Hello everybody, what is up? Welcome back to my channel. We're doing a couple days in my life in New York City and this is going to be a particularly gals on the go heavy Video, so if you like the Brooke and Danny content you are getting that today. I am so excited today is Monday I'm about to head out to go record this week's episode of gals on the go podcast with Brooke and then straight from there We're headed to Brooklyn. We're going to the one hotel in Brooklyn I am so excited because you guys know I Decorated my apartment kind of in honor of the one hotel in Miami. Love it Love their interior love that hotel everything never been to the one in Brooklyn, and it's a very belated Christmas gift But we were taking Emma who's our creative director for gals on the go on a little Vacation if you will in Brooklyn We got her a spa appointment and everything and we're doing dinner tonight at the roof there And it's just we were trying to decide a day on when to do this and we decided this day and her birthday was recently Too so it's perfect. We just want to thank her so much for everything She's done, and I'm just so excited and it's a fun excuse to have a little staycation in the city I'm so excited you guys know I literally nut over the one hotel so hmm and then in the morning We'll have breakfast we'll check out do all the things and then we'll come back Get ready to go back over to Brooklyn cuz we rented out a studio over there We're shooting the new don't text collection of gals on the go merch, so I am so pumped So we have lots of fun stuff happening, and I wanted to take you guys along at all I'm about to hop on a call and then hop in the car with Brooke to the studio But I want to show you guys my outfit really quick also. I'm so excited I'm using my new stony clover duffel bag here that I got customized last week at their store in the West Village This is their avocado color tote duffel bag, and I got it customized it says on-the-go So I just think that's so perfect and you guys know I'm like obsessed with green right now So we've got this little duffel. This is my outfit for recording It's kind of chilly outside today wearing this top that I always wear from Zara same makeup Whatever jewelry all the time this jacket. I just got from revolve. It's the academy the brand I just it's like a little leather bomber which I thought was fun These pants everyone needs them. I will link them below obsessed from Urban Outfitters So cute, they're like they're honestly yeah, they're they're low-rise, but I find them to be Pretty flattering I like how they're actually baggy on me because sometimes with my bigger thighs It's not and then I get sad, but these are perfect, and then I'm just wearing my black dunks Yeah, let's let's start with the day I can't get this literally makes me so happy this little duffel guy obviously also bringing my gals in the go tote bag Oh geez and my kombucha and my water because I literally have to have so many beverages with me Just wrapped up the episode. It was so much fun We literally just recapped Brooks party Coachella We just talked for so long. I know though like it was kind of planless in the best way though Yeah, like I know it was a really good episode And that's like what our brand for the podcast is if you guys haven't listened It's basically like hanging out with your two best friends talking and chatting slumber party vibe so definitely listen to that new episode We are packing up closing up shop, and we are about to head to Brooklyn We'll do the little staycation. I'm so excited. I'm excited too. I can't wait to smell it the one-on-one. Oh, it's so good All right, so we got to the hotel as you saw from my montage Brooke and Emma are in the other room I just had to come do some work really quick I am so privileged and so beyond thankful to get to have stayed at multiple one hotels It's just I love their hotel so much literally not sponsored at all, but there's just something about it like they're very Eco-friendly all the design. It's very relaxing. I don't know. I just I'm just very relaxed right now Obviously, how could you not be with this view? I mean, I'm literally Looking at New York City. It's like a gloomy day But it's kind of perfect and I'm just I'm just sitting here feeling very grateful very very very grateful So I'm just getting a little thing done and then in 30 minutes We're headed up to Harriet's rooftop, which is a restaurant anyone could go to even if you're not staying at the hotel We're gonna do probably a pretty long dinner and drinks and then slumber party vibes So I'm so thankful. I'm a such an amazing person, too So it's really fun to be here, but I just thought I'd check in with you guys. All right We're about to head up to dinner where oh my gosh, we're women in black Yes, we're all wearing in the black. I'm a lovely fit tonight I'm obsessed shoes. So cute. Wait, what's this bag? Is that a jean? Oh, no, it's not jean, but it's blue. It's so cute Obsessed this Abercrombie dress is giving Yes, right You have your jacket, oh my gosh, imagine if I brought my leather I actually do have a leather jacket, but I'm glad I'm Doesn't really matter Yes Yes, keep the cash love Yeah, I know. We're all the same height. Here's my little outfit. I literally wear this shirt all the time It's from mesh key Frankie shot blazer. It's so oversized. It's insane. What? It is a big but it's one size Yeah, hopefully okay Haley Beavers then spo here jeans lioness shoes Steve Madden take a bag and Yeah, that's the fit Okay, so this is a green juice drink and the found it she got one too It has gin in it green juice lime juice and simple serum Tastes like a green juice there's some citrus in there Yes, it just a salad juice which then you can taste the gin but I'm okay with and I'm okay with that You have to rate it on your story We went to the roof to like chill after dinner we ate like a two-hour dinner was so nice We get through and now it's raining, of course So we're just running around the hotel because we love this hotel so much So we're taking some pictures right now, but it's just so vibing in here. We're just chatting catching up. I'm just taking a cute pic Keep it in Wait, no, I'm not funny. I was trying to show it's cute. I do I have a duffel. It says on the go It's our podcast. I Just thought it was cute that we're all sitting here. We've been sitting here for a while. We've been just Talking about everything and nothing I knew this we're in the log and we're like I was like Let's go upstairs and watch like a funny movie and then in my head I was like we're gonna sit and talk and talk and talk But like that's why we're here. So we're all sitting on our phones talking and don't know silent friendship time You're not we're talking at the same time Chatty friendship time chatty friendship time Brooks in the rope. It is almost midnight I need to go see what the view is at night. Oh Guys, it's been raining all night, but it's kind of in the coziest vibe ever. Like we've just been listening to the rain come down so relaxing This is broken eyes bed Brooke say what you're saying about stony clover what it is for us. Thank you All right Love it Good morning, everybody We slept so well Brooke just head out for the day I just showered because I was like I need to shower here It was like one of those heads where it's like right above you. So it's like a rainfall showers quite amazing We've got a busy day ahead But Emma and I are about to head down to the lobby and get breakfast and coffee and enjoy our morning And then I'm gonna head back and do some stuff before We go to The shoot so the Sun is out today. Apparently, it's like 38 degrees outside right now Crazy, I don't know why it's so cold. I'm just wearing this ritzia sweat set Just because I'm literally just going back after this and I just don't care too much But this duffel has come in a lot of hand we love the duffel and Yes, I'll wear this bomber over top, too I'm just really hot in here right now because I turned on the heat when I woke up So now I'm like sweating, but I know I'll get outside and be happy that I'm wearing this sweat set. So Goodbye room. You were so good to us. This was a fun little gals on the go Staycation highly suggest if you're coming to New York and want to stay in Brooklyn a great little option It's a little bit more on the luxury side But if you're wanting that It's it's great. The shower is great a little awkward because when I was showering this morning, I had to tell Brooke to sit over there It's clear. But yeah, okay. We are back now. My hair is starting to air dry We had a lovely breakfast at the hotel Emma and I I'm gonna show you guys how I'm doing my hair for the shoot today I'm not going to the driver Are you guys proud? So if you hear music I've been playing this playlist called coffee table jazz on Spotify. I absolutely Love it. It's just like it's kind of like listening to Christmas music, but not during Christmastime. It like has that same feel Anyways, I'm just spraying some heat protectant right now I'm just gonna blow dry it as straight as I can get it and then like when I'm getting Like I don't know like right before I'm about to leave I'll do my hair even more I'm gonna like show you guys how I do the flip up situation with these on the Dyson Airwrap But for now, I'm just gonna try and brush it through Okay, so I got my hair pretty sleek for now to keep my hair out of my face and to just give my front pieces Some volume you guys have seen me do this before but if you're new here, I just take the front Pieces here and brush up Then I take this foam roller or whatever, I don't know if it's not foam this roller that's for workouts from dry bar and Just roll it down. Oh, I need a redo. Hold on Sometimes you don't get all the hair on the first try and that's okay I just roll it down and I take these clips clip her in And it keeps my hair out of my face while I'm about to unpack and clean and Prep for the shoot. So my hair's out of my face. It's so nice. So easy provides a lot of volume I've never like truly done foam rollers throughout foam rollers. I keep calling the foam rollers rollers throughout my whole hair So I just love the Dyson so much, but I do love a good front piece gonna unpack I mean, there's not much in here to unpack you guys know, but gonna unpack from our little staycation It was literally so much fun because I think I'm gonna use this bag again to pack for the shoot We're shooting our don't text merch over there get excited and we also have a don't text mug. We're releasing It might already be out by the time this video is up actually But since we're just we have the studio for two hours and we're getting our makeup done We have the two hoodies and then we have a mug So we might have like a lot of time left because it doesn't take long to shoot hoodies I think Brooke and I are gonna take that time and shoot some like like one or two outfit looks just because we Always use photos of us for like the episode announcements like for each episode graphic each week, so We're texting about putting together some outfits for that. Yeah, I'll check in with you guys in a little bit I'm gonna play a podcast. I might put eyepatches on again because I didn't have mine on for long this morning So we're gonna have those bright under eyes today I showed this in one of my recent vlogs But this is the hotel collection candle. It's in the scent my way and online It says the my way one replicates the one hotel South Beach, which I mean all the one hotels smell the same I think because the one we went to obviously last night. It smells like lil labo sun tall 33s or 26 is the home one So I was like I got to replicate that they literally pump it through the air. It's true It's all so good there. So I thought I'd bring it to my apartment. So yeah, this is a huge candle I also have the reed diffuser. Also, I've showed this before but this lighter is so cool You literally just like hold down. Anyways, look at these super fun props that I got for today's shoot They're both from Amazon. I just looked up like pink old phones. I literally used to have one like this Wow, this is bringing back so many memories. I used to have one like this and it was a Bratz doll phone I had at my room and it actually worked. It was like a home phone I mean these could actually work if you plug them in but how Freaking fun cuz like don't text even though you fully cannot text on phones like this. I'm fully aware I just wow, this is so gorgeous It's gonna photograph really well So it's Brooke and I can each hold like a different phone and then obviously we have one of these others one doesn't actually spin Does it I don't I don't know. I never really used a spin phone I don't know. It was a little bit before my generation, but love this so cute So pumped just got off FaceTime with Brooke we were just planning everything on like how we want to style the merch because obviously our merch is like Hoodies and comfy stuff and we always wear like leggings or sweatpants. So we want to change it up So this is the don't text hoodie coming soon It's basically if you guys have been following us for a while. We did don't text merch like pre kovat We did a lot of different don't text things super probably probably our most popular things We were always saying like don't text busy don't text on vacation like whatever and then we kind of just thought it died out and so many people have asked us to bring it back so we thought we'd bring it back with a little twist because Typically, we just had this one font in the front of the hoodie and that's all we did But now we have that front in the front We have that font on the front of the hoodie and now we have all the stuff in the back too Which is really fun. Anyways, we're trying to like figure out how to dress it up make it fun So I was like, let's throw in some tall boots some Western boots So I'm gonna wear black boots with this because we got like oversized hoodies And then for the white one Brooke has like some brown cowboy boots just to make it fun different the studio is like all white Super cool. There's a fun couch. We're just gonna have some fun with it, you know and then we're also bringing just like jeans and like a simple top to pose with the mug if we want and Then also I wanted to bring some techies sunglasses So we have these cool sunglasses from Brooks birthday party And then I also have these sick sunglasses from Versace that I'm so excited to wear So that'll make it fun and then I'm trying on this dress right now, it's beautiful It's from Rebecca Taylor since we think that the hoodies and the mugs we're gonna shoot probably really fast We're also doing film to Madison Lane's taking our photo. She's amazing cat artistry. She's doing our makeup Well, she's cam to artistry on Instagram So we have a whole team and we're like we're getting our makeup done like let's take advantage of the time We have the studio and everything. So we're gonna do two looks too. Like I already told you guys but um, so yeah This is the first look we were just talking about it. She also has this beautiful Rebecca Taylor dress We're having a Rebecca Taylor. Oh my gosh, there's pockets. I just found this out We just don't have like any springy photos. So this could be fun So we're gonna do a look in this and then I have this yellow set from revolve It's like a midi skirt and a top and she has like a pink dress from Cynthia Rowley So it's gonna go so perfectly and then for the shoes for both dresses I have these pink heels which are so fun but I think we're both just gonna wear like nude heels because it's just super flattering and cute and Perfect. I think we have got it all. I just thought I'd keep you guys posted I just put on these milk makeup Cooling water eye patches. I love them. I store them in my freezer and they feel so good It says chill out on them. This is what I'm gonna wear to the shoot today I always like to wear zip ups to the shoots because it's just easier and once you get your makeup done You can just unzip and get dressed. So this is still on sale. It's the GOTG zip up Love it. We also have a pink one for sale. These pants are from Spanx They're really really comfy and I'm just wearing my sneakers. I've got everything packed right here Yeah, looking good. I'm doing some laundry. I feel like I'm always doing laundry about to start my hair So I'll show you guys that in a second. Alright, it is time to show you guys how I do the little flippy uppy thing I usually use these curling attachments for the Dyson Airwrap to curl my hair but I recently discovered in the last few months that if I want that like blowout look at home where it's like When you go to get a blowout and it's like straight, but it's just like a little flippy at the end I like it to be flipped out. I like rounded in too, but recently I've been doing flipped out So what I do is if you have a Dyson Airwrap or something like it I just collect the very bottom and I don't hold it for too long But just so that I don't like go up to act high up like that Just right here and see that perfect like flip it does because I don't like to use the round brush attachment because it's just a Little bit more damaging for my hair and they don't suggest using round brushes with Extensions all the time. So yeah, I just pick up a little hair on the bottom And then I let it go like look how good that looks it's so impressive I might have to run the flat iron through the tops of my hair in case I missed any kinks when I was straightening it with the brush but Yeah, it's pretty darn simple Boom, and it'll obviously fall but like look how good that is. I'm going to bring my Dyson Airwrap with me though to like touch up All right, we just made it to the studio cat's here cat and I are matching in our little GOTG jackets This is the studio Out of breath because we walked up four flights of stairs So cute love this we could take some pictures here Not this little bookshelf. Honestly, we could like lean against this and then we have this all white situation Very exciting. I got dig in to eat for lunch. Brooke is up first for makeup Hello lights. Love it. Makeup looks amazing. She's about to do lips. It looks so good at cam dot artistry And Brooke's like I want the grand reveal Gotta get the kit shot. We love it all the makeup. So good. Oh my gosh, this makeup looks so good cat I'm obsessed. Hey Brooke, you look so like cool girl. Okay, I'm just in my hoodie and snakes. I love it We just finished I'm in my hoodie now We're about to head back, but it was a success so much fun. Just got back. I Am so happy the photos turned out so cool from what I could see when Madison would show us we had a Madison Lane photo cat cam dot artistry on Instagram makeup Emma and Caroline from team do you have to do there? I was so cool. We all like work so well together now because we've been doing shoots a couple of times. It's just fun It's good vibes and I'm really thankful for all the girls. So I'm so excited about these hoodies. Don't text is back, baby This hoodie is so comfortable. I was literally wearing different a different outfit on the way there But I was like, let me just wear this. I can't lie right now. My battery my social battery is very low That's a very low This past weekend. It was like a lot of socializing which is also fun And then my aunt stayed with me on Sunday night for Easter So I had someone staying with me which was so fun, obviously And then yesterday Brooke and I recorded and then we did the staycation like all amazing things But I was like, why am I feeling like super like I cannot talk to anybody and I think that's why because even like at the shoot like obviously I want to like see how everyone's doing and Like I haven't seen some of them and also we're like shooting. I'm like wait, how was your weekend? You know, so I think That I need to not talk for the next few hours Yeah, just listen to a podcast or put on a show like think about other things But my apartment's like clean like I don't need to clean which is really hype I I cleaned it hardcore in my last vlog before my aunt came. So now I just feel so nice I do have to unpack all this stuff to stuff from the shoot and Last I saw Ryan was on Easter. So I think we're going to Like hang out tonight later, but I just like need a moment to myself. So Yeah, I'll check in with you guys. Probably later. Hello everybody. It's a lot later. It's 1130 now I Literally whenever I get my makeup done. I just don't want to take it off, but it's time to take it off I have a couple falsies at that like a couple lashes.
