Natural clay cabin 2 nights winter camping

It's just not gone back down in a long time has it? I couldn't imagine what the village is going to be like. I can imagine it's pretty much like this here. So after popular demand, we have come on and I've just finished work like an hour ago. So we've been here for about an hour. Tim's testing his little new stove. We've got coffee. So yeah, I just finished work like an hour ago. We've been here for an hour and I've done a couple of fixes. The tarp had blown back off part of the roof. And this wall had got wet next to a poor haze here. Poor soul, he loves it though, look at him. He's just splashing around in the water. Doesn't mind a bit of wetness. So yeah, we've fixed all that. Got the old staple gun out. Put it on good. The fire pit is still standing. Oh yeah, come on Tim, lead the way. So we'll show you, we have sustained some damage in the two named storms. The decking, a wall's blown out, but it's blown out right through here. So our stone shelter and the fire pit that is almost three years old. We built it about three years ago. And this shelter, the entire back of the shelter has been blown out. The chimney, it's all just completely, the storms we had has just ripped off the back of the shelter completely. And then cows have trampled it into the ground. Yeah, so we're going to make that safe before we go to. This is all wibbly wobbly. Yeah, this is all like really unstable. Yeah, it's a shame, but it is what it is. So this shelter's pretty much ruined. This side wall has moved outwards. And I'll show you here. This was the original clear to the roof. And yeah, it's moved right back. But yeah, we'll take it down and restore it to what it was and reuse everything in something else probably. I'll tell you one thing. Well, this here would be good opened up as the yard with a nice wood facing in the window, enough to the willow just to shelter the yard. That'd look cool. But yeah, it is what it is. It's a shame. It's an old shelter, but we'll reuse everything. Even that fire. Yeah, that turf will get used. We'll put that on here along with this. Yeah, on the back corner. Keep some weight on it. The washing machine window is still grand. Chasing people's face when I'm pulling the washing machine door off. So yeah, we sustained a little bit of damage to the back end of the main cabin too, which I've managed to just do a quick fix on it. It'll do until we come and do a stay here. But yeah, until then, Hayes can keep it safe. Well, people, we're finally out at the village. I have little Tyson with me. Tim's, that's Tim's rear light you can see in the distance. He's just going to go and park up his bike. We're going to get into the cabin. Now the trample, the cows have completely trampled all paths. So it's pretty much a swamp in here now. So yeah, we're here last night. You can see at the start of the video, we just came to check on things and do a couple of fixes and make it suitable for tonight. And yeah, so that cabin had a lot of damage to it, the older one. So we're going to take that down and see what we can make with it. See if we can recycle all the stuff and have a good time doing so. Set up. Set up my bed first just for Tyson to chill out in. It's, yeah, grand. I've already put a back tarp on, so that's all sorted. Still got a lot of work to do. Nice. So we've been doing some filling on here. Tim has, and also a lot of work out in the yard. It's like four in the morning. We're going to get some shut eye. It's been pouring down since we pretty much got here. We're all dried in now, putting the tarp over the top of the whole thing. Did that as soon as we got here. So people, it's morning. Got Tim's little stove on for coffee. So in daylight, this is the swamp. And we're just in the middle of it here. Nice bench over there now. Bit of raised floor in front of it. Working on raised floor in there, the window. Cabin wall to go around from this one. Started hail and a little bit of snow. Just look at all that, eh? Like grey and snowy. It's definitely coming down the snow. Now, we've got benches everywhere. That's got a back to it again. And a little fire pit. It's raised. Turned the grill off for the last ten minutes. Just to scrape some of the rubbish off of it. Got it good. Got some burgers here. So I've got the burgers down that side. With the cheese melting on them. Smoked applewood. The bacon. We're going to have these in rolls. Here are my cheeseburgers. Oh, what a dessert. Profiteroles. There's a lot more cleaning up around camp. As you can see, all the cracks are filled. These ones have been filled. They just last a little bit of drying on them. Then it's all grand. Tied some straw down on the floor. Just lying in front of the fire. Enjoying the heat. I'm watching him for sparks. Got lots of nice firewood for later on. Temperature's dropping too. And a lot colder. Right warming here, isn't it? So, look at that sky. It's perfect blue. So Tim's just... I've just cut these. One single bit left over from the old cabin. It's a bit wet, so we couldn't really use it for anything. So, yeah, we're going to dry it and use it for firewood. We're having our favourite pasta. Spinach and ricotta tortellini. And we've got some sea bass. I'm going to cook on the grill. There we have my sea bass and my spinach and tortellini. Spinach and ricotta tortellini. As you can see from all the sawdust. We've been really busy. We've just built a double shelving unit. On the wall of the camp. Been splicing wood also. Making the benches better. It's been an awesome time. Sawdust everywhere. Well, I'm just chilling by the fire. Stretching my toes. And there's just snow, people. There's still a bit of snow around. Not a lot like it was this morning, though. Just sorting out his boots. Put his socks on. Packing up the last of our stuff. We've started to shut up everything. Get it all packed away and that. Tyson's just doing his last little few mooches around. I'll make it there. All the snow's gone now, like. Big thanks for watching. It was nice checking out the village.
