If you follow Blake Lively on Instagram, you may have heard that she’s recently shared a series of photos of her pregnancy – most of which seem to be taken at her home. This will be baby number 4 for she and her husband Ryan Reynolds, and they currently live in a stunning mansion on nearly 12 acres of land in the Pound Ridge neighborhood of New York with their 3 kids – Inez, Betty and James. Blake shared her pregnancy photos with fans as a means to call out the paparazzi that have been lurking outside the couple’s estate hoping to take some photos of their own. Blake and Ryan purchased their abode in 2012 and have done their very best to keep it under wraps, sharing only glimpses of the rustic, 7-bedroom mansion from time to time.
Hey guys, it's Kara and today on Famous Entertainment we are going to be checking out the properties
of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
When Ryan and Blake became the charming celebrity couple they are these days, they quickly bought
this $2.3 million dollar pad located in Bedford, New York just outside of the city in early
2012.
This home sat on nearly 2 acres of waterfront property overlooking the Cross River Reservoir,
was only about an hour by car away from Midtown Manhattan, and anchoring the property was
a Cape Cod Colonial style house spanning 4,753 square feet with 3 beds, 4.5 baths, and an
additional 2 bedroom guest suite.
The 3 story abode was well hidden from the street down a long driveway cutting through
the woods and leading to a small parking path.
Stone steps go up to a broad terrace in front of the front door with views over the lawn
that rolls down to a stacked stone wall near the water edge.
Inside there was a double height entryway paneled living room with stone fireplace and
a formal dining room that opens up to the country style kitchen.
And there was also a gorgeous window wrapped sun porch.
Upstairs Ryan and Blake would enjoy the master suite with private bath and 2 dressing rooms.
Nearby there were 2 of the other guest bedrooms.
Then the lower level of the home contained an extra bed and bath, an office with rec
room, an office with a 4th fireplace, games room, laundry room, and a large cedar closet
for storage.
And the property also has landscaped gardens and rolling lawns all around.
Surprisingly, they moved off of the home only a year later in 2013.
Couple then sold the home for just under 2.5 million dollars, a hair over what they paid
for the place, and in the meantime they were secretly purchasing their current home.
So despite past reports of Ryan and Blake still living in the home we just looked at
on Cross River Reservoir, they actually live 4 miles from there, in a home they very sneakily
purchased at the end of 2012.
Very little is known about the interior of their family home which is clearly intentional.
Over the years however, Blake and Ryan have given fans glimpses of the interior and exterior
of their home which helps to give us a much better idea.
What we do know is that the mansion cost Blake and Ryan 5.7 million dollars and is an old
school colonial style spread built back in 1860 with a lot of charm and rustic details.
Inside, it spans 8,892 square feet with 7 beds and 6 baths, and also offers a guest
house and a barn.
It sits on 11.65 acres of land and other famous neighbors nearby the couple, Martha Stewart,
Glenn Close, and Ralph Lauren.
Very little is known about the home, but a source told Variety that they witnessed a
ton of construction going down after the duo bought the property.
The driveway of the home leads straight to the main house entrance.
We can see their home is decorated with many antiques.
Even the entrance boasts a traditional green British telephone booth next to the home.
The interior seems to complement the colonial style structure with wood paneled walls, arched
windows, and grey panels.
A couple of years back, we caught a peek inside Ryan and Blake's current New York home thanks
to Instagram.
Blake shared a snap of Ryan holding a cake in honor of her birthday in what seemed to
be their dining room.
It boasts wooden floors, exposed brick walls, black framed windows, and matching French
doors.
You also have a wooden dining table with matching wooden chairs.
Another first look that we got inside their living room was when Ryan shot commercials
for his brand Aviation Gin from home.
We could see that the space had wood paneled walls, a collage of sunset photos, and more.
Blake is known to be a baker in her spare time, and she's shown some of her treats
It appears the kitchen is well equipped with the best appliances, wood flooring, gold finished
cupboards, and even exposed brick walls and black window frames for a stylish look.
In some interviews, Blake even shared that her kitchen has an attached open dining room
where the family enjoys their meals.
It has a similar aesthetic with wooden floors, brick walls, and a wooden dining table for
a quiet dinner or to host guests.
Blake has even previously unveiled a look inside of her dressing room.
It features endless open shelves for her shoes and purses, and a large island in the middle
with drawers for more storage space.
More recently in 2022, Blake showed another area of the home while she was taking photos
before a pre-Met Gala dinner in NYC, and the room boasted a leather couch and dramatic
crystal chandelier.
This space had exposed brick walls, while some wood beams, and a French window with
an arched wall.
The actress shared a handful of candid photos from her current pregnancy on social media
and called out the photographers who've been hounding her, writing,
Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for
a sighting will leave me alone.
You freak me and my kids out.
These pics included one of Blake posing in their stunning wood-paneled kitchen with all
the modern appliances you could dream of, and another featuring her and Ryan posing
in the staircase behind a stained glass window.
One of the other photos had Blake posing outside the house sitting at a table, and one in a
red swimsuit out in the yard.
Let's hope that Blake's posts work to chase away the paparazzi.
