So for me it was a dream come true. To visit the Amazon there are many options, this time I'm going to talk about how to travel if you are going to do it from Peru. From Peru you can access the Amazon especially through Puerto Maldonado or Iquitos in the north. Most people usually go through Puerto Maldonado, why? Because there is a flight that takes less than an hour to get from Cusco, the flights are usually super cheap to go back and forth and in Iquitos it is more complicated, you have to take a flight that takes you to the north, from there you have to move, it is more complicated. But to Puerto Maldonado it is super simple and that's where most people go and that's where I went too. Once there, there are a lot of companies that organize you to spend a couple of days there, you can do it from the most modest, which is to stay in Puerto Maldonado itself in a hostel and organize a small excursion that they take you to places in the Amazon or if not the most typical, maybe what I did, is to hire a hotel, one of those places that sell you the complete pack, that you stay for example 2 nights, 3 nights, 4 nights, the time you want and they organize you, apart from the accommodation, the excursions for the most important points of that area of ​​the Amazon. I stayed in a hotel called Hacienda Concepción, they are not the cheapest, but I wanted a little tranquility and to be there at ease, and the truth is that I loved it, the treatment is exquisite, some incredible facilities, if you have seen it in the videos, everything super well taken care of, the food is incredible, it is not the cheapest, but the excursions are very well organized, very good guides, and the truth is that it was an experience that I loved, I enjoyed it a lot, so I recommend Hacienda Concepción, but it is part of Inca Terra, the company is Inca Terra, it has Hacienda Concepción and it has another one out there, I don't remember the name, but hey, in that area it has at least two. Really, for Puerto Maldonado, the excursions, almost all the companies do the same, go to the main sites, San Lago Sandoval, do a night excursion to see bugs, a day trip to see plants, to see crocodiles, depending on the season of the year, you can see some things or others, so they are usually quite similar, so on the subject of excursions, don't worry because they will all offer the same package, they will all offer the same type of things. What changes from one to another are the facilities and services that they can offer, that's why I say that the one I stayed in, in Hacienda Concepción, are facilities that are like a resort, they are incredibly well-kept cabins in the middle of the Amazon, the food is from a high-end restaurant, that is, it is super good food, super well-made, you feel super well taken care of, the time you are not there is super relaxed, there are hammocks with books that allow you to read, it's a luxury, that's what I was looking for, maybe I'm going to another time in my life, I prefer to look for something more backpacking, and I look for something more humble, like in other places I go to, but there I wanted to be calm and not worry about anything, just enjoy, so it also depends on what you are looking for, and on the budget you are going to manage, keep in mind that there is no coverage, no wifi or anything, and that is something to be grateful for, in fact, I would turn off the mobile, and enjoy the solitude and tranquility and peace that you have there, because you are going to be there for a few days, you will have the connection again when you return, so don't worry about that, there is no air conditioning either, so keep in mind that it is a place, obviously the Amazon is a very humid place, super humid, you are going to be sweating all day, there is a pleasant moment of the day, which is at 6 in the morning, it is a super nice moment, because it is still fresh, it is perfectly and then from there it starts to get hot, so you are going to sweat a lot, wear very comfortable clothes, wear enough clothes to change, you are going to have to shower a lot, so drink a lot of water, because you are going to be dehydrating constantly, and then do not leave anything, wear sunscreen with a lot of protection, wear anti-mosquitoes, super important, the most important thing is to wear anti-mosquitoes, a strong one, in my case I use Relec, which is a spray that you spread on your body and perfect, but any other type you want, to give you sunscreen and anti-mosquitoes, always remember to give the sunscreen first, which is the one that has to enter inside the skin, and after that, you give the anti-mosquito layer, do not do it the other way around, and the anti-mosquitoes, put it all over your body, do not put it only on the parts that you are going to be naked, because I made that mistake, that in one of the excursions I put anti-mosquitoes, as if it were sunscreen, I put it on my arms, legs, face and such, but the mosquitoes there, I came back and when I took off my shirt, which was a long-sleeved shirt, I took it off, and I had all my arms and body full of bites, and I already told you that I was chubby, so they go through anything, they have daggers, the mosquitoes there, then put the anti-mosquitoes all over, and several times a day, because if not, I already tell you that you are going to pay for it, and nothing else, enjoy the Amazon a lot, do not be afraid of bugs, go and enjoy it, see all the bugs, spiders, snakes, you will see nutria, if you go to the Sandoval lake, crocodiles, you will see everything, and apart from that, what is the Amazon for me is peace, because you are not going to be with a knife in your mouth, going through the forest at night, if you do an excursion like that, but it will be quiet, you will not find jaguars and cougars, so most of the day is going to be peace, tranquility, because you will do three excursions a day, and the rest of the day will be calm, enjoying nature, the noise of the jungle, and then, just for that, it was worth it, so I hope you enjoy it a lot, ask me for comments, and I will answer you gladly, thank you very much for having come here, and see you next time, bye.
