Quarterback, Jameis Winston, who has also been limited all week in practice due to a back injury.
This is the first game for Winston back on this field since tearing his ACL last Halloween against this team.
Talking to him this week, guys, he said he will not be in his mind as he takes the field.
Talk about emotional.
Thanks, Tom.
Winston going to throw it first time out.
Comes to the near side with a fullback, Prentice, who makes the kill.
That's exactly what we've seen.
Here's Mark Ingram getting the carry.
Running hard and still on his feet.
And then decked.
Ingram, right side again.
This time now, he's going to run it.
Case of Hill inside.
They go I-formation, but they'll throw.
Just get it out quick to Ingram.
Gets a block and then finds tough sledding.
Mike Edwards came up from the secondary.
A little more space to have your running backs operate.
They're down. Blitz coming.
Winston fires low.
Off to Fournette.
And he bumps into one tackle.
And then the second ever doesn't do much better.
On the fake.
Pressure coming.
Over the middle.
Knocked away.
Fournette, the intended receiver.
Third and nine.
They do a deep zone here, though.
Coming near side.
It's caught by Scottie Miller.
Back to the run.
Fournette runs into a wall.
Not much better of the left.
Maybe a yard if he's lucky.
Against this.
Stands in.
Delivers a strike to Mike Evans.
But this one in particular.
Look at these stats brought to you by NextGen.
I mean, 112 routes and four catches.
I mean, that's amazing.
Third and one.
Davis may have jumped on it.
He did.
Saints recover.
Well, Brady barely turns it over against anyone, it seems,
except the Saints.
As a matter of fact, his last three loss fumbles are all
against New Orleans.
He can either blitz or drop.
Winston still under pressure, and he is sacked.
It was his linebacker.
I mentioned they love using these linebackers.
You see Levante David comes unblocked.
I think, are they going to get Neal there for jumping on
Jameis Winston late?
Unnecessary roughness.
Two third down penalties.
Ingram again.
Short gain out to the 40 as Devin White was there.
You know, White had a big gain.
Man-to-man coverage.
Running so hard today.
It'll bring up third down.
You know, Bruce Arian.
Third and three with Taysom Hill on the fake,
and he is in trouble and down.
The Bucs were ready for it.
They made the stop, and now maybe we'll see the punt team.
Really well defended.
That's a lot of those zone reads.
Lost a wide opening.
Mike Evans up, but look at the job here.
Tristan Works, one of the top tackles in the league.
That's Cameron Jordan now, KB.
That's one of the premier pass rushers,
defensive lineman in the entire league.
The protection.
There's the shoulder.
First down.
And you can see Fournette, he got right behind the rookie,
number 41, Co Keefe.
They are really high on this young kid.
Much there.
Gets it out to Fournette.
He has got a seam to the first down, and it's going to be close.
Going to be short.
91 here, Street.
Nobody blocks him.
Clearly there was two different calls there.
Some confusion.
Brady's furious.
What a stand there by this New Orleans.
To get to the edge, not much there.
They do come with a blitz.
Winston has it blocked.
Airing it out.
Going deep.
And it's overthrown.
Last week they had a lot of struggles with blitz pickup.
First down.
They're going to fake.
And Brady in trouble.
Now gets rid of it.
Having a chance to land a lot of these head coaching jobs.
Fournette with a stutter.
And, you know, it's interesting.
Dennis Allen has been here a long time under Sean Payton.
Got to get to the 40.
Quick hitter inside.
Gaze.
That's not going to do it.
Tripped up immediately by Bradley Roby.
Saints lead here.
And they've won the last seven regular season games against Tampa Bay.
Last time New Orleans lost to the Bucs in the regular season was September of 2018.
Now in the playoffs.
More on that in a minute.
Second and ten.
Coming near side.
In some trouble.
Incomplete.
Davis all over Michael Thomas.
That's Michael Thomas.
He's going to be in his face all day.
Michael Thomas' game.
Third and ten.
Four-man rush.
Winston loads up over the middle.
Gets it complete.
There is Thomas who's got it.
Jones.
And it seems his time here has done wonders.
Blitz coming.
Winston sees it.
Gets rid of it.
Thomas again.
Penalty flies from the secondary.
Davis was there.
Pass interference.
Offense, number 13.
It's a 10-yard penalty.
Replay.
Second down.
Yeah, this matchup is just heating up, right?
We saw that one play where he was off and he gave up the completion.
Michael Thomas just putting his.
They have been chippy before.
They had a Twitter beef going on for a while.
I mean, this is.
They're not going out for coffee after this one.
I can tell you that.
I think it was the Bucs first.
Let's see.
Neutral zone infraction.
Defense, number 45.
It's third down.
It also goes back to this.
In that divisional playoff win for Tampa Bay, got the victory.
He shut him down.
I mean, big time.
Throughout the rest of this day.
Third down.
Blitz coming up the middle.
Winston gets rid of the car for a first down.
It's a lave.
They have.
Take a look here.
Jones coming in.
Great job picking up that pressure.
Line.
On third down.
They stunt.
Winston.
Escapes pressure.
Looking.
Now is he going to run?
Fumble.
And it's recovered by.
Get that first down.
Jack Barrett with the sack.
And now we get movement.
Ball start.
Offense, number 53.
Five-yard penalty.
It's fourth down.
So they won't run away.
Also, and Gordon receives it inside the 15.
You talk to him.
He's got the cadence down a little bit.
He's got the command.
Here is Fournette.
And there just hasn't been any room for him today.
39.
Can't find anyone.
There's just nowhere to go with the ball, KB.
He's coming out.
You see him here looking down the middle, looking for his first option.
He's covered.
Look where everybody is.
Everybody is plastered.
There's nowhere to go with the ball.
The protection holds up well.
Blitz coming.
Winston just floats one near side to Landry for a shot.
That is going to be short of a first down.
Alave made the catch.
And now a penalty flag, too.
First of a foul.
Yeah.
Unnecessary roughness.
Defense, number 54.
His first down.
Let's go to Mike Pereira.
Third and four.
Pressure comes.
Winston steps away.
Waving people to go deep.
Now he's in trouble and he's got nowhere to go.
Antoine Winfield.
Now he's been shut out in the first half a few times, four times to be exact.
Three of them against the Saints.
That's amazing.
So Brandon Walton.
He was NFL game on the left side.
They tried to run it, not much.
Now let's go downstairs to Tom.
We're talking to Dennis.
Near side cage.
Makes the man miss, but then not the next three.
Tight ends in.
Backs.
A little flip coming to the near side.
Scottie Miller trying to use his speed.
Gets to the edge.
Miller, nice job.
He makes something out of nothing.
Ole.
Offense, number one.
It's a 10-yard penalty.
Replay, second down.
Aylan Darden out here.
He's the widest receiver on your right.
Gets tied up there.
Yeah.
Near side.
Almost a one-handed spectacular play by Miller.
But he couldn't come up with it, and now it's going to be third forever.
Yeah.
Scottie.
Brady's.
Just nothing's easy right now.
Blitz coming.
Brady underneath has completion, but it's going to be short of a first down
and another penalty.
See Justin Evans.
He's walked out here in the slot.
He's a real late blitzer, but because Brady has nowhere to go with the ball,
he's still patting it.
Holding.
Defense, number 21.
It's a five-yard first down from a previous spot.
Remember, the Bucs don't have Julio Jones.
They don't have Chris Godwin today.
It's worth remembering.
Both hurt.
Big drop.
Off to one.
Evans.
Too high.
Again, matched up with Lattimore, and it's incomplete.
The entire time from the moment the ball was snapped, there's contact.
He's up in his face, but just watch the entire route.
When an offensive player running a route has to just constantly hand fight.
Ball 50-50, ball guys in the entire NFL and Mike Evans.
Lattimore's been in his hit pocket the entire.
Nets.
Pushing the pile forward.
Just to get three.
I mean, he's had a tough time today.
Third and eight.
Brady's been unable to get going.
Just 115 yards passing.
He is frustrated.
Saints, 3-0, and Brady.
Yeah, you get.
Oh, the frustration level for Tom Brady is high.
Third and ten.
They back off the blitz.
Winston far side.
Incomplete.
Olave again.
We spoke with Byron Lefkowitz this week, and he said about Tom Brady,
I call him man of the people.
You'd never know he's Tom Brady until it's time to play football.
End of quote.
Until it's time to play football.
That's a little different, Tom Brady.
Competitive Tom Brady.
Trying to fire up his guys.
I think the message was pretty clear.
We got the idea.
We can read lips.
The offense has been tough to come by.
Top of the screen now, that matchup.
Brady looking the other way over the middle and has a completion.
Davis tries to wrestle away, but it's Perriman.
And the Saints are thinking that they have it.
But I believe the ruling was down.
That's Perriman's first target.
It's third down.
Yeah, you've seen him kind of go Mike Evans.
Let's take a look here and see.
Saints got the challenge.
As Mike Pereira said, it was incomplete.
So, it makes it a third and eight.
Far side of the field, complete.
Perriman's out there for a first down.
Oh, he gets swallowed up in the backfield.
Cameron Jordan came right through.
They bring in the blocking tight end and keep 41.
Get his hands up.
Watch Mike Evans here.
Right in that pocket.
He's wide open.
That's where Brady was going with the ball.
Burnett's back in.
Brady quick throw.
Perriman blocks.
Sprinting forward.
He's going to be a little bit shy.
Big-time defensive battle here today.
3-3.
Bucks finally on the board.
And it has been a long time.
How about the first point scored in 104 minutes against the Saints?
The Saints beat them 9-0 last time they played.
It's pretty remarkable when the quarterback's Tom Brady, isn't it?
For the Wildcat, that's Taysom Hill right there.
The right side.
And bullies his way forward to about the 39-yard line.
Flames up.
It's coming.
A little bit short of Jelan Johnson.
Game break.
Oh, a big hole and a first down.
And then some by Ingram.
But not before a big gain of 12 and a first down.
This is Vita Veo.
Watch this block.
Watch him move him off his spot.
Bang, there's the cutback.
Look at the lane here.
They get up to the second level.
Ramchick gets up to Devin White.
He's untouched for the first 8, 9 yards of that run.
What a great job there up front.
Off the tackle is Devin White.
Run through contact on Devin White.
You're going to see Devin White here.
He's a little high.
Kind of gets his pads up a little bit.
Allows Washington to deliver the blow.
Pretty impressive run there by Washington against one of the more physical lines.
Washington stays in, gets it again.
He's having some success.
And he continues to have success with the first down.
Five more.
And he got through Devin White again.
Ingram this time.
He's got another big hole in mark.
Oh, there's a big fight for it.
And the Bucs say they have it.
Now just waiting for the official signal as they uncover the pile.
Ingram fumbled last week as well.
It's a deep safety spot.
Carl Nassib, I think, has it.
I think so.
Wow.
He does.
Bucs football.
First down.
We felt the Saints had really found something that drive.
They were kind of taking it to them.
Look at the peanut punch.
The left-hand peanut punch by Logan.
Ryan, what an unbelievable turn of events.
He's had the run game going.
They have 65 yards on that drive.
Now let's see if Tampa Bay gets some momentum.
But not there.
Four net.
Still going, though.
It's pretty impressive.
Looked like he was going to get nothing.
Ended up getting five.
Minimum flip this field.
Try to stay on the ground with four net.
He barrels forward.
What a battle.
No team has over 190 yards in this game.
And it's 3-3 as we start the fourth.
Look at this.
Last seven quarters.
Tom Brady and the Bucs against the Saints.
Five field goals, four turnovers.
Still a quarter left, though, to be decided here in a third and one.
Four net was denied earlier in the game in a fourth and one.
That was a third and one.
I think he lost yards.
Look how many guys are up here in the Saints.
They are just selling out.
They are not worried about any sort of play action,
stuff we've seen in the past with Bronc.
This play is blown dead.
There were 12 men on the defense in formation with the snap imminent.
This is a five-yard penalty.
It's a first down.
Oh, my goodness.
Wow.
Quick counting, by the way.
Appreciate that.
There's Brady.
Some pressure.
And down he goes.
Blitz coming.
Brady going deep.
Far sideline.
Incomplete.
Scottie Miller at no separation.
Lattimore all over him.
And even after the penalty, the Saints get a big hold.
We've seen time and time again the best thing Lattimore does here.
Not only does he ride him, but watch what he does.
He pushes him all the way to the boundary.
Now we've got a fight on the field.
Whoa.
Mike Evans just punched a guy, and now the benches have cleared.
Trying to hold guys back off the sideline.
Well, we told you these teams have been super chatty in their matchups the last couple years.
They're still going in there.
Yeah, that wasn't your typical.
I mean, there was punches thrown.
That wasn't your typical post-whistle scuffle.
This was pretty heated.
Let's see how this started.
Brady and Marshawn Lattimore, and then Fournette gets involved.
Yeah, Fournette.
Oh, and then Mike Evans came.
You see, Evans came off, and he just rocked Lattimore.
Wouldn't be surprised to see some guys thrown out of this one here, KB.
Yeah, New York can get involved and make decisions here.
We told you earlier about Lattimore and Evans.
They really don't like each other.
They've had issues in the past, and that is really what got this going.
And then Evans came on to heat it up.
Flags everywhere.
Boy, oh, boy, what a mess.
Wow.
Mike Pereira, there's a lot to sort out here for these officials.
Tell me what you're seeing.
Well, as soon as you see flags hit the ground in this situation, New York can automatically get involved,
not just who was called for the foul, but whoever else participates in the fight,
and then they can eject those players.
Now, you heard Sean Hockley say both teams go to the sidelines,
and so then the officials are going to meet, talk to New York.
May take them a while to get this whole thing settled.
They're all going to offset, by the way.
I don't care how many fouls end up getting called against each team.
Personal fouls on each team.
Number 23 for New Orleans and number 13 for Tampa Bay.
Both number 23 and number 13 have been disqualified from the game.
