Welcome to day 16 of our Craft a Day Countdown to Christmas at AWellPurposedWoman.com.
Today we're going to be making these cute little Christmas trees out of scrap wood and I actually
have two guests today in my craft room. My daughters Annabelle and Emmy will be making
these crafts. But to get started on today's craft I did cut the wood triangles for my daughter so I
started by setting my miter saw to 15 degrees. I made a cut and then I flipped the board over
and then I just cut in the opposite side of the board from the point that I just
made. So I'm just going to cut down this way as you can see here and I'm going to go all the way
to the bottom there and then I'm going to take my little trees and I'm going to sand the sides of
them and that just gets off all the rough edges. And then we're going to go upstairs and my
daughters are going to take over from here. So they're going to start by taking their little
wood triangles and then we're going to take some scrapbook paper and we're just going to trace
around our triangles on the scrapbook paper of our choice and we're going to cut out our little
triangles and that will be the face of our triangle. And now that we have our triangles cut
out we're just going to place it on top of the wood triangle. We're going to use Mod Podge and
we're just going to cover our wooden triangle with the Mod Podge and then we're going to place our
paper on top of it and then we're going to paint over the paper again with the Mod Podge.
And we're just going to repeat that for the other side of our tree and you can use
different or the same type of paper. We're going to use some different paper on our trees today
but you can definitely just use the same if you want. So just do the same thing Mod Podge it
and then attach your paper triangle. Then we're just going to drill a hole a half inch wide in
one of these vintage children's blocks and that's going to be the base of our little Christmas tree.
So we're going to drill a hole in the block and then we're also going to drill a hole in the
bottom of our tree and then we're going to take our little wooden dowel and we're going to insert
that into the block and into our tree and we'll have the little trunk of our Christmas tree.
The last step is optional but kind of adds a cute touch to it so we're going to embellish
the Christmas tree with buttons or ribbons or snowflakes. Whatever you have on hand just to
give them a little extra oomph. We put little snowflakes on the top of our trees with buttons
but you could add anything else you wanted and that's all there is to making these
really cute little Christmas trees. I hope you enjoyed this video. Make sure to hit that red

to see you back tomorrow for day 17 of our countdown to Christmas.
