Again, for making a t-ball.
Dropping my cardboard cube. Make sure it's fitting tight.
Use a wooden rib to remove the throwing mark.
Metal rib to remove the slip.
Okay, this time it's a different roller texture.
Pour on my cardboard.
Add some water to the roller, so that the clay will not stick.
Okay, done. Pour out my cardboard cube.
Remove the first layer of newspaper.
Add a second layer of newspaper.
Get a wet sponge to go inside and make the inside a little bit slippery.
Stretch a little bit more on the bottom and make the rim go out a little bit.
Ready to cut it off.
So that's the style after stretching.
Okay, thanks for watching.
Okay, after overnight dry, I'm ready to trim my t-ball.
Just use water to stick my t-ball on the wheel head.
This is my most favorable trimming tool. This is number two.
I use a lot of corner pressure here when I'm moving my tool up.
I can go all the way to the corner of the foot.
I can even undercut it.
Since I was cutting up the hump, usually the foot is not quite flat.
So the very first thing when I'm trimming, I always cut it flat.
I start from the center here and holding my tool like this way and go to the side to cut the base flat.
Then using the corner of my tool, I'm making a mark here.
This is going to be the foot rim.
The clay in the middle, I don't need it.
You have to hold the tool very tight.
Otherwise, the clay might drag the tool away.
So you have to hold it tight.
To hold it tight, I usually put my left hand here, holding on the side of the pot.
Then extending my thumb so the tool is resting on my left thumb.
For taking care of the corner, I usually hold my tool this way.
So the corner here will be able to take care of the bottom corner.
I use the back of my tool to burnish the foot.
Then put my stamp on the foot.
Spin the wheel and just twist it.
I use a sponge to clean up the wheel.
This is the roller texture that I did a demo yesterday.
Today I finished trimming the foot.
