Let's do it!
One more, yeah!
7,000 to 12,000 years ago, the valley of Las Vegas was covered with a carpet of marach green grass.
And saber-toothed tigers hunted the grazing camels here.
The sparkling water areas of the valley formed when the last glaciers of the Ice Age melted.
Later, the collectors and hunters were repressed by the Spanish conquerors,
who were led into the valley by the Paiutes and Utes in the 19th century.
The conquerors interrupted their journey at the valuable springs
to drink water and rest there in the desert between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles.
The Spanish conquerors then gave the springs surrounded by grasslands, pastures and poplars the right name, Las Vegas.
That means as much as meadows.
The extreme climatic conditions of the valley demanded the most from the settlers,
who nevertheless settled there.
In summer they suffered from the hot sun and in winter from the chilling cold.
Due to these difficult weather conditions, snow or floods often hindered the passage of trains
and thus slowed the progress in this area.
But nevertheless, new settler waves came with the train to the city,
to make their luck here in Las Vegas.
If you drive today by car from Los Angeles to Las Vegas,
this is THE trip on the road and a symbol of the American way of life.
On the road in total freedom in the midst of a breathtaking and wild landscape.
