CLEANING BABY SEA TURTLES!

On an island in the middle of nowhere, these are godsands. Got ourselves a little bit of a breakfast, some coffee, some peanut butter on toast, some fruit, and I don't know, some local bread? That one's green by the way. Good morning everybody! We have just woken up on this beautiful tropical island of Nusa Penida and our first task of the day is to go in, clean up the tank for the sea turtles, give them a bit of a feed, and then afterwards we get to clean the little baby turtles. Also, once you've done your week of volunteering, you're able to leave your little mark right here. That's kind of cool. They're hungry. Okay, so we need to take the turtles out of the tank so that when we feed them, the tanks don't get messy. So I need to get in there and get some of the turtles. Alrighty, we're about to feed some little baby turtles. These guys are four months old and they're still so small. We just have to try and make sure all of them get fed as well. So cool being able to feed the turtles. I'm the mother of turtles. So then straight after they eat, we put them back inside their tanks. So these turtles that we're putting back are hawksbill turtles. So once they've finished eating, we put them back into the tank so they can have a bit more room than these buckets. Alrighty, now that the turtles have been fed, it is time to clean out their tanks. So once the turtles get to a certain size, they are ready for releasing. These guys are almost ready for release. Hello. I don't have any more food. No. The whole gang's coming. So this guy over here is a albino green turtle. But it's so incredible being able to see one of these turtles in real life. So he's just right there. What an incredible morning. I am drenched in sweat. This Bali heat is so humid, but we're heading out now. Alrighty guys, after a morning of hard work, we are all heading down to the beach. There's like this little cafe right on the beach there that we're all going to go grab a drink, grab some cheeky wifi, and then just chill out. It is crazy hot here on the island. Oh, there's a cow. Oh, hello. Where's the cafe? Just what I need, a nice cold drink. Yes. Alrighty, we stopped for a bit of work and got ourselves some hot chips. Ah, this is paradise. Look at how blue that sea is. Seriously guys, I have not felt... Oh, the sand is hot. This feels like so much like paradise. It's such a beautiful beach and there are no tourists here. It's literally just family houses for all I can see down there. Never even really heard about this island, but I think if I ever returned to Bali, I would come back here and I would suggest you guys can come here. I'm pretty sure you can just come here for a day tour. I mean, this is so beautiful. Anyway, we've ordered a second helping of chips and I see Jess is helping herself nicely to them. Alrighty guys, we've just taken the scooters down because we have the afternoon off because it's the weekend to a place called Crystal Bay. I was going to record the scooter drive, but my GoPro ran out of battery as soon as I jumped on. So I'll record the incredible views we had through this island. Alright, we're going on a bit of a adventure explore across these little rocks here to see if we can get a good view of that little island there. I think we have found an epic Instagram photo location. It's like these reflections of the water on the ground and then you can see the island out there. It's made for photos this spot. Alrighty, the photo mission was a success and now we are jumping back on the scooters for an afternoon siesta, probably. Thank you. Thank you so much.
