So today I want to share with you how to decorate a Christmas tree like a pro.
So I'm going to show you from start to finish how to make it look beautiful, professional,
and like a designer would have put it together.

So this tree that I am going to show you is about two years old.
It's an artificial tree.
It's a flocked tree.
So it has like faux snow on it and it wasn't very expensive.
I'm going to put this in my sitting room.
So it's kind of our formal tree, the non-kid tree.
I will also show you our kid tree soon.
So let me show you some of the things that I purchased for it first.
I got these really beautiful glass glittery pine cone ornaments from Costco.
A really good price.
I think they were $13 Canadian for this box.
I also got this really nice tube of gold, kind of a champagne gold,
pearl, and pink plastic balls from Michaels.
And I got them in the buy one get one free ornament sale.
So this tree is going to be silver, gold, and blush pink.
And then I have these from last year.
They're from Real Canadian Superstore.
They're glass, mercury glass ornaments.
One tip is when Christmas is finished, go buy your ornaments for next year
because you're going to get them for half price, even maybe 80% off.
I think it's for a couple dollars for real glass ornaments.
I also have this beautiful mesh ribbon.
This I just found at Walmart and it's kind of a champagne gold color as well.
So I'm going to show you how I like to put this sort of mesh in a tree.
Used to not like this stuff, but this is actually really beautiful.
It has a beautiful diamond pattern.
So I will show you that soon as well.
So that's the stuff we're going to start with.
I might add things near the end.
So let me show you from start to finish how I decorate the tree.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment in the comment section below
and let's get started.
To start decorating your Christmas tree, always fluff those branches.
So just pull them apart, pull them out and don't skip this step
because it's going to make your tree look super professional and beautiful.
Next, I like to put on the ribbon.
So here I'm using that metallic mesh ribbon
and how I like to put on ribbon is I like to put it vertically from the top to the bottom.
You could also do this wrapping around the tree, but I like how it looks vertically.
And I just kind of pinch my artificial tree branches around the ribbon,
pull the ribbon out so it kind of has a nice romantic loop
and then bring it down to another branch,
twist that branch over top the ribbon so that it stays
and then repeat from the top to the bottom of the tree back up and down again.
And then you can just kind of spread the ribbon as you go
or the mesh as you go to kind of give it that nice full look.
So here on this tree, I'm using that metallic mesh.
I'm going from the top to the bottom and up again
and just kind of gently looping it and letting it just fall kind of where it wants to fall
so that it looks a little bit random, but it still has a nice look to it.
So just looping, pinching and pulling.
Next, I like to grab the large ornaments.
So these are the really big ornaments.
In this case, they're my silver big glittery pine cones.
And so they're big, so I'm going to place them on my tree next.
And I just like to place them evenly throughout the tree.
And I kind of like to nest them inside the branches
so they look like they're just hanging nicely and they belong right in the tree.
After all of the larger ornaments have been placed, move on to the small ornaments.
So in this case, I'm using smaller blush pink balls
and a glittery kind of that champagne gold balls and also that pearly white.
And I'm just putting them evenly throughout the tree
so that I have lots of pink all over the tree, lots of pearl all over the tree.
And then last minute, I decided to add kind of a burgundy color to the tree as well
because it's kind of seemed a little bit light.
So I wanted to add some depth to the tree.
And just always just make sure you step back every so often
and have a look at the tree just to make sure that it looks the way that you want it to.
And if you have something in the wrong spot, just move it and keep on going.
And this is how my romantic looking pink, silver, and gold tree has turned out.
I'm really happy with it.
I think it looks great in our sitting room and I can't wait to decorate the next tree.
