This is Aiden Harris, class of 2024, third base pitcher.
I play at Manchester High School,
and I'm committed to the University of Virginia,
and this is Day in the Life.
Yeah, I got into baseball when I was five years old.
My father and my brother played that,
and my father went to VSU to play baseball there,
so he just made me want to play it even more.
I chose UVA because it's the top 25 program in the nation.
I'm gonna get a good education when I go there,
and just the coaches are amazing,
and the way they just take care of the players
is just by far one of the best.
When I first got into contact with UVA,
it was during the quarantine time,
so people came and saw me play.
It wasn't actually the UVA recruiters,
but it was some people that knew some names around there,
and some video got out to the coaches,
and they just invited me to a camp,
and we chatted from there,
and they really liked the way I played and the way I acted,
so they came and offered me.
My recruiting process was really quick.
I don't really feel pressure.
I think it's more of like, it's a feel good to me
to know that my work is paying off,
so people want to see the best out of me,
and I want to see the best out of myself,
so I don't really feel pressure.
Yeah, I like to listen to Yeet before every game,
and I like to have my headphones blaring
on full volume before every game,
and I like to watch Instagram before every game, too.
Favorite baseball memory.
It was definitely Cooperstown,
and when I hit a home run to give us the lead,
and it was just the greatest feeling ever.
Just parents, everybody in the atmosphere just felt that,
and it was just one of my favorite experiences.
People who want to get recruited and looked at,
I definitely recommend posting on Twitter
and following all the recruiting coordinators
for that program,
and definitely going to PG World Woodbats.
Definitely those will get you looks,
and a lot of colleges go there,
so just get your name out there.
You know, I started out the day in the cages,
took some T-works, some soft ties,
went on to the field, got some ground balls in,
some good defensive work, and that's the end of the day.
