Do you want to see how I decorate this glam Christmas tree in three different budgets,
Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Hobby Lobby? Keep watching.
Hello everyone, I'm Ramon. Welcome back to Ramona Home. If you're new to this channel,
let me give you a warm welcome and let you know that I'm an interior designer, seasonal decorator,
and DIYer who wants to help you make your home your favorite place on earth. So please consider
subscribing. Today's video is going to be so much fun because I'm going to show you how to decorate
with three different budgets. We'll first do Dollar Tree, then we'll add some Walmart,
and then we're going to end up with Hobby Lobby. And I know a few things about decorating Christmas
trees because I worked in this industry for over 10 years and I have decorated some spectacular
trees for various stores that I work for. And today I'm going to show you all the tips and
tricks that I've gathered for these many years. This is also inspired by the lantern and the
matching wreath that I've done and also the centerpiece. If you have not seen those videos,
I'm going to link them down below so you can check them out. But to show you how to decorate
this gorgeous glam Christmas tree in three different budgets, keep watching. All right,
everyone. So I want to start by mentioning a few things that you need to get done before you start
decorating your Christmas tree. Now, the very first thing is that you need to set up your tree
and fluff it. And I already showed you how to do that on our previous tree decorating with
the snowman theme. But for this theme, we already have it all set up. It's all fluffed out. The
lights are working. Make sure that all of those lights are working. And then the other thing is
get all your materials close to you. I have gathered all of my ornaments and all my picks
and ribbons right here on this top. That way I can just continue to go on with the decorating
of the tree without having to be looking for the items that I want to put in, including your tools,
your wire cutters, your scissors, everything that you need. Just put it right next to you.
All right. So the very first thing we're going to do for our dollar tree theme is going to be
put some of this deco material into the tree. And there's no rhyme or reason for this. The only
thing that I do want to let you know is that you want to put as much as you can. And the reason
why is because that's going to give it, there's going to cover the holes on it and it's going to
give it a lot of texture. And as you guys can see, like I have already taken it out of the roll
and all you have to do is go ahead and fluff it and just stick it in these big holes and
these big gaps right here. That's where you want to stick it as further in. And then also you want
to go ahead and fluff. And like I mentioned, you want to make sure that you put as much as you can
from this material. So I'm going to go ahead and add another roll. Once again, I'm just going to
drop it on the floor and then I'm going to go ahead. I'm going to start from this side now.
Now I do think that this deco material really covers the gaps as you guys can see, and you don't
have to worry about the rhyme or the reason of this step. Just make sure that you cover as much
as you can from these gaps. And as you guys can see, I'm just literally just pushing it into the
tree because this material really sticks to your trees and wreaths. It's designed to grab on
to your designs. So I'm basically just pushing it in as far as I can and then go ahead and give it
a fluff, open it up. So it really covers your tree. And as you guys can see, two rolls so far. I'm
going to do a third one, but I'm going to concentrate towards the bottom of it. I'm going to start right
here. And you want to make sure that you cover all of those empty spots just by doing a little
give, pushing it in like this. That's going to really help cover some of those gaps. And you
really are not going to see much of this anyways because we're going to put so many ornaments and
other ribbons on it. But this is what really helps you cover your gaps. And like I said, I want to
concentrate right here on the bottom because that seems to be the part where we forget to decorate
the most. I'm just going to go ahead and add right here. Let me unroll it. Thumbs up if you guys are
enjoying this series. We've done so many projects and I've had so much fun showing you guys how to
decorate your Christmas trees, your mantles, your wreaths. We're about to do centerpieces, more
centerpieces. All right. So, so far I have all of my deco material and it's just whipped in as far
as I can into my tree. So, the next thing I want to do is I'm going to bring out this ribbon. This
is also from the dollar store. This sheds a lot of glitter. So, just drop it on the floor. Start
right here on the top. And I've chosen this gold one. And what I want to do is I'm going to go ahead
Just do a little poof right there. Twist. A little poof. Twist. Yet another poof right here.
Twist. Poof and twist. I'm going to go all the way down right here. Just by giving a give,
you're really creating that really pretty wavy motion. Then I have another one over here. And
these are only a dollar. So, these, you get a lot of ribbon and a lot of look for your dollar.
So, I really recommend it. Like I said, it sheds a lot of glitter, but what would Christmas be
without glitter, right? So, I'm just going to go ahead and drop it on the floor. And I'm going
to start right here. I'm going to grab this and twist. Then I'm going to go ahead and give it a
little poof and twist. Get yet another one right here and twist. I want that ribbon to really come
out so it shows because once we add the ornaments, you don't want to lose your show ribbon. This is
what I call the show ribbon because it's the showiest out of all of them. All right. So,
I'm going to add it right here. Then I'm going to go ahead and add right here. I'm going to create
yet another loop and I'm going to add right here. And if there's a tail at the end, we just dovetail
it. And then I have another one, but this time it's in silver. So, remember this is a glam look
and we're trying to add all of the metals like silver, gold, and rose gold. So, I'm just going
to go ahead and open this guy up. I'm going to let it drop on the floor. And I'm going to start right
here in the middle. Right here. Just create a little loop and twist. Create yet another loop
right here and twist it in. Yet another loop right here and twist it in. Now, this is where our
scissors come in handy. And like I told you, I like to have all my tools. I'm going to dovetail
right here. You have to have all of your tools at the ready. Then I have a little bit left of it.
So, I'm just going to go ahead and go up here. I'm going to add this leftover ribbon because you
don't want to pitch anything. You know, we pay so much money for materials. You want to make sure
that you use all of the ribbon. All right. So, so far, so good. So, the next step will be to add
our picks. And I have found these really cute picks from the dollar store. They're glittered
ferns and they're just so cute. So, what I recommend is just go ahead and open them up.
I'm going to start right here. And that really gives it that cascading designer look. All right.
So, I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to go in a triangle motion. I'm going to go right here. I'm
going to stick this one right here. And you want to make sure they pop out. Don't stick them all
the way in. And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to go back to that side. More of a
ladder motion. I'm going like this here. You want to go ahead and go down a little bit. Stick it
right there. Then I'm going to go over to the other side. Once again, remove all of these tags
because you don't want your Christmas tree to have any tags of any sort. And then go ahead and
open it. Fluff it. And then so I went boom, boom, boom. So, we're going to go back to this side
right here. Right. And then I'm going to go over to this side. I have one more.
And these are only a dollar. So, I really recommend you load up on this. You get a lot
of product. A lot of look for only one dollar. But you really do have to make sure that you
open them up like this. And then go ahead and insert this into your tree. If you have to,
you can also twist tie it. But at this point, they stay pretty good. So, I love the way this
is looking. However, I did show you how to make these ornament garlands. And here's a gold version
of it. If you guys haven't seen the video on how to make these garlands, I'm going to link it up.
It's super easy and you can just do it with all leftover ornaments. So, I'm going to start right
here. I'm going to grab one of my bristles and I'm going to give it a twist. I'm going to go in
and I'm going to push in as far as I can right here. I'm going to grab one of the bristles and
just basically twist it in. And I'm going to go over here. And you can make these garlands as long
as you want. You can make as many as you want. It is a super fun project. And look, it really
gives you a lot of real estate. So, then I also show you how to make these clusters. And I have
made some of these gold clusters right here. And what I want to do with this, look how I'm going
stick my hand up here. I want to go ahead and stick my hand because I want to pull. And then
with that pipe cleaner, you just secure it to one of the bristles. And that is another secret I can
give you. You don't want to have it just out here. You want to make sure that, look, you stick your
hand in here as far as you can and then you pull on it. And that way it goes in to the tree and it
gives you a cluster inside of the tree. And I have done many of these ones before. You guys have seen
them on my wreaths. You have seen them on my fireplaces. I think you've even seen them on my
centerpieces. And it is prep work, what I call it. But you know what? It really, look how fast and
easy it makes your job. You basically just twist and you want to leave the whole pipe cleaner
because that way if you have to go further in, you can. But look how beautiful that just like
shows a whole bunch of ornaments instead of having dotted ornaments, which to me,
there's nothing worse than having just dotted ornaments on a tree. This case right here makes
it look more designer-like and also helps you fill in all of the gaps. Look, just by adding
one cluster, you basically just save yourself all that time. Oh, it looks so pretty. All right,
I have a few more of these ornament clusters. So I noticed that I'm going that way and this way.
That is balancing my tree. I'm going to go ahead and add it right here. And then also, you don't
want to forget about the back of your tree. So you want to repeat all of the steps that you're
doing on the front. You want to bring them all the way to the back like that. All right, so,
so far, that's what we have. So the next step will be to add our showstopper ornaments. And
all of these ornaments came from the Dollar Tree. Let me get ready for them. All right, you guys,
so I have chosen a selection of these Dollar Tree ornaments, like this guy right here. He's a
snowflake and he's only a dollar. These are the ornaments that you want to put forward and you
want to see them everywhere you go around the tree. And my secret that I can give you with this
is just go ahead and place them so they hang like that and you can really see them. But don't be
afraid to adjust them. And then the other thing, notice that I'm doing all of the same ornaments
at the same time, because that way, if you only have five, that'll help you distribute the
ornament evenly into the tree. So just go ahead and put that ornament in there and let it hang
down. And like I said, just go ahead and do all of the ones, all of the same ones. So I have yet
another one and he's stuck on this reindeer. By the way, you guys, thumbs up for Dollar Tree
stepping up the game on the ornament game. I cannot believe these ornaments are only a dollar
and I absolutely love them. Look, you get all this look for only one dollar and it really
makes your tree look like a designer tree. So I'm just going to go ahead and put it right there,
let it hang. And I have one more of that. And so notice once again that I'm going in and out from
the tree. That way I can balance it out. I'm going to go ahead and put this guy right here.
Right. All right. So then I have this little beautiful snowflake that also got from Dollar
Tree and I think only got three of them. So you want to make sure that you want them on a very
prolific spot. So they are seen from everywhere. I'm going to add this guy right here like so.
And I have another one over here. If you guys are enjoying this season, don't forget to recommend
to your friends to come and check it out. I'm having so much fun showing you guys all these
tricks of the trade. And then also don't forget to follow me on Instagram for daily updates and
stories. We'll be having so much fun showing you some of the behind the scenes. I'm going to cross
over here. So I'm going to go ahead and add this guy right here. All right. So now I have this
beautiful gold with a mirror that also came from the dollar store for a dollar.
These are so pretty. So I want to make sure that I put them on a very prolific spot because they
really will help you catch the light. And don't be afraid to nestle them in. I have yet another
one over here. And as you guys can see, just with Dollar Tree items, you can have a gorgeous,
gorgeous tree. You do not have to spend hundreds of dollars. And the total cost for this tree
transformation is under 80 dollars, you guys, plus a tree. I did not spend more than 80 dollars
on all of this stuff. So for under 80 dollars, you too can have a gorgeous designer Christmas
tree if you just follow all these steps. So basically ornaments, picks and ribbon
evenly distribute into the tree can make anyone's tree like a designer tree. All right,
I'm going to go ahead and put this guy over here. And like I said, don't forget to if your tree is
going to be seen from the back as well. Don't forget to distribute all the way to the back.
At this point, to finish the back, I will probably spend another 20, 15 to 20 dollars.
And then that way we can have it all the way around. But because this tree is going to be
in a corner, then the back doesn't really need to be that fully finished. Then we have this
reindeer and I love this reindeer guy. So cute. So I'm going to go ahead and add him into my tree.
And as you guys can see, he's getting pretty full with ornaments and ribbons. And I'm trying now,
I'm fighting to find a spot to put my reindeer. So I'm going to put him right here. And as you
guys can see, it really catches the light. And this look is so glam, so gorgeous. I have one
more and I think that's all we have for today. I'm going to pull this guy out, free him and I'm
going to add him right here. All right, well, this is our Dollar Tree look, as you can see,
with under $80, you can create a beautiful designer look. I also love the way this turned
out. It is super glamorous. It is so snowy. It has so many ornaments and I love it. But
we're going to add some Walmart items and show you how you can transform with just a few more
dollars from a Dollar Tree look to a Walmart look. All right, everyone. So now I'm going to show you
how we can add about $30 worth of Walmart product and change the look of this Dollar Tree Christmas
tree. And how we're going to do that is we're going to start with a ribbon. So I found this
ribbon at Walmart. It is a rose gold. So this is also when we introduce a rose gold.
So what I want to do is I'm going to go ahead and make some bows and I'm going to do a little
tail right here. I'm going to do a six loop bow. I'm going to go ahead and actually just drop it
on the floor like I always do. Then I'm going to go ahead and just add myself some tails.
And then I'm going to go ahead and just finish right here. And so what I want to do is I'm
going to grab a pipe cleaner and I'm going to go ahead and attach this. And what I want to do
is I'm going to go ahead. First of all, let me take this tape off. I'm going to go ahead and
add these bows into my tree to add a little bit of color and interest, right? Make sure that you
fluff them. And I have pre-made some of them. In some of them, I left a really long tail. And the
reason why I do that is to go ahead and weave in that into my tree. So I'm going to go ahead and
attach this guy right here. Make sure that you pull really tight. So what you want to do is you
go ahead and fluff this bow. And then with this longer tail, what you want to do is just weave it
into the tree. Move some ornaments around. That way it looks like you actually put ribbon into
your tree with the same color. So I have a few more I want to show you how to make. I have this
one right here. Make sure the tail goes down. So I'm going to put it right about here. I'm going
to go ahead and attach it to one of my bristles. Fluff your bow. And then with this longer tail,
just go ahead and weave it into the tree like this. So I have a few more. And so what I'm going
to do is I'm going to go ahead and put one right here. These bows also are helping us cover some of
those bigger gaps. So just go ahead and pull it all the way in by moving your ornaments like this.
Attach to one of your bristles. Fluff it like this. And then this longer tail, just do some
loops going down. Move some ornaments around. Go ahead and finish it like that. And I have one
more right here. So let me see. Where do we need it? I think we need it right over here.
So at this point, you also just let your eye dictate where those ornaments should go. So I'm
going to go ahead and make some tails and loops. And then just weave in this ribbon into your tree.
And it's just giving it so much more look. All right. So then what I have is these rose gold
ornaments from Walmart. And so what I'm going to do is I'm going to find open spots like here.
And I'm just going to go ahead and add them to my open spots and fill it in. But remember to
go in and out of your tree to balance it out. I'm going to go ahead and add this guy right here.
And so I have a few more of this particular one. I'm going to go ahead and add one right here on
the top like that. And then I have one last one of this kind. So I'm going to go ahead and add it
right about here. And as you guys can see, the tree is getting full. It's looking so fabulous.
Then what I found also is these packs of ornaments at Walmart. These are so cute.
And what I like about this is because it's more like an icicle, right? So what I want to do is I
guys then go down into my tree because they're really going to add that pink sparkle to it
and make sure they all go all the way around and go ahead and put this guy right here.
So they show really beautifully. Thumbs up if you guys are enjoying this video. I'm having so much
fun transforming this dollar tree into a little bit more of a glam look. All right. So I'm going
to go ahead and add one more of this gold rose gold. I'm going to add it right here.
Right. It's just a little touch of pink, not so much of it. Then what I'm going to do, this also
came in gold. So I'm going to go ahead and add this gold ones all the way around. Make sure you
put them all the way around your tree. And at this point, the tree is getting so full and it's looking
so gorgeous. It's making me so excited. I'm going to add this guy right here. Let them dangle down
over. So I'm going to add another spot like right here. I'm going to go ahead and push it in like
that. And you also want the ornaments to go in like let them go in and out. That way, they like
this depth and dimension to them. I'm going to go over to this side. And these ornaments are so
gorgeous and so affordable. A Walmart. I'm going to add this one right here like that. All right.
So lovely. I love the way this is looking. However, the showstopper really will be this
beautiful butterflies that I found at Walmart. Also, these were only like three dollars apiece
and they have a little clip on the back. So what I want to do is I want to go ahead
and clip them into my tree. I want to make sure that I have some on the top up here.
It'll serve as our tree topper like that. They're so easy to play with because they
have that little clip on them. So you make sure that you go all the way around.
I want to put one right here like that. You can play with the wings. I think I have a few more.
So I'm going to go ahead and I want up here. Remember to go up and down and then also all
the way around. All right. Let me see. Where do we need one? I feel like we need one right here
Make sure you flap those wings and put your beautiful butterfly like that.
And just like that, you guys, you have transformed with yet another 30 dollars.
You have transformed your Dollar Tree into a beautiful Walmart design that I also love the way
all the silver, all this gold and rose gold look all together. It is super yummy. I also love it.
However, we have one more look. We're going to add yet another 40 dollars worth of
ornaments from Hobby Lobby, and we're going to show you what the end result
looks like. And I'm super excited. All right, everyone. So so far we have added our Dollar
Tree ornaments and ribbons. We have added our Walmart ribbon and also some ornaments as well
as these beautiful butterflies. And so now our tree is looking fabulous. However, I really don't
think a tree looks absolutely gorgeous unless it's three dimensional. And the way we do that
is by adding some pics like this right here. And this came from Hobby Lobby. I spent about
30 dollars worth of pics. We have the cedar ones and then we also have these glittered ones. They
are just going to make all the difference on the tree and is going to make it look three dimensional.
So what I like to do is I just like to find spots like right here where it needs to come out. And as
you guys can see, this gives it like a lot of depth. So what I like to do is I just like to
go all the way around my tree. And what you want to do is you want to give this a bend like this
so you can insert it and it will still come out. So I want to make sure that I put one right about
here. And as you guys can see, it just gives it that three dimensional tree look. And I absolutely
love it. So I'm going to add one right here on the top. Then once you add on the top, you want
out. It's all about letting them fly out. So I'm going to add one right here. Then at the end,
we're going to go back and we're going to go ahead and flap all of the bows and add all the ornaments
and place them where they need to be. And this is going to be probably the most gorgeous Christmas
tree I think I've ever done. Oh, I love how this is flying out. Thumbs up for this little trick,
if you enjoyed this trick. Once again, you can find these guys at Hobby Lobby.
Those are the only things I bought were picks like this. So I'm going to go ahead and add one.
See, sometimes you have to go to the opposite side to find out that it is on the other side
that it needs it. This one right here, I'm going to go ahead and attach with one of the bristles
so it stays in place like that. And so now that we have the greenery ones, what we need to do
is we need to go back with the pick glitter ones and we need to make sure that we remove all this
tags. Oh my gosh, they're really stuck in there, don't they? It's like we're going to steal them
or something. All right, so we're going to cut all of those tags and then what I want to do is
I want to go ahead and place them coming out of the tree and that just looks so beautiful. Oh my
gosh, this is so pretty. I'm so excited. So we're going to go ahead and add it like that and look
how beautiful and three-dimensional that makes your tree look. So gorgeous. So I'm going to add
this one right about right here and it gives it also a lot of sparkle. I'm going to put them all
in my hand and I'm going to bring them out like this. Make sure you fluff them, don't put them
all flat like they come on the box. Make sure you fluff those stems and as you guys can see,
it's just giving it that designer look. This is how we make them look when you work in retail
and you have to decorate trees for show. This is basically what we do. We just load them up with
ornaments in hopes to inspire people to come and, you know, buy the merchandise. So pretty. I'm going
to do one pointing up right here like that. I absolutely love the way this turned out. Please
leave me a comment down below and let me know what do you think with all of its beautiful Walmart bows
and ornaments, the beautiful Hobby Lobby picks and Walmart butterflies and Dollar Tree ornaments.
