Today we attempt to go up two full courses on the chicken coop, but are foiled by a faulty tamper. After compacting over 80 tons of dirt, we'll give 'em a pass, I guess :) Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled - it's where's it at Wednesday!

In the sunrise, sunrise, sunrise.
Folding lips, last lines to fade.
We'll sail, we will stand.
As oceans pass.
Another earthbag chicken garden video guys.
Day 38.
Today we are moving our attention back to the chicken coop.
We've crossed over the side of the coop wall with our circle bags.
So it's time to come up to that point.
And then go over it again.
But first, there's a few things going on.
Oh yes.
The nesting box needs to be cleated in again.
So we've gotten up high enough where we need to add another series of cleats.
And the reason we're doing that is because we're not going to screw it down into the bag.
Our bags will be what is holding that in place.
Right.
And you've got something fun around the door.
I do.
I've added cinder blocks around the front of the door on each side.
We're going to bring our bags up to those cinder blocks and stop our bags.
We will get into why we're doing that here later in another video.
But for now, just know we're stopping at the cinder block.
For something fun.
Yeah.
Alright.
So, I've got to go make dirt.
You've got to lay some bags.
Yep.
Let's go.
Let's do it.
Move your hand.
This is a tutorial.
Do it.
Jump it.
Goodbye.
Try again.
Oh, gosh.
Just barely.
Still pop.
Can you do it?
See that?
Did you see that?
Doggy powers.
Are you okay?
What do you got?
Oh, you had a spiky one.
Oh, no.
In between your toes.
Oh, no.
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for Where's It At?
What is it?
I don't know.
You'll have to look and leave a comment when you see it.
Hope you're fine.
What happened, babe?
Well, I was tamping and the handle came off.
It's metal.
I don't understand how.
It's been through a lot, okay?
It has.
It's tamped a lot of bags.
It's needed some retirement, so we just let it go.
So, I guess I need to go buy a tamp tomorrow.
Where's that custom tamp?
That means we can't finish our job.
Where's that custom tamp?
Where is it?
Maybe Ace has one.
What time is it, though?
They're probably closed.
Five.
Why do you need to go to the grocery anyway?
Can we run by Ace?
I don't know.
That would probably be closed.
Yeah, Ace.
I was talking about it.
It's heavy.
I'm just kidding.
It's not really.
So, are we done?
This is not finished at all.
It's got to go down a bunch.
When your tamp breaks, you're kind of happy, too.
We don't have to do any more bags.
We have to do it by hand.
Where's the hammer?
That would help that a lot.
Yeah, where's the mallet?
Look at all those good corners that Adelaide laid.
Good job.
Thanks.
Thanks, Mom.
And now we can deal with this unlevel bag that we have to tamp by hand.
Yay!
Wait, we tamp it by hand all the time?
With not a tamp.
Stop!
Please, quiet on the set.
Guys, day 38 was cut a little bit short because somebody broke our tamp.
Our one tamp.
Maybe we should have another one.
To be fair.
It has done a lot.
It's tamped a lot of things in its life.
Yeah.
Although, I mean, it wasn't even a year old.
Yeah.
And it just, the whole metal handle just snapped right off.
Yeah.
Anyway, guys, tomorrow we'll be driving into town, grabbing a new tamp so that we can continue our work.
Yeah, so we didn't get, we wanted to finish a whole other course on the coop, but we only got half of it done.
Yeah.
And really, even the last part really isn't tamped down enough.
I just can't get it any flatter with the wood.
Yeah.
Like we said before, Hyper Adobe is super flexible and it's not a big deal.
You say that.
It's not.
It'll be tough to fix on the next layer.
Only because it's so, it rises so much.
Okay.
So it's going to be tough.
Okay.
But we can do it.
We can do hard things.
Okay.
Also, tomorrow is going to be another exciting day because we're going to be adding another
element into these walls that we haven't talked about yet.
Oh, yeah.
It's very exciting.
Yeah.
It's very round.
But you'll have to find out when we see you tomorrow.
It's very round.
I said it.
I already ended it.
Bye.
