Water Wheel Falls - Payson, Arizona HIKE
NOTE: The parking lot is closed due to COVID19 but parking is available along the road. Please see the park's website for up to date information.
This is just a great, short hike to a beautiful spot. Plenty of parking and there are some picnic tables and BBQ's if you want to take some time here. It's a very easy hike and dogs are allowed.
Water Wheel Falls is a 1.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Payson, Arizona that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until September.

Hey guys what's going on it's me again I'm here in Payson still I am exploring and a couple years
ago I came to this place and the water was not clear and I wanted to come back and see it when
it's clear because they told me I've seen pictures and it looks just so fabulous so I'm here we're
gonna check it out so come along with me we're gonna see this beautiful waterfall together.
Waterwheel Falls this is a very popular place located near Payson Arizona but to get to the
waterfalls we have to hike about one and a half miles round trip. Whoa waterfall! We want to
explore different parts of this trail and our mission today is to get under those rocks so we
can get a closer view of this beautiful place. This is a major flush flood area you guys so
it's always important to check the weather forecast before you plan your trip. If you
enjoy playing in the water and getting wet the best time for you to visit is between March and
September otherwise the water might be a little too cold. I got wet you guys it's not pretty
I already got wet so it doesn't matter anymore right we were not ready for this this was not
the plan at all oh my god what the heck wow okay
that was a little intense only because I don't have the right shoes
they're a little slippery but I'm here
all right I can't believe this is the same way we came down
it's too dark oh yeah
it is kind of narrow oh I can see the light yes there it is
we did it all right guys that was really cool but that was not the main attraction we're here
to see another waterfall so stay tuned we're not done yet
