I know we're all excited about the 2022 playoffs. I mean, I am. This is about as
competitive as the NBA has ever seen. I mean, you have Kyrie and KD coming in as the 7th seed in the
East, you have Golden State with its Hall of Fame trio finally back together, and then you have the
combination of LeBron, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook missing the play in tournament. Haha,
well, I'm pretty sure nobody saw that coming before the season began.
Anyway, that's sort of what I want to talk about today. LeBron James, and some of y'all might hate
this take, and some of y'all might love it, but I think he's headed towards joining Stephen Curry
and the Golden State Warriors in the 2024 season. And today, I'll go over why that's the best
decision for him, and why it's probably going to happen. And also, what would that mean for
the Warriors as an organization? First of all, it all starts with
Bronny James. Bronny is currently 17 years old and will be eligible to enter the NBA in 2024.
He's projected to be either a late first round or early second round pick.
And the Warriors, well, they just happen to have a first round top four projected pick and
potentially three second round draft picks in 2024. So, the picks are definitely there, and,
well, moving on here. LeBron James has repeatedly stated that he wants to end his NBA career
playing alongside his son. He specifically said,
My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that's where I'll be.
I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It's not about the money at that
point. Now, just think, as a father, what kind of organization would you want your son to play
with? I know LeBron said that he'd be anywhere where his son lands, but as a father, you'd want
your son to be in the best possible organization that can foster growth and, more importantly,
where Bronny would be happy. And what better organization can there possibly be at the
current moment? I mean, Golden State is known to develop players into stars, they have a quality
group of veterans who know how to win and have fun at the same time, and it just seems like the
Warriors are a team that almost every player in the NBA wants to play for. Except Kent Bazemore,
but we'll leave it at that. Anyway, with LeBron's current organization, the Los Angeles Lakers,
they gave up too much for Russell Westbrook, and if no teams are going to want to acquire him,
it would appear that his contract is just too heavy to build a well-rounded team to surround
their stars. In addition, Anthony Davis is one of the top players in the NBA when healthy,
but as of late, it just seems like he's always injured. Plus, there are trade rumors of him
getting traded, so at the moment, it just seems that all arrows point to LeBron leaving LA once
his contract is finished. Next off on why LeBron would want to join the Warriors is because he said
it himself. In a recent interview where he was asked which player he would love to play with,
James replied, In today's game? Steph Curry. Steph Curry is the one I want to play with for sure in
today's game. I love everything about that guy. When he gets out of his car, you better guard him
the moment he pulls up to the arena. You might want to guard him when he gets out of bed. In
addition, believe it or not, but Steph Curry has a signed LeBron James jersey in his old bedroom.
I mean, the two had a good connection even before Curry got to the NBA. LeBron would go watch
Davidson games and Curry would go watch Cavaliers games. Curry even attended a LeBron camp when he
was younger, and uh, I could go on and on about the relationship between the two, but let's just
move on here. Klay Thompson, on the other hand, recently starred in Space Jam 2 right alongside
LeBron, and then comes Draymond Green. Despite what happened during the 2016 playoffs, Draymond
and LeBron James have developed an uncanny friendship. I mean, they went from enemies
on the court to buddy buddies. Recently, Draymond even said on his podcast, Steve Kerr, I'm throwing
this game out there right now. If LeBron James is passing the all-time scoring record and we have a
Those were big words, and the two of them were spotted together at the 2022 Super Bowl.
Furthermore, on Draymond Green's podcast, when he invited Steph on, it seemed to me like he was
lobbying Steph Curry for the green light, whereas Steph was maybe 50-50 on the idea, and said it'd
be great, but at the moment, it's still just a fantasy for him. So, it definitely does seem that
the Warriors' three superstars have a positive connection with the King, and that if he wants
himself and Bronny to join the Warriors, all he has to do is say the word. And on top of all this,
the crazy thing is that the Warriors could potentially sign LeBron James for the veterans
minimum. He won't really care about his team's salary because he's worth almost a billion dollars,
and because it's obvious that at this point in his life, the opportunity of playing in the NBA with
his son is priceless. He'd be 39 years old at the time, but hey, at 37, he was second in the league
in scoring at 30.3 un-efficient shooting percentages.
At age 39, he probably won't be one of the best players in the league anymore, but hey,
if LeBron played the part of a role player, I'm more than confident that he could average
about 20, 5, and 5 while being as efficient as he always has been. I mean, in 2024,
imagine this lineup. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, LeBron James, and James Wiseman.
Then you have Jordan Poole and Jonathan Kaminga coming off the bench. Curry would be 35,
the same age as Chris Paul, who's playing like an absolute superstar. Klay Thompson would be
the same age as Kevin Durant currently, who probably would have been the MVP this season
if not for his injuries. Draymond Green would be the same age as Patrick Beverly today,
who is still a defensive menace. James Wiseman would finally have a few years of basketball
under his belt. And then you have LeBron James at age 39. He won't be the leader of the team,
but he's a high IQ basketball player who can cut without the ball, who can post up smaller players
and do that mid-range fadeaway. And he's definitely no splash brother, but as of late,
he definitely has improved his three-point shot quite a bit. Then coming off the bench,
you'd have Jordan Poole and Jonathan Kaminga, who would probably both be all-star caliber
players at the time. Sheesh guys, the roster would be a bit older, but it would be a mix
of veterans and younger players, and probably would be in serious contention for a championship.
Bronny can come off the bench from time to time during the regular season, and LeBron would have
his dream come true of playing with his son in the NBA. And he'd have a winning shot at another
championship while he's at it. And then like I said, after LeBron leaves, I'm sure Draymond
Green would look after Bronny while he's in the Bay Area. Plus, what better team to develop his
talents than Golden State? I mean, look at what the organization did with Jordan Poole. A late
first-round pick, but now he's playing like the 2015 MVP version of Curry. Then look at Andrew
Wiggins. A borderline bust by most analysis when he was in Minnesota, but now he's an all-star
starter. In addition, San Francisco is still really close to Los Angeles, so Bronny would
be close to his family. This would be a win-win-win situation on all sides, really. LeBron would be
able to play with his son and compete for a championship. The Warriors would be able to
acquire one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA at the veteran's minimum price.
And Bronny would be in one of the best organizations in the NBA. And if there's any team that can bring
out the best in a player, it's gotta be the Warriors. I'm sure LeBron's comments about
playing with Steph Curry have already alerted Bob Myers and Joe Lacob, and the thought of acquiring
Bronny to acquire LeBron is already in their plan. And I look forward to what's going to happen in
2024. But anyway, in the meantime, the playoffs started, and for the Warriors, I have a feeling
this year is going to be a great post-run season for them. If you're curious to see how I think
this is going to pan out, then click this video right here, where I go over my exact predictions.
The first part of it has already come true, so, so far, I'm one for one. Anyway,
just click the video, guys, and like always, I'll see you on the other side.
