hence why we did that.
But we wanted the fencing to correspond with the garden,
same height, same spacing.
The only difference that we were going to be doing
was instead of a five rung,
we were going to be doing three rungs
instead of the five that the garden has.
But this is kind of what it looks like
after everything is complete.
So this was the next day, which was Friday.
Colin spent all day digging the holes,
setting posts and getting those ready for the following day,
which would be Saturday to get the fencing done,
which you can see here.
It was a full family event.
We had Sway out there in her jumper.
We had Ryder helping.
Colin was such a good sport, setting posts,
getting the fencing going.
And like I said, it was all hands on deck for this fence.
And we are so happy with how it turned out.
And here is the final product.
So happy with how it turned out.
I absolutely love the combination
of the white and black from the barn
with the natural wood
and all the black hardware on the fence.
Colin did such a great job of putting this together
and I'm just so thrilled with how everything turned out.
All right, it's arrival day.
I just wanted to show you guys a quick update on the barn
because Colin was working all night last night
on just getting things ready.
These are heavy duty rubber mats here on the bottom.
And then we're gonna be doing shavings on top.
And then he built this wall essentially
for us to be able to supply like all the hay
and tack and stuff like that.
So we kind of partitioned it off into like border section.
What do you think?
It's a lot of work.
It turned out awesome, I'm happy.
And then we're gonna do a little door here
so that way we can come,
cause there's a door here.
I don't know if you guys can see that.
Door here, so that way we can access this area
where they'll be sleeping easy.
But again, this is just so we can house feed,
tack, all the other central things for them.
So that's that.
So we're about to throw some shavings in here for them.
And then we got water bucket for them.
And then we're here.
I don't know if I showed you guys this yet.
We made it all cute.
We did a little room or door sign there, number.
And then I moved some pots
and then I'm gonna plan on doing some stone walkway
for the entryway here, similar to the garden walkway.
And then we also did this.
This is gonna be essentially where we tack them up,
groom them.
I'm gonna make it really cute.
But we got some cross ties here hanging off of the side.
And then, yeah, that's where Ryder and the girls
can actually groom them and get them ready
and tack them up and whatnot.
So getting excited.
They're here.
Okay.
They're here.
They're a little nervous
just cause everything's new to them.
So they've been winning quite a bit, but they're here.
So Butters is the one on the right
and Twinkie is the one on the left.
Say hi, boys.
Say hi to YouTube.
And we're about to go get Ryder.
So we'll see what she thinks.
She knows what's happening,
but I don't know if she's really grasped the concept
of we're gonna be having horses in our backyard.
Hello, baby boy.
Hi.
Everybody has been patiently awaiting you guys.
Are you ready?
Yeah.
That's one of them.
You can go with her.
There's the other one.
Okay.
So this one, that's Twinkie.
Yeah.
And this one with the little white nose,
this one's Butters.
Yeah.
What do you think?
Yeah?
Yeah.
You excited?
Yeah.
So they're winning a lot right now
cause they're a little bit nervous.
This is a new home for them.
So they're just trying to figure out where they are.
And they won't winny so much in a couple of days.
But you can pet them and let them sniff you.
And you just put your hand straight out like this.
Just like you're letting your doggy sniff you.
So again, he's just nervous.
They're just trying to figure out their new home.
There you go.
Just like that.
What do you think?
It's pretty cool, huh?
You got horses in your backyard.
Okay, Ryder, show me how Twinkie
follows you around everywhere.
This is seriously the cutest thing ever.
She's been in there since they arrived.
And so since they've gotten here,
this one just follows Ryder around all over the place.
It's so cute.
And they go to the barn.
You say hi, monkey.
Say hi, YouTube.
It's been very fun.
She's very excited.
She's just in the barn with them.
Ryder.
Ry.
Are you and Twinkie having a team meeting?
You're being cute, man.
All right, you guys, I'm going to end the video out here.
I hope you guys enjoyed coming along for this vlog.
I have not vlogged in a very long time
because that was something I was eliminating,
but I knew that this process of us getting our mini horses
was going to be something that I knew I wanted to document.
So thank you so much for coming along for this journey.
And we are excited to have our new little family members
join the Naylor family.
So love you guys, and we will see you in my next video.
Peace.
