Hi everyone. Just finished my second game there against Robert Milkins. Managed to win 3-0 and play some good stuff.
Played decent there so that's quite pleasing. Hopefully I can keep it going and look forward to my last game against Trump.
Back to my room now to chill. No going out because obviously we're all locked in a bubble here.
But yeah, go upstairs, chill now and look forward to playing Judd later.
Hello everyone. Another exciting day in the Championship League. A very tough day for me.
Barry started off very well and put everyone else in the group under a bit of pressure and in the end I had to sort of scrape through.
I drew with Ryan Day and then made an excellent start against Barry. Made two brilliant breaks and ended up nicking the last frame.
So very happy with my day's work. Champion of Champions coming up. Draw is tomorrow afternoon. Excited for that one.
Hopefully I get a good draw as a tournament I haven't won yet and it's nice to be involved in all these big events.
Especially one with all the top players in so I hope I can go one better than I did against Neil Robertson.
We made a great final and wish me luck.
What would be your death row meal? I would probably have to go for a final meal. I would have to go for calamari for starter.
A roast dinner for main course. Can't beat a roast dinner. And dessert would be apple pie and custard.
What's your go-to karaoke song?
I'm sure all of you have followed the snooker over the last few years if I win a tournament and we add the after party.
This is a karaoke that I'm always the first one to get up sober or drunk.
And I'll probably go for Sweet Caroline that sort of gets everyone involved.
What would you do if you weren't a snooker player?
What would I do if I wasn't a snooker player? I get asked this question so many times.
I left school the last year, didn't do no qualifications, no exams.
So if I wasn't a snooker player I've got nothing to fall back on.
So I'd probably still be signing on at the Jobcentre claiming £82 a week.
Hello there, it's the real Slim Shady. Hope you're all liking the Barnet.
Obviously back in the bubble in Milton Keynes at the Martial Arena in the Championship League Phase 2.
Just managed to top my group. Really, really competitive group with Mark King, Scott Donaldson and David Gilbert.
It all came down to the last game and I managed to beat Dave 3-0 to secure top of the group.
So yeah, I think we're on Wednesday now. The finals group is on Friday.
Going to be staying at the MK Arena. Anything to avoid another Covid test.
Not the best at the nose but we're so thankful that we have snookers playing at the moment with these difficult times.
Really looking forward to the finals group.
The real Slim Shady, please stand up.
So, John Higgins here. Hi everyone. I'm through to the final day, Friday.
The final day, tough group. I'm in beside Ken, Joe Perry and Kieran Molson.
At the start of the tournament, you'd be really pleased to be through to the final day to give it a go.
There's eight players tomorrow to fight it out and hopefully I can win the group and get to the final.
It would be a great achievement but really tough group.
Really happy today to get through.
Obviously, I won my first match 3-0 against Jamie Clark and he let me off the hook a little bit.
But then I was totally outplayed against Martin Gould and I was thinking that was my race run.
Because then Martin was in 2-1 in front against Jamie. He was on a good break.
And I was thinking, well, the way Martin's playing, he's going to mop up here.
But he missed. So it was brilliant. So he missed.
And then Jamie came back. Done brilliant to win the frame.
Make it a draw and then it put it all on me and Tom on the final match.
And lucky now, Tom let me off the hook a couple of times as well.
I know I'm going to have to improve tomorrow. I wasn't at my best today.
But I played pretty solid near the end there. So I hope that will keep me in good stead.
And here's hoping I'm speaking to you tomorrow with a little trophy.
But we'll see what happens.
God, we need another seat for this bad boy. It's absolutely humongous.
So, yeah, obviously sat here with the trophy. It's a lovely feeling.
128 players starting off in the Championship League.
And, you know, obviously really, really tough times. All having to isolate in a bubble.
And, yeah, I'm really, really pleased I've managed to adapt to the new sort of surroundings.
The new world of snooker. And obviously come out on top in the end.
It's been a bit of a roller coaster day on finals day for me.
Ken Doherty sort of rolling back the years.
Looking like he was going to pit me right at the end and top the group.
Thankfully for me, Joe Perry did me a favour and pulled one out the bag.
You know, at the death. And obviously I topped the group from there.
And, yeah, playing Judd in the final. World number one.
You know, winning everything in sight at the moment.
So for me, a big challenge, especially with it being a best of five.
Judd's sort of renowned for being a very quick starter.
And when he gets off and running, he's very, very hard to stop.
So I was glad that I managed to do that tonight.
And, yeah, absolutely delighted that I finally get to take a trophy home to my family.
It's been too long for myself. Hopefully many more to come.
Cheers.
