Ben Eda Nur I am 20 years old
We have been practicing the profession of animal husbandry since our ancestors even our great-grandparents
It's very cold here in the winter especially with all the snowfall
That's why we experience seasonal migration
We are moving to warmer places in winter to Southeast Anatolia even more to the Mediterranean to such warm places
We spend the winter there
We also spend the spring in the highlands
This year was quite something droughts and such because of the rain
There aren't thirty of them
Here comes spring when we arrive at the highlands when we separate the kids from their mothers
Now they are feeding themselves no longer needing milk
This time we are giving them their mothers the sheep I mean the goats
We milk them twice a day when the pasture is good
But when it is not we milk them once a day
We do it once a day this year
When there's no milk left
That's right we take that milk home
First we take out our own food and stuff
Then it will happen this time it will collapse it will become cheese we will do these things
This time we will sell them
This also helps us a little in making a living
It's a very difficult task
Whether it's something material or spiritual
We mostly deal with them the animals since we have no other sources
I don't know how long it will take
It's a profession that can be done from home
When the whole family doesn't support you and someone withdraws problems immediately arise
Kurtlar are many
Wolves come out when the animals are asleep but they don't cause much damage because of the dogs
There are shepherds already there are dogs
We get up early in the morning at six
We clean our house have breakfast and cook our meals
When the animals arrive the shepherd comes home we give him his food and we give him water
Then we come for the right side we put the animals in the fences
After taking them to the hospital we get our milk and go home
We pass our milk through a machine and we remove the products we want to take out of our milk
Then in the afternoon the shepherd eats his meal takes his food for the evening and goes to his animals
They take the animals ride them up the mountain and return home around 11 o'clock the next day
We try not to feed our sheep and goats as much as possible from spring to autumn
We graze them in the highlands in the village in the pastures and so on
We feed them hay and feed when they are hungry we also give them barley
Horses are like that too they prefer greenery and when there's none left they eat barley
