In and out of the midwest. That's what like out of towners call it I never heard of this place before so apparently they got butter burgers just like in and out and they're known for their Custard trying to find a place to eat. Oh, yeah. This is the best place to eat the culver. I love how useful these lawn chairs are It kind of looks like an in-n-out burger Bun is nicely toasted and buttered thin beef patty cheese Does it get any more midwest than like eating this in the back of a car on lawn chairs in a abandoned taco bell parking lot I like this stuff It's very reminiscent of an in-n-out burger Very juicy sheared beef patties. Very beefy. Very cheesy. You can tell it's good quality beef This is delicious Really good gotta say though I think in and out still better if they had their own sauce. This will be really really good, too It's I think the quality of the patty is very comparable. I don't know what it is Wherever I go if I see spicy chicken sandwich on the menu, I want to get it This is delicious I think I think the chicken filet is one of the best i've had Because it's so fresh. It's so crunchy. I mean listen listen It's so crunchy and they loaded it with spice again if they put some sauce on here makes this even better but it's patty itself amazing Oh this custard is good Hmm That is like eating Yeah, it's like eating pure silk. It's like tasty morgan freeman's voice So smooth this custard is delicious Hmm We're staying at the euro star hotel this time in chicago a lot of things to do I'm gonna be filming a lot of places hanging out with christine's family. That's amazing All right, you're gonna conquer this you're gonna conquer this how many steaks? five You do have to get your money's worth All right, it's a little dark in here but this is um The crab seller here in chicago, illinois, let me show you the vibe here. It's like a lounge vibe We're literally in the basement of this place And this place all you can eat Alaskan king crab prime burger and you can get it out on filet mignon for twenty dollars definitely pricey all you can eat but All you can eat king crab filet mignon and burger i've never seen it before I had to try it This is so cool. So they brought over four types of butter. Which one is yours? Spicy one and mine's with the garlic I love buffets. I love all you can eat and I really love very unique specialty all you can eat places like this That crab dip is so good spicy creamy that thing is chock full of crab butters for your crab I'm, just gonna put a little garlic butter on my toast here There's so much garlic in this butter This is the spicy butter Oh, that's good. No, the spicy one is the best spicy butter is so good Round one crab legs are here Oh my goodness thing with king crab, sometimes it'll hurt you a little bit but i'm telling you worth the pain Sweet delicate crab meat with amazing garlic butter My spicy butter is so good because something sweet something spicy and all that is good and butter all in one bite That's peach i'm gonna do a little different garlic butter and a little of the spicy butter It's way different When you're eating king crab On a buffet than getting it in like intimate setting like this Which is more attention paid to the dipping sauce the crab itself Nothing is overcooked if you're coming here As good as the garlic butter is 100% get the spicy one. I mean seriously I've had this stuff on vegas buffets before ain't nothing Like eating it like this the care they went into Making the butter taste so delicious Oh man never has sweet and spicy tasted so good since hot oil on ice cream I'm just kidding. That's much more acquired taste and the steaks just arrived. So The way they do the steak They're tiny little maybe like three ounces and one of them is I think dill and butter on top the other Melted blue cheese and crispy fried onions That is so tender This does not taste like buffet steak I mean, it tastes like a good steakhouse steak tender filet You can taste a wonderful char and that was just the dill butter one this i'm really looking forward to crusted blue cheese with fried onions on top Winner winner steak buffet dinner melted blue cheese over steak. There's something so amazing about it blue cheese on its own I personally can't eat it on its own Melted over steak becomes something otherworldly good personally. I don't mess with steak that much but this butter sauce is so good Dip it in some butter and garlic You should dip your steak Raw and live fish when you got delicious dipping sauce sitting right in front of you you dip whatever you can in it Second steaming bucket is here. Thank you Oh this burger looks delicious perfectly cooked Look at that juice flowing out of the burger and the burgers are eight ounce patties with cheese Dijon mayo cooked to a medium rare That is good burger, I don't want one of these to myself wow, this is delicious again Dip it into that spicy butter Wow, thank you Thank you. I asked for another burger I know the burger is probably the least economical thing on this menu and I shouldn't be focused on it But I can't help it. I love that burger. We're here with uh, christine's grandparents right now eating this stuff Good You're all good Grandpa you having fun These three here are focusing exclusively on crab legs Yeah, you gotta make up for the burger i'm eating Doesn't it just makes you want to eat more crab? The butter just makes you want to eat more and you're usually one of those who's like Oh, I don't like things diluting the natural flavor of my seafood or whatever And you're just dunking those in the spicy butter right now. It's that good Oh, yeah Hello my precious You can already tell how juicy this burger is just from the outside looking in beautifully toasted bun Crispy onions rocket for cheese covering a half pound patty This is so good has some chilies to it No wrong way to use this burger. I just want to say grandpa Is a trooper. This is like round was round five six and grandpa just told us that He'll keep going. He'll keep going till the end till they take the food away till they won't serve us anymore Love that buffet attitude. Love it. That's kind of that's you gotta have when you come to a buffet like this No giving up till the end Last thing they brought over triple layer Coconut buttercream cake they brought over. They said this is the best thing on the menu Holy crap, that's like thanksgiving christmas new year chinese new year valentine's day chinese valentine's day all the holidays I love all in one bite. That's a moist buttery delicious Piece of cake It's good, right? Oh even grandma likes it not too sweet again best compliment for asians for dessert Not too sweet. Oh, this is definitely an experience. I love this. Oh, what a good place Probably one of my favorite buffets i've had this year quality was so exquisite again the butter out of this world the burger Man, I couldn't stay away from the burger. Everything was excellent. I don't know when this video is going up The only thing is they're going to temporarily suspend the all you can eat for a little bit I guess king crab legs prices are skyrocketing. They did say hopefully as a temporary thing So definitely check in with them if you want to come for the all you can eat experience Which I highly recommend you do and don't forget that cake This is a pretty adorable bubble tea shop So i'm going to be in chicago for the next few days exploring the food scene last time I was here I actually did a day of filming where I didn't publish it because it was just kind of a random day of filming But I found some really good restaurants, especially this japanese one So up next is what I found in chicago a while back. Enjoy the rest of the video So apparently there's a whole area I think around arlington heights outside of chicago That's a ton of japanese restaurants and supermarkets. So it's kind of a chilly windy day And I wanted to get some ramen I heard this place is pretty good. Bannai's kitakata ramen It's like a salad on top of my ramen Bunch of pieces of chashu tons of sprouts underneath wavy noodles spicy miso ramen extra spicy Broth is thick and creamy. I would highly recommend getting extra spicy Noodles are really unique. I've had many noodles like this before it almost tastes like a chinese Thin hand-pulled noodles really smooth on the outside. Very al dente didn't think I really wanted the veggies, but that's a nice crunch Chashu is excellent. Yeah this part you see that that's the melty part. You want to see that on your chashu I mean something kind of different Than what i've had in the past but ain't no mistaking that this is delicious that definitely hits the spot Also, I got this bowl. So they put charred chashu with some kind of sauce over rice It's kind of like that bacon boys to get when I was in tokyo That's really really really good if I wasn't going somewhere else after this I'll get a big bowl of this on this whole area. Not just japanese restaurant korean restaurants, too Tons of japanese supermarkets as well. That looks right this place Daruma this place is called Whoa, this is cool. Thanks Wow Look at this This is part of filming that's kind of frustrating So whenever I go inside a place you have to see where the light is. So the light is coming from here so that means I would have to sit here, but then You really should be sitting here. But then You see you see how it's like really backlit Not good Yeah better or am I sitting you know what? Sit right here. All right first dishes here. This smells Incredible. So it's marinated sliced pork belly with chives in a Lemon and when I tell you this smells So good I feel like i'm underselling it and I was told that this is something you must get every time you're here I think this is beef tongue. It's basically stir fried beef tongue with scallions So good Scallion if you used to ride ones, they taste a little sweet in addition to the fragrant flavor Also, what it'll do is cover up any of the gaminess from the meat Oh, it's so good It's how I know a lot of people never had it or maybe a little apprehensive about trying it get yourself some tongue this kind If done, right? It's just so tender a little smokiness from the pan and paired perfectly and goes just perfect with these fragrant sweet scallions I don't suppose i'm supposed to add some of this on there, too Why not? I feel like if someone puts pepper in front of you, you don't add it. You're just being rude Although this is uh seasoned perfectly already Oh, that's so good am I supposed to be adding the chilies? Oh, yeah. Yeah, okay That's why you gave it to me Thank you. So this is the toro takumaki. So it's medium fatty tuna. Usually I like it as fatty as tuna-ly possible Yeah, i'm not a sushi expert this is delicious the rice is flavorful a nice crunch from the veggies fish again melts Like nobody's business and this is my fatty Piece of tuna. Oh I know I call it the wagyu of the sea other people call it wagyu of the sea. It actually does look like wagyu Yeah you can You can literally see the fat as soon as you just look in its direction I wonder what happened if you eat like a piece of a5 wagyu served under a fatty piece of tuna you ever hear about those people that just Spontaneously combust maybe that was the cost. Wow Tonkatsu with uh burned garlic oil on top Beautiful gooey egg scallions some mushrooms Oh, yeah, baby. Oh that looks so pretty thin straight noodles beneath the surface They give you a lot of noodles in this bowl of ramen, by the way, this whole thing is 12 bucks Wow, that's good smooth and rich giant piece of chashu Noodles are perfect Burn my tongue a little bit. Luckily I have some spares Chashu chashu is really tender I wish there were more fatty pieces though And that's just a personal preference That was good that place is pretty impressive because usually you go to like a sushi restaurant or a ramen restaurant where uh What is that? Oh That was a tornado warning. We used to I remember living here. We used to have these tornado Warning sirens go off. Anyway, like I was saying that place is like a like a ramen shop a sushi restaurant In in izakaya all combined together and they were able to do all that Well, so probably one of the most authentic japanese restaurants i've been to in the u.s And the pricing is good if that restaurant was in new york or anywhere in the vicinity of new york that bowl ramen would be $16 All right belly full of food Storm clouds are coming.
