Best Of Play Doh - How To Make Play Doh (S1EP1)

Welcome to Hoopla Kids Recipes. Today we are going to be making playdough. So let's have a look at the ingredients. One cup of salt, two cups of flour, food colouring, one tablespoon of cream of tartar and two tablespoons of vegetable oil. First of all, you're going to pour all of your ingredients into a saucepan. You're also going to add two cups of water. Then you're going to stir on low heat. This takes a long time. Just keep on stirring and stirring and stirring. And eventually you'll get a big mound of playdough. So what you want to do is knead the playdough so that it becomes smoother. The playdough can be really hot when it comes out of the saucepan, so make sure that you let it cool down slightly. Then you want to break up the playdough into how many different colours you want. I'm going to use six different colours, so I'm breaking the playdough up into six different balls. Now once that's done, you're going to take one of the balls, you're going to press a hole in the middle and you're going to put a couple of drops of food colouring in there. Then you just have to keep on kneading and working the colour through. If it's not dark enough, keep adding more colour until it's as dark as you want it to be. Make sure you wear kitchen gloves, otherwise your hands will be coloured too. Repeat this step for each of your colours. You can make a rainbow! So thanks for watching Hoopla Kids Recipes.
