Hey folks and welcome to the channel and another Truck King news update. Today we're talking about
Toyota's electrified future. The brand just showed off a wide array of vehicles letting us know
exactly where they are headed and because we are Truck King, two of them have us excited.
One is an all-electric pickup truck, the next one is an all-electric off-roader that looks like it's
Toyota says that its plan is to roll out 30 new electrified models by the year 2030 so they have
a lot of new EVs coming down the pipeline. Now as part of this kind of concept day they also rolled
out a concept sports car and a concept Lexus SUV and a whole bunch of other things but we're going
to focus on the FJ Cruiser and this pickup truck. Now looking at this truck it basically appears to
be an all-electric Tacoma. There's a couple things different like that plastic applique right across
the grill because you don't need a traditional grill for an EV but you know what what I like is
that it's a familiar style you know it's a Toyota pickup right away and there's just a couple little
things on there to let you know it's something different. Now the truck we see right here it
looks like it's wearing a set of BFGoodrich KO2s some big old off-road tires. I would guess this
is more of like a TRD Pro truck not sort of a base Tacoma that we are looking at. So when can we
expect this electric Tacoma? Well sadly that's one piece of information we still don't have.
The Tundra just rolled out so I would say it definitely wouldn't be this model year likely
next if it's going to come soon but it all still remains to be seen so stay tuned to the channel
and as soon as we know we will let you know. Now before we jump on to that cool little FJ Cruiser
concept two others I want to show you real quick. The Midbox and the Microbox small electric delivery
vans. This is a really smart use of EV technology and I'm excited for the electric delivery van
future. This is probably the model I'm most excited for. Toyota calls it the Compact Cruiser EV
and even just based on the name it does look to be a little smaller than the old FJ so I wonder
if it won't be more Bronco sport size rather than Bronco size. Either way it's super exciting to
have an all-electric Toyota off-road model. We know that Toyota loves off-roading they understand
off-roading so you know they're going to do a good job. And right now the only other kind of dedicated
off-road all-electric model is the Hummer EV and that thing is really expensive so I kind of hope
that if Toyota does tackle this model and bring it out to the market it would be something a little
bit more affordable and something most people could get into. Either way though I think it looks
super cool it's got that retro FJ look and I hope it comes out sometime soon. Well folks that is
really it for this one we do not have a ton of information on these vehicles but hey it's still
cool to get a first look at just sort of what Toyota is thinking when it comes to styling and
when it comes to what types of models it needs to bring out in the future. Now I already mentioned
this as for timing I would expect the all-electric Tacoma to be here soon I would guess in the next
year two years maybe three tops. As for that small FJ Cruiser model that's probably further in the
future but they already said it it's gonna happen sometime between now and 2030 so you got a few
years to wait but it does seem like that's definitely gonna happen and I'm excited for the
all-electric off-road future. So that's it for this one now please go below let me know what you
