So this is the finished part that I'm firing just to show you the finished pieces.
I have an announcement that I will participate at this show again.
My booth number will be 108.
So hope to see you there this year July 14th and 15th.
So after being dry for a day, I'm ready to cut this cover box open.
Right there, right by the little indent that I used the popsicle stick to push it in.
Make sure it is secure.
Then you want to use a really sharp knife to cut it.
The day I show you that, after I draw that, I use a needle to poke a hole here.
So I'm just going to cut right through here.
You need to hold the knife very steady.
Okay, I cut it open.
So this is how it looks inside.
And then I will trim a little bit here.
And then I will put the lid on the top and trim.
So after I trim this, this will be my fitting body.
So I trim this part and then when I'm trimming, I try to use the body to see if I can fit it.
So the knife I was using to cut it is my number 10.
So it's a very thin blade.
It's less resistant so it will cut it easier with my number 10.
That is going to be.
And then you need to find a nice 90 degrees like my number 2 trimming tool.
That has a nice 90 degrees so you will be able to trim a nice groove here for the gallery.
So with my number 2 trimming tool, you can go to the very detailed trimming or cutting the gallery here.
As you see that when I'm trimming, I try to get the most handle of my trimming tool.
As you see, I try to stabilize it.
You know, brace each other together, my finger and the tool all together.
So I have a better cutting result.
So the base of my box has been trimmed.
So I'm going to use this to measure the lid.
And before I trim, you see that the joint line is a little bit rough there.
I need to take care of it before I trim it.
You could brush some slip and add a coil there to reinforce that attachment, the seam line.
So what I'm doing is adding a thin piece of a coil to the joint.
I use a sponge to smooth the corner.
And you want to do it really compressed so that the clay is fitting into the joint line.
Okay, so after taking care of that joint, I'm going to put it on the chuck because there's a little dome here.
So it's not going to hold it very good.
So I need to trim it.
And then I'm going to put it on the chuck.
And there's a tip for you. Try to find the level first.
So for finding the level, I find out this little tool is very useful.
You just place it right in the center and just line up the bubble in the center of the dot.
And you will be able to find the level.
And for holding it right in the center, since this is small, you can put it on a piece of a CD disc.
Okay, this is a CD disc.
And put it there.
Do a little adjustment.
Okay, so first I find my level.
And then I will tap center my bottom piece.
Even the chuck is not centered, but my lid is centered, so it's okay.
My chuck is a little bit smaller.
Actually, if you have a wider chuck, it would be easier to fit it.
I will bring my body to see how much clay I could remove.
Okay.
Okay, so it's feeling good for the very detailed trimming.
So this is after trimming.
And I'm showing you what the inside looks like.
It's a nice, very tight fit.
And then I will put it back on the wheel and try to trim a little bit of this part so it will be more straight.
And then I'm going to put a little bit of chattering texture on the side.
Okay, so this is the texture box that I show you how I attach the lid and then how I finish it up.
Body and the top.
And a little bit of texture on the side of it.
And the rotor texture on the lid.
Okay, thanks for watching.
