BEDROOM MAKEOVER- day 1

Alright, closet number one. We are going to go through all these and I think I'm going to have ten shirts left when I'm done. Good thing about Thomas's is I never have to buy clothes ever again because Thomas just gets rid of clothes every other week. Hey, what's up? You guys, I will never have to go clothes shopping ever again. Seriously gonna make an effort to not ever buy clothes again. Can we just check out those Trinidors real quick? Yeah, I mean, I'm already wearing the stuff like I'd be fine with just these you know But Thomas is very generous, you know, it takes care of me You know, he knows that I look homeless and he doesn't want me to be seen with him like that So, can you blame him? But look at me now. Look at me now. All I'm saying dude is if you've got three bags of just crisp fresh things that I've only worn once or twice Yeah, you know, you got a few weeks you rotate. So that's true. You got to keep your lads looking good. Yeah, that's mine Hey Look at all these delicious veggies from our garden, you know, that's only like half of them. Yeah This one looks a little bit nervous. So apparently when they split like that means they've been over watered. Oh, really? Interesting, but we are going to make salsa. Yeah. Yum So I was outside this morning taking Raiden out and I Saw the coolest spider web. It looks like Charlotte's web. Like I was expecting it to say a word inside of it There is the biggest spider I have ever seen minus a tarantula in this web It looks like a giant crab with the biggest butt. So I'm going to show you guys Thomas says The spider looks like a potato chip He's trying to get a really cool picture of it, oh gosh a bug just blew on me If we get a good picture I'll make sure to post it in the video so you guys can see how cool the spider web and how scary the spider is What are you trying to do right now? I'm trying to cut this spiders web You guys it won't cut fine how strong it is it took oh my gosh, those are so strong he's gonna freak out Guys do you see that spider? Guess what guys we are working on our bedroom today. I am so sick of these walls I can't even tell you it's like rubbing your hand on sandpaper. Let me show you what they did Okay, can you guys see this? It's just like it really is like they threw they painted the walls and then threw rocks all over them Like tiny little rocks and if you just like flick them, they'll flick right off But Thomas is gonna do the hand sanding in here So he's real excited about that we've actually been avoiding this room for that reason because The sanding is gonna take so long. Oh, but I'm excited for how it's gonna turn out so I'll give you guys a little before of all the different angles of the bedroom so you guys can see The difference when we show you the after okay, so here's the bedroom We are going to I'm gonna try just painting those lights because I kind of like them and Then I also want to I meant to get different lights in them because if they're really yellow I want it to be a little bit brighter because our windows they're pretty small and we're in a shaded area So you don't get like any natural sunlight in here and I do miss that about our other bedroom but here is the rest of the room Okay, so We're gonna be doing just the room because in the closet Which is also the master bathroom We are going to get this all blown out and it's gonna be one huge master suite bathroom, so We're not gonna be messing with that because we have professionals doing that. We are just gonna have Some fun in here today painting Can't wait to show you guys the after All right, here goes nothing You guys see all those lines on the wall right there Those are just like the little Thomas just scraped him off with a what is that thing? spackle What a spackle what? It's a putty knife a putty knife. Those are like that's what's on it. Just like piles of rocks It's the weirdest thing. Sometimes when you do stuff like this if the trim is like really old like with the house on the sheetrock Sometimes like you have to be really careful because it'll pop a hole through the sheetrock and you have to repair a hole So as you go, you just want to make sure You loosen it as much as you can Before you start prying too hard good idea We don't want to have to fix holes that we don't need to be fixing right? Okay, so like I didn't use the curl wire to pull this off I just use my hand to pop it off. But this is what I was talking about like When it's old trim like this and they didn't use Regular like pin nails like a nail gun. They use actual nails and hammered it in I can't believe they did that So see how it peeled away like the first layer of the sheetrock in the paint We're just gonna have to do like a lot of sanding there to make it smooth And then when paint chips away like this you have to actually like you can't just paint over that and expect it to look good You have to like sand it down. So it's really smooth You want to touch up all these holes with putty and make this really nice So we actually have a lot of work ahead of us. Yay I Think the owners got a little bit rock happy right here. Do you guys see how many are like thrown right there? It's like rock plastic baby. Do you see how many are right here? Look at that. You're gonna have fun This is taking Stupid nails like how it's breaking Yikes Simon Simon showing us the light we painted today. So I just came out and spray-painted our lights that were hanging in our bedroom They were like a brown like a dark brown and I wanted them to be gold So I was like, well, I might as well just spray-paint them see how they turn out And if I still don't love them, then I'll get new ones, but I think I really do like how those turned out What do you think? It took like three hours So I ran to at home and I got some cute little end tables that will go next to our bed And some curtains with some curtain rods. So I think that just these things right here They're gonna make such a huge difference in the way our room look Simon and Cohen What did you guys do? Yeah, that was like yesterday, okay, so I think Ashley wants to work me even harder well, we're waiting for the Spackle to dry dry because we did like you guys we've been spackling and sanding and spackling and sanding Like for eight hours today all day So typically what if we have like a quick project that we just come up with we just do it and get it done But this one we've decided we're gonna be perfectionist on and we're gonna make it legit We're gonna do it right again. It's gonna take us a few days Seriously if you guys you guys saw the wall I've been dreading doing that since we moved into this house since before since Ashley said she wanted to buy this house I've only thought about that room And how terrifying it is Now you don't have to worry about it's done.
