Well, it's a new day, a very special day because it's also one of those places I've been wanting to come to for years.
There is nothing more and nothing less than the National Park of the Glaciers and especially the Perito Moreno,
It's the most famous glacier here, certainly the most famous glacier in the world.
And there you have it.
It's 80 meters high, 5 kilometers wide.
It's impressive to see in person, on screen it looks so small, in person it's incredible.
If you're lucky, you can see ice falls.
There's a very big one that happens once a year, of an ice arch that forms, like a little bridge,
I'm going to the peninsula.
But throughout the year, whenever you come, every day, there are smaller detachments,
But still impressive by the noise they make.
I think it's a storm, but it's coming from a distance and then you see the sound.
But it's incredible.
And now I'm going to do the Big Ice, which is a three-hour trek on the ice, above the glacier.
So I'll change and we'll go there.
The best way to get here, well, the way to get here is to come to Calafate,
That's where I'm staying tonight.
And since you have here, come in your rented car,
But you can also take tours that take you on day trips.
So much for seeing the walkways, that's where I'm going yo,
There are a lot of walkways that are built in front of the glacier, to see it from different angles.
Then there's also like a boat, a boat ride that passes in front of the glacier,
That must be impressive too.
And then there are excursions like the one I'm going to do, which is the one from the Big Ice,
That son, in total, every day 12 hours on the ice 3.
And there's another one, the mini-trekking, which is only 1 hour,
But, well, depending on the way you talk, it might be convenient.
But the Big Ice in total will be about 6 hours.
And the question is that there's only one company that does it,
Well, there's not much choice.
You'll have to book it in advance if you want to.
It's not cheap, but I think it's something that if you come here once in your life it's worth it.
Well, you've started the excursion.
We're already on the other side, we've crossed.
It doesn't look like much here, but we've crossed.
And the first part now is going to be walking laterally to the glacier.
It's three and a half hours of walking after over the ice and back.
It's super burned the image.
Not all have water.
When they're out of water, we try not to get too close, because they're dangerous.
If you fall in this, fall in slow motion.
Sure, the other one is faster.
When they have no water, that's the difference.
Also on a water diet, if you fall, you moan.
In the other cases, it's dry.
We finish with a whiskey with ice from the glacier.
It's super strong this.
I'm back from the Big Ice, walking on the glacier, on the Perito Moreno.
The truth is it's been an incredible adventure.
Super recommended if you like this theme of walking on glaciers.
Well, if you've never done it, you don't know.
But it deserves muchísimo la pena.
Highly recommended.
And nothing, the truth is you're chasing all day.
It's 7 in the afternoon.
Now that he's arrived here at Calafate.
And I'm going to eat the most typical of the southern meat.
That's not so Milanese.
Well, there's no Milanese like this.
But the most typical is this.
The dog.
No, it is a joke.
It is El Cordero.
The lambero is the most typical here in Calafate.
So I'm going to go to what I was told, the bus guide, the one that took us to Perito Moreno.
The one who told me that it's the best restaurant to eat lamb in all of Calafate.
So we're going there.
I'm back at the hotel.
Why didn't you tell me I burned my face?
Me he burned la cara en el Big Ice.
Oh, I've been on a month's journey that has given me the sun a thousand times and yet I keep burning my face.
In the end, that...
Look, I wanted to go to dinner soon at this place that he said was called Las Tablillas.
I wanted to go promptly.
He went to dinner at 7:00, digo.
Ceno at 7.
By 8:00 p.m. I'm finished with you.
I'll come to the hotel and rest.
He went to the site.
It was full.
I've been given to the media.
I mean, I'll make a reservation just in case, but I'll find myself another place.
But you look like three or four other places, they're all full or you can't find it, whatever.
Then, he was doing time and finally because of that.
He went to the media for a scene.
He met a couple of super-majos from Los Angeles.
He was talking to them, like that.
Well, total, that between one thing and another is 12 y media.
And now I've just arrived at the hotel.
But he ate great.
And as he said, the most typical here is the lamb.
He started first with a vegetable soup.
I was hungry for some vegetables that he barely ate on the trip.
And after the lamb.
It's super rich, very sweet, very good.
If you like the lamb, it's perfect, perfect.
And nothing, and dessert like a bowl of red fruits like that with ice cream and stuff.
He had to create it.
That's great.
And well, it's not the cheapest place.
But good, it's pretty good.
So nothing, I recommend you come here and eat the lamb.
But reserve a reservation in advance just in case.
Especially if it's a weekend.
But good, no me enroll mucho más.
I want to rest.
And nothing, see you tomorrow.
Tomorrow I'm going to Buenos Aires again.
So nothing, I don't know what I'll do in Buenos Aires.
But good, I'll tell you.
Today's been great.
Lo del Big Ice. I know.
I'll always remember that.
So nothing, thank you so much for being there.
And see you next time.
Agur, please.
