CHRISTMAS IN...... AUGUST?!🎄

Hey guys, today I was not planning on doing any kind of video or vlog. I don't know what I'd even call this, but I thought this is something really fun, something we've never done before and why not share it? So my mom put together a list of months and then each kid drew a month that they would plan something special and I drew the month of August and I thought it'd be really fun to do like a Christmas in July, although it's August, but the same kind of thing, like a day of just Christmas that's in the middle of the summer. We've never done this before, but I thought this would be really fun and I probably went overboard, but I want to show you guys what we planned for the day and all my family's coming over so we're all going to enjoy this together. First thing, when my kids woke up this morning, in the middle of the night last night, me and my husband decorated the house for Christmas. We put up our Christmas tree. We wrapped Christmas presents and put them underneath the tree and we got one present for each kid and that also includes like my nieces and nephews that will be coming today. So there's six presents under the tree, but my kids were freaking out like when they woke up. Sorry, my camera keeps losing focus. So my kids woke up and I'll show you guys the clip right here of them waking up to the tree and seeing presents under the tree. So they were totally surprised. We haven't told any of the kids what we're doing. The adults know that we're having this Christmas dinner, but the kids didn't know like anything at all. So here we have our tree. I did not put up the majority of the ornaments. This literally took me 15 minutes. I just stuck in some ribbon, a couple of ornaments and sorry the lighting is so bad here because we just have so many windows in this room and I hung up a couple stockings. I don't know where the rest of them went. We got a fireplace going on up here with the crackling sound and we did a few decorations over here. So anyway, I know the kids are gonna be really excited once everybody gets here to unwrap some presents. Again, to me we didn't go crazy, but maybe to you guys we did. This took about two hours to do everything. So we have a couple place settings because we're having like a Christmas dinner tonight. So we have like the kids they'll be eating here and then then right here we'll have four of the adults sitting here and then we have four over there as well. I do have my wreath that will be hanging above the stove, but we have turkeys in the oven and so when the heat comes up it always melts the command strip. So I have to wait till the oven's off to rehang that there. As far as dinner goes, we have three turkey breasts cooking in the oven. Oh my gosh, if you could smell this, it's amazing. And then we have mashed potatoes going. We're gonna have some corn gravy. My mom is making rolls and we also have pumpkin rolls. But this was really fun to make for dessert kind of. Just like a fun little display and I forget how to pronounce these. I'm literally gonna show you guys. I was like how how do you pronounce what these boards are called? I always butcher what they're called. So charcuterie. Charcuterie. A charcuterie and I'm probably still saying it wrong, but a charcuterie board. A Christmas version. So I still have these from my birthday and I put them away and I thought maybe we'll use them next year and I'm really glad that I held on to them. So we have a couple cute plates and napkins because I don't know if I could find those right now. And then last night I made a ton of Christmas cookies. The kids were like why are you making Christmas shaped cookies? And I told them I couldn't find any other cookie cutter. So they truly had no idea what was going on today. Oh my goodness. We got to wait for everybody. Okay look. Can I tell you who everyone's is? So this is Simon's. That one's Cohen's. That one's Remy's. Oh Remy has a present here. Oh my goodness. That one's for Brayden and Zeke. Where's yours? Where's yours? I think yours is right here. That's your present. Six. There's six presents? Yeah. Wow. Are you excited? When our cousins get here we can open all the presents okay? Okay. We got to wait for everybody to get here. What is that? Cohen. Cohen can you believe that? What's going on? Simon come here. What is going on? This was the surprise. We're doing Christmas today. All the kids get to open one when they get here. So you have one. Brayden has one. Come read the names. Can you come read the names? So oh yeah they are. So we have Zeke, Brayden and Remy. Look how fun. Remy but you'll see what's inside. Does it make more sense now why mom made Christmas cookies yesterday? It totally does huh? Guess what we're gonna do all day? Watch Christmas movies. and the storm is on its way but as long as you're around everything will be okay because all i want to do is spend this holiday with you tomorrow it is christmas the first for me and you i've longed for this moment to have you for myself in a cabin out of nowhere i have decorated everything to be perfect for this week tomorrow it is christmas another year went by but the difference this time is that ever since july is that awesome so let azra sit or do you want to sit right there in the middle awesome yeah and the tree yeah um yay go show them can you smell thanksgiving or whatever whatever today is they want to show you hello remy come here go show her where her present is go show her oh my gosh that one's yours we're making our christmas memories i've been working so much lately i can barely find the time to sleep yeah i spend my time running around keeping people pleased but this is my favorite holiday it's a chance to start over new because i'm no no do you know what it is can we show this fun video i said sure okay look at how fun it is i don't know why it's lined up like that sorry um oh my gosh i'm totally excited i'm totally right wait they're having a boy how did you find out she had her detail like no way and she's like this is a boy oh my god mom you're the only girl oh cool oh my gosh that's remy's what is that wait what is that okay youngest goes first boys wait wait for remy how cute is that he always wants to play throws at grandma's do you know what that is those are virtual reality goggles wow merry christmas yes they're the big ones that go on your head what color did you guys get it's just gonna be you and me hang by the fire and chill isn't this how it's supposed to be making our christmas memories oh and i've been long to hold you close forget about everyone else isn't this how it's supposed to be making our christmas memories making our christmas memories i've been hanging marbles in the tree and i lit my house with christmas lights so you should come back home to me and when we wake up in the morning i'm gonna play those carols that you love melodies until the sun comes up these are the good times with you baby this we're ending the night watching some christmas movies do you guys have so much fun today yeah this is such a fun christmas day august day actually yeah today's august here is the aftermath from tonight we have so many cookies we have like two more plates full completely full so that'll be a problem honestly i will probably leave it up for a couple days i'm not in the mood to put stuff down tonight or tomorrow so i'll be getting to that in the next couple days but this was such a hit i definitely want to do this every single year i think this would be a really fun tradition to do every single summer and july tends to be a really busy month for us already we always host like the fourth of july here but we also have three birthdays back to back to back the 10th 11th and 12th in my family so july is always busy we probably will stick to doing this christmas in august from now on anyway thank you guys so much for watching and we will see you guys in the next video bye
