I've finished visiting Tallinn and now we're going to make a little change.
What I've done now is come to the airport because I've rented a car with the Abyss company.
And they've given me this car, which is awesome, which is a Skoda Octavia.
But, well, it's a great car.
Very good, the truth is that very good.
And, well, I'm only going to have it for a couple of days to go to a couple of national parks that are here in Estonia.
Estonia is a very small country, from end to end it takes an hour and a half by car.
Well, there is some area that takes a little longer because you have to take a ferry and such.
But, well, in short, it is a very small country, it is very easy to travel.
And, well, there are only two or three points that I want to visit and that's where we're going now.
What I'm going to do is first go through the supermarket, I think there's a supermarket nearby.
Get supplies and, well, to the road trip.
I have now come to the La Gerna National Park, which is the best known national park.
It is the main national park here in Estonia.
It was not in my plans, but since in the end I rented the car a few hours earlier,
I have taken advantage of it and since it is only an hour away from Tallinn,
well, since I have the time, I visit it.
And for now, yes, these are super beautiful landscapes, very easy to drive.
So, nothing, perfect. Hey, look, at least I take advantage of the day.
I have now come to a route called Biruboj or something like that,
which must be through areas that are flooded and there must be a wooden path to walk over the water.
And nothing, but this is super beautiful, it is full of giant trees
and I already wanted to do some route like this in the middle of the forest.
Biruboj
Let's see if I can explain it well.
This area that is here behind is called Bog, this one in particular is called Biruboj.
And a Bog, B-O-G, what it means, from what I understand,
is that in this area a kind of ice island was melted in the Baltic Sea.
This was about 8,000 years ago, so when that ice island was melted,
it came to this area and got under the dunes.
You have seen before on the coast that there were dunes,
well, the water got under it, making it a concave shape.
Then it made a little mountain, which is why we are walking now,
we are on one of the edges, and then all that concave shape is below, full of water.
Then you step on water that moves as you go forward.
And that's what the Bog comes to be, and that's the path I'm going to do now.
Biruboj
and it is following these woods, these planks that seem to be put for nothing,
because it goes through the middle of the forest.
But all the land is super fragile, I mean, as soon as you put a foot a little,
the foot is already soaked and everything is denied.
It's amazing, it's like a bag of water,
and the earth that is on top, the layer of the surface is very, very finite.
So it's very curious because even while you walk, you can hear the plank sinking into the water.
I have already arrived at the apartment where I am going to stay tonight.
I am in a small town called Parnu, south of Estonia, almost on the border with Latvia.
And well, I was scared to find the ******* apartment,
because the lady does not speak English at all, I have called her,
and she only knew how to tell me the number of her house,
but of course, it was complicated to find it because it is a normal block of flats,
and it is numbered different from what we are used to, at least to what I am used to.
And this is the apartment, here is a modern sofa,
as well as the carpet, with the bed and such,
that is, well, a spacious room.
Here is the entrance, here full with the figui,
and nothing, here a bathtub that, well, you will have to bathe in it, what a remedy.
And here a little kitchen.
Without further ado, to spend the night, I will be here just and necessary.
So this was a place, like a checkpoint for tomorrow,
to go to a national park that is not far from here.
So nothing, I'm going to say goodbye now, I'm going to rest, and nothing, tomorrow.
Well, a new day begins, and I am already here on the coast of Parnu,
where I have stayed tonight.
The truth is that I slept quite well, despite the fact that the house looks like Goodbye Lenin,
but nothing, now I am on the beach that is right here next door.
The truth is that this area is very cool, so I'm going to take a walk around here,
enjoy a little of the tranquility that there is,
and we are already going a little north, towards the national park that I mentioned yesterday.
Parnu National Park
I am here in the national park of Sogoma.
They are, I have already told you, not far from Parnu, where I have stayed tonight,
half an hour by car.
And nothing, I am not very clear if there was an area here to kayak,
I do not know if I will find it, because I have run out of network,
and the indications are not clear at all, everything is in Estonian.
So what I'm going to do is walk along this route for a while,
to see what I find, and well, to investigate a little what this park has.
This is in a bog, all these areas of Estonia are bogs,
that is, what I told you about the water that accumulates below the ground
and makes it a very swampy terrain.
And you can kayak here, following some rivers that follow,
like making a path to a small swamp,
but nothing is well signaled,
and I'm afraid it's an activity that you have to ask in advance or something like that,
that is, to agree with a company to stay with it
and that they leave you on a kayak and you go with a guide and such.
And I don't know, the truth is that since there is no coverage here,
I can't look at anything else.
So nothing, in the absence of bread,
I'm doing improvised routes here, now on more normal terrain.
Day 5
I'm now in the bus that will take me to Riga.
What a ride, I mean, it was not bad.
The problem is that I got there just in time to return the car,
I don't know how I do it, I had plenty of time,
and I always get there just in time to return the car.
And then I had to come to the bus station to take the bus to Riga.
The problem is that I didn't have a ticket, I had forgotten,
I thought I had taken it, but no.
And in fact I thought I was coming by train, but no.
I come by bus.
So nothing, according to the tram, it was 15 minutes from the airport to the bus station,
so it took me a long time, I bought the ticket online.
And very well, it's 28 euros being lounge,
that is, it's like VIP seats up to Riga, which is four and a half hours.
They are spacious, they are comfortable,
they are very good, they are Basque, you have to say it.
And nothing, with their television and such, there, separated from the poor.
Nothing, in the end, the normal was full,
so I only had to buy a lounge ticket.
But hey, for four and a half hours I would have paid it anyway.
I already tell you that for 7 euros difference I prefer to go with much more space and more comfortable,
that we are no longer 20 years old.
So nothing, I'm going to rest now a little bit, because until now it has been driving,
now it's letting me take it and studying a little, I have things to study.
See you.
