Hi everyone, it's Michelle Barada, welcome to Bella Ranch TV and today I have a really
cute DIY.
I'm going to show you guys how to make this adorable bow necklace.
Super easy, super cheap to make, although it doesn't look cheap.
So let's get started.
What you'll need for this project is Mod Podge, Stiffy, a paintbrush, a clasp and jump rings,
pliers, 6 inches of ribbon, fine gold chain, and a gold spray paint.
First you're going to take your ribbon and you're going to tie it into a simple bow.
Then trim off the ends to your desired length.
Look how cute that is.
Now take your Mod Podge Stiffy, this stuff is really cool, it's a fabric stiffener, and
just put a little bit, like a teaspoon, on a piece of paper, or wax paper is good.
And then you're going to totally saturate it.
Take your paintbrush and you're going to paint it on the ribbon.
And you want to get inside the loops and on the bottom and everything.
And then you're going to put it outside to dry, it took me about an hour in the sun for
it to dry.
Then put it in a box and spray paint it gold.
Now take a push pin and on the top part of the openings of the bows, you're going to
push it through and make a hole.
And you're going to do that on both sides, and this is where your jump rings are going
to connect, so you can have the chain connect to the jump rings.
Now take your jump rings and you're going to open it up and you're going to hook it
right through the loop, right where the hole is.
Then take your chain and just hook it right there.
And your chain is whatever length you want.
Now I did about a 32 inch chain so that I didn't have to use a clasp, but you can make
it shorter and then add a clasp if needed.
Now add the jump ring to the other side.
Open up your jump ring, always side to side, because you'll never get it back together
if you open it up like a claw, and then put it through the hole.
And sometimes you're going to have a challenge getting it through the hole because your hole
may not be big enough, but just take your push pin again, push it through, and just
kind of work it through there and make the hole larger, and it'll make it much easier
to add the jump ring.
Then add your chain, the other end of the chain, onto the jump ring, close the jump
ring, and your necklace is done!
Look how cute that is!
I hope you guys really enjoyed this DIY of the bow necklace, and be sure to comment and
tell me what you thought, and if you did the project and how yours turned out.
Also, I'm going to have a link at the end for another bow necklace that I did that's
very cool, that I think you guys will like, totally different kind of bow.
But anyways, thanks for watching, and until next time, bye!
