EXTREME BEDROOM MAKEOVER / TRANSFORMATION + ROOM TOUR 2019! (Aesthetic + vsco inspired room decor)

Hi guys, it's Frankie, welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel. I'm filming in a weird corner of my room because I don't want you guys to see it yet. About a month ago I posted this video where I cleaned my room on camera and all I have to say is that after that I felt embarrassed showing my room to the internet. I just, it's never really been a place that I loved being in. It just, I don't know, I just never made it cute, never made it how I wanted. And I thought it was finally time to change that so that's where this video came about. I am so happy with how my room turned out, like I can't believe this is mine. So yeah, I hope you guys enjoy this video and let's get into it. Ah, there she is, my old bedroom, not very cute is it? As you can see it needed a serious upgrade. My old bed with the mismatching bedding, my sad little wall decorations, the mass amounts of clutter that was on the floor, um yeah, I don't know why I let myself live like this for so long or how my room even got to looking like this, but I know one thing, I am not going to miss it. So we have this table, it kind of looks like just a pile of stuff with a table top on it, but um, that is where my reptile friend used to be, but sadly she passed away so I don't need this table anymore so I'm going to take this out and it'll free up all this space and I'm going to move my TV over here. Table is gone and I am dying. Wow, my room is starting to look empty, the carpet is trashed from middle school Frankie, but um, anyways, it's looking good, other than that I need to take all this stuff down and that, but I'm too tall so I'm going to have my boyfriend do that, but, wow. So my TV was in front of this, which was, I had a wall mount for my- I had a wall mount for my old TV and my new TV was just like covering it up and then I took the wall mount off and I found out that my dad didn't paint behind it so this is like the old color of my room and there's just like tape stuck in the paint so I have to like putty this off and paint over it because it looks horrible. In my early high school years, this wall used to be covered in photos and there's still some up and I did that with poster putty and it left like this weird, I don't know, oh yeah you can kind of see it on camera, all these weird little oil spots so my wall is just coated in them and I'm gonna have to wash my wall but first I have to get the rest of the stupid putty off so that's what I'm doing currently. I'm gonna attempt to move my bed without any help right now because everyone's super busy so I'm just gonna try and wing it, I don't know if I'm strong enough but my apple pencil fell behind my bed like a week ago and I am so happy I just found it but look at all the trash that has fallen under my bed over the years, that is disgusting. I just moved that bed by myself, I'm dying of sweat but I'm proud. I can't believe I moved that, I didn't think I could but... This is the countertop I ended up getting, it's in my garage right now because it's super heavy and yeah but the only thing wrong with it is there's a sticker thing, goo on it that I think I can get off but it is beautiful and you guys are never gonna guess how much I paid for this. Five dollars and thirty cents for this countertop, it's a five foot countertop so it was a dollar per foot and then taxed so I am super happy with it. The reason that countertop was so cheap is because I got it from a furniture outlet store so basically that was in an office somewhere and they rent out furniture essentially from this place and when they get it back they sell it for super cheap because it's used so there's like hundreds of countertops there and they're a dollar foot so I got a steal on that one, there was no other gray wood cute ones like that. I was really happy when I found this one, I could not find any other one like this and it was the perfect size, perfect like depth this way, a lot of them were skinny like long countertops but they were like skinny this way, I don't know if you get what I'm saying like I don't know. Anyways this desktop is perfect and I just need to get legs and I will have myself my own desk. Wow the sunset is so pretty, my mom just texted me and said we need to go outside and look at the sunset because it is gorgeous. Back to redoing my room. Okay this is where we're ending for the night, I think tomorrow hopefully I will start decorating, sorry my voice is like all weird right now but put my new bedding on possibly and then make it look cute. This side still has got some work to do, I have to paint over this tomorrow and I have some plans for this wall. For now this is what my room looks like after the first full day of working on it so I'll see you guys tomorrow. Ugh day two, don't even get me started on day two. Although I didn't get a lot of clips of it, most of the day was spent running around with my mother looking for stupid table legs. I eventually just gave up and ordered them online because I couldn't find something I want but I did get an awesome deal so I will leave the link down below. Okay supposedly this is the same paint color as the wall, um looks a little light but hopefully it dries darker plus I have to put another coat so maybe it looks weird but. So um yeah um that's not the right color, even when it dries I think it'd be way too light. So we found a can of this gray, this is a little darker, we paint our basement this color and I'm just gonna paint this whole wall like just this wall this color because I don't know what else to do so I'm gonna have an accent wall. I'm looking for a chair but I can't decide, they're kind of just all over too so. Rollie test, not very rollie, not passing the rollie test. Okay I better leave before I break something. Okay didn't get a chair but we got this thing so I guess it's okay. TJ Maxx, not successful. We were just saying how come every time I look at the chairs I find one I want and now that I have the money for the chair I can't buy the stupid chair. Anywhere. Store number three. Approaching the chair section. Oh I like this chair, no it's sad and dirty. I think someone definitely used this for like weeks and then returned it. Okay we're back, I want the white chair. Okay here she is, this is my selection. Does it pass the roll test? Does it pass the up and down test? Looks pretty good. Gone with this one. Okay I got this and I got this at home goods. Okay not this, this but you know. Okay here is my measurements for my brackets that I'm going to put on my wall. I have my boyfriend cut this 10 foot piece of wood that I bought in half and I'm going to attempt to make shelves out of it. Our drill bit got stuck in the wall and the machine won't, like the drill won't grasp it so it's kind of just stuck there. We don't know what to do. FedEx is here delivering my legs. Thanks man. I see them. Sorry my room looks like a construction site right now but the legs came and I am so happy they look so cute and I think they're gonna be awesome on that table with the chair that I got. So can't put them up yet until I get my shelves done but yeah. Oh my god we got them up but we still have three more to go. One done. Look at those beauties. There they are finally after two days. Oh my gosh look how cute it is. We made a desk and a shelf. All my fantasies. I actually got my mother to willingly drill two large holes in my ceiling so that I could put hooks in there to hang these two huge vintage macrame plant hangers that I got in an estate sale a few weeks ago. I paid ten dollars for both of them. They were in an old dusty garage and I think they look awesome hanging from my ceiling. I ended up having to lengthen one because it looked weird when they were hanging at the same height but once I got them how I wanted they were awesome. It was time to replace this squiggly old lamp with a brand new one. I got really lucky and my local Target donated a bunch of stuff to the local Salvation Army near me and one of those things happened to be this lamp. Salvation Army marked on their stuff after it sits in their store for too long and I ended up getting it for half their asking price so I paid only twelve dollars for it and the only thing that I could find that was wrong with it was that there was a small stain on the shade but I just run it to the back so you can't even see it and they're still currently selling this lamp in Target stores right now and I got it for half the price. What a steal. Oh yeah and I've really been wanting a circle mirror for a long time and I got really really lucky at Bed Bath & Beyond and I found this one on clearance for $18. Like are you kidding me? They're like $70 everywhere else and it was the only one there so I had to jump on this deal. I hope you guys love how it turned out as much as I did. I can't believe this is my room like oh my god. I love it so much but um there are still some things that I want to change like I want to get a big full body length mirror eventually and maybe put some more things on the wall but other than that this is pretty much done.
