How to permanently delete an Instagram account on iPhone (iOS) or Android

In this video, I'll be showing you how to delete your Instagram account from your iOS or Android mobile device. Now let's get started. You can't delete your account from within the Instagram app. You'll need to delete it through the Instagram website. To begin, open your device's browser and go to instagram.com slash accounts slash remove slash request slash permanent. A link to this page will also be in the description box below this video. Sign into your Instagram account. Now you'll need to indicate the reason why you want to delete your account. Under why are you deleting your account, tap the drop-down bar. You'll see a list of options appear at the bottom of your screen. Scroll to the option that applies to you, then tap done. Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Re-enter your Instagram password to confirm that you want to delete your account, then tap permanently delete my account. In the small window that appears, tap ok to confirm. You'll see a message on your screen saying that your account has been deleted. That's all it takes to delete your Instagram account from an iOS or Android mobile device. Keep in mind that once you delete your account, you won't be able to reopen the account or create a new account with the same username. If you ever want to go back to using Instagram, you'll need to create a new account with a different username. Thanks for watching!
