We made it to Disney World! We spent one day park hopping at Disney World and our first stop was Hollywood Studios, where our main goal was to visit the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge to ride Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run and the Rise of the Resistance, as well as drink some blue and green milk.
We also went on some of our favorite rides, like the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster & Tower of Terror. It was a SUPER FUN half day and we were so blown away by the park!

I have no words. Worth the wait. Worth the wait for sure.
Hello from Disney World!
We are so dang excited to be back here. A little known fact about us is that our blog
Adventures of A plus K actually started at Disney World four and a half years ago.
We came during the 4th of July holiday with about a group of ten people and
despite that being one of the busiest times and having a really large group,
we hardly waited in any lines and we had a blast and so we just felt like we
wanted to share our tips to how we made that all happen and so we started our
blog and it is awesome and really special to be back where it all began.
It's exciting. So we only have one day to do Disney but we're gonna do two parks
and we're not gonna be able to see everything but we made a list of all the
stuff we really want to see and we are excited to bring you along.
We are kicking things off at Hollywood Studios which is home to the new Star
Wars attraction Galaxy's Edge and that's the thing that I'm most excited to see.
So the park technically on the website says it opens at 8 a.m. but we had been
hearing they've been opening the park early to accommodate the massive crowds
that are coming to Hollywood Studios for Star Wars and so we talked to an
employee the other day and he said they were opening at 7 so we got here at like
545 a.m. or so and there are already a ton of people and they actually let us
in the park around like 620 630 ish so we're all we're just kind of waiting
around right now because there's like a virtual queue to ride the main ride that
opens at 7 so we have 20 minutes to kill and just hope we can get a spot in
line for that ride. See all the people passing by. It is busy here. It's gonna be like who can get on their app the
fastest and get a spot on the ride so it's just luck.
Our friends Sarah and Chris who are also full-time vanlifers and have their own
YouTube channel which we'll link to below are joining us today and we're so
excited. We're patiently waiting at the entrance gates just like trying to spot them.
It feels like picking up someone from the airport like the excitement. We
haven't seen them in so long and we've been planning this for a very long time.
We found them!
Oh here we go.
Ah!
Oh my!
Come on!
Ah!
This is so stressful!
This is high stakes right now.
I don't want to trip.
That's not bad!
Double digits!
We got group number 74 which doesn't really mean much it just means they'll call our group at some point we
don't know what time that'll be but we're gonna hope it's in the morning
because we have to hop over to our other part later. We got the craziness of the
boarding group out of the way and now we're just heading into the main
entrance of the Star Wars exhibit. I'm excited. We are in line for the Millennium
Falcon smugglers run and it's just like probably every other ride here it's a
really long line but the good thing about it is it kind of winds you all
around the whole Star Wars world so you get a little bit of a tour. It is very cool in here and I will say I'm
not like really like a diehard Star Wars fan. I've seen most of the movies and I
like them but Adam's definitely the bigger fan here. I'm much more of a fan
but I'm not all the way caught up so go easy on me too.
This is so cool. I feel like the biggest Star Wars fan in the world. It is just so detailed and
everything is just so well thought out. You truly feel like you were in Star
Wars which is how I felt about Harry Potter as well. That park is awesome too.
Yeah even like the trash cans, the lights, the bathrooms, everything. The bathrooms
are so nice here. All decked out.
Please don't crash. I'll try not to.
I wasn't a very good pilot.
We only got 34%. Not good. That's not zero.
It was more fun than I expected. Yeah, yeah. So you're in like the cockpit of a Millennium Falcon and you're flying around like a virtual reality kind of deal and it was a lot of fun.
So we're gonna leave the Star Wars area for a little bit and head to the Rock and
Roller Coaster because the line does not look that long. We don't know when our
time will be for the main Star Wars ride. They're still in like group 33 so I
think we still have a few hours to go. So we're gonna knock out everything else we
can in the park and then come back to Star Wars more towards the end of our
time here. So fun little story for you. When I was seven years old my family
came to Disney World and we were at Hollywood Studios and I wanted to go on
one last ride and at that point in my life I did not go on roller coasters. So
I thought since the Rock and Roller Coaster was inside, an indoor
ride, that it wouldn't go upside down. And imagine my surprise when I got on that
ride and it like shoots you and you go upside down so much and I was squeezing
onto my dad's arm the whole time and hated every moment of it. But then I
started to learn to love roller coasters and now this is one of my favorite rides
ever. So the wait time for the ride has gone up than when we originally looked.
So we're gonna do the single rider line which will hopefully get on faster but
we're gonna be separated. Oh well, we'll get on. You couldn't tell, that thing was a
blast. So much fun, goes so freaking fast. The first part where it just shoots you out is
like the best part. The kid behind me was just like me when I was little. He had
never really been on a roller coaster. He didn't think it went upside down because
his parents lied to him. And he didn't like it but I think one day he will look
back like I do now and love it. We didn't get to ride together but we were really close.
Disney pro tip, you can bring your own food and water into the park so if you
want to save money, definitely do that. That means more money you will have for
Joel Whipps at Magic Kingdom. Howdy, you must be the new toys. I'm Sheriff Woody
and the only rule around here, have a great time.
So we only reserved one Fastpass ride and it's in our time slot and we chose
the Tower of Terror so we're gonna head over there now. So I love roller coasters
but I don't like rides that drop. They just, I think the anticipation of just
waiting for it to drop scares me, gives me a lot of anxiety and then I don't
really love like how the dropping motion makes my stomach feel but I gotta ride
the Tower of Terror. I've done it one other time and I survived so I don't
know. We'll see, hopefully I can GoPro it and get my facial expressions. It's
different than the ones that are like just out in the open and you go up, it's just a
tower. This one is like a whole experience around it so. With the hotel and
everything. It's really cool.
Let's go!
I'm so nervous right now. Sarah's jumping for joy.
I was so scared. I think I was like pushing my feet against the side of it
to keep me in. I was afraid I was gonna fly out. You loved it but you hated it at the same time.
Yeah, it's a love-hate relationship. I just loved it, it was so fun. In our photo we got Adam looks the happiest of
all three of us. Just smiling. I was laughing the whole time, it was fun.
So we came back over to the Star Wars area to wait out our turn for the ride,
the Rise of the Resistance and so we decided to check out some of the blue
and green milk which we don't know exactly what they are. We know they're
coconut and rice milk so they're dairy-free and they're very colorful but
we don't know what they taste like so let's see. One's supposed to be sweet, one's supposed to be
tangy. Yeah. Here we go. I don't know who has what. That noise. This one's sweet. Oh, I thought mine was sweet.
This is sweet. I don't know. It almost kind of tastes like, I don't know, blue raspberry? I think I'm thinking blue
raspberry because of the color. Want to switch? Yeah, let's switch. I can't, I can never
like tell like when I'm trying something like that. Yeah. I feel like yours is more
citrusy. This is more tangy, I don't know. Clearly we're not food reviewers. Yeah, they're very unique. We can't get it right.
They're very unique but it's like a slushy consistency, a thick slushy. Which is really nice because, which is really nice because it was very foggy all
morning and now the Sun has come out so it's gotten really hot and muggy so this is a very refreshing treat. This one almost feels thicker to me? I don't know.
The other ones is icier. They're very good. I don't, I just don't know how to
describe them but I recommend if it's a hot day at Disney, this is a great treat.
They are pricey though. Oh gosh. Eight bucks a pop. Eight bucks each and if you want alcohol in it, which you can get, it's $15 each. Yeah, but
definitely do it. You got to do it when you're here. Yeah, I mean we brought snacks
so we don't buy that much food here so we're just getting little treats
throughout the parks today and should still not spend that much money. We'll see.
The time has come. We have gotten our notification that it's our turn for the
Rise of the Resistance. So we entered the virtual queue at 7 a.m. We were group
number 74 and we just got alerted and it's about 1 p.m. so it took us six
hours for I guess all 73 groups to get through the ride. You get a two-hour
window once you get alerted so we're trying to go on the ride at the earlier
part of our window but six hours, not too bad. We were trying to park hop today so
if it was gonna be much later than this we probably couldn't go on it so the
timing worked out perfect. Yeah, I obviously like that you don't have to
stand in line for six hours so this little system it's kind of different
it's different than any other ride that I've ever seen so it's cool that you do
that and you don't have to wait there but we've been like waiting around all
day and just kind of you don't really know why it takes so long. Yeah, we hear
though once we go to the ride now we won't have to really wait in line. That's
exciting so I guess it's time to go see if it was worth it.
As we say, we just walk right up. I know we're probably a broken record but we're
honestly just having the best day ever. Yeah, it's been one of our best days in a
while. How can you not have a good day at Disney though? Can't stop smiling. I will say
though that like I don't know if we mentioned before but everything's just
gone so smooth so far. Yeah, we were kind of nervous like trying to have fun and
vlogging sometimes it can be hard to do both but yeah it's going really really
well. Okay, we do have to wait in a little bit of a line but it doesn't look too bad.
The resistance desperately needs your help in our fight against Kylo Ren and
the First Order.
They said we're gonna be interrogated. Adam already got in trouble for stepping
out of the line.
You chose the wrong side and now you will pay.
The ride's beginning.
Hurry and don't get caught.
Did it work?
Good, now get a move on.
The path to the turbo lifts at the end of the hallway.
Turn right.
Hey, you're not authorized to wait.
Those are the prisoners.
Two droids anyway.
How brave, but ultimately hopeless.
There's nowhere to run.
There's no escape.
You will tell me the location of the secret base.
And then I will destroy you and the resistance.
Great job recruits.
Thanks to your heroism the location of the resistance base is secure.
We survived.
We're part of the resistance now.
Oh my gosh, what an experience.
I don't even want to call it a ride.
Because it was more of an experience than a ride.
Wow.
Yeah, you get taken all through these different rooms and then there's all these videos that play and it's
kind of walks you through like a Star Wars story.
At first we were in this room and there were some videos and I thought that was it.
And I was like, oh this is kind of lame.
But then you go to another spot and then you finally get on the actual ride.
Yeah, for a while there you don't know that there's a ride part to it.
Yeah, it's such an experience.
You get to see and do so many things and then you finally get on the ride.
I'm sorry if we put way too many clips of the ride in this vlog because we filmed the entire thing.
Yeah, there was a lot to it.
I don't really have many words.
I now understand why it takes so long to go on the ride.
It's a very long experience.
I don't know how long we've been in here.
Probably at least 10 minutes.
It was probably a 10 minute ride, which is unheard of.
Way more than what I thought it was going to be though.
I thought it was just like a regular one.
You get in and you ride something and then you get out.
I'd say it was worth it.
It was grand.
Big rooms to go in.
That's just been my biggest takeaway from this whole area of Hollywood Studios.
How much thought they put into everything.
How much intention they had.
I don't know.
I have no words.
Worth the wait for sure.
That does it for our time at Hollywood Studios.
And now we're on to Magic Kingdom.
Oh, sorry.
I just hit a lady.
Oops, sorry.
Yeah.
We are kicking things.
Oh, I wasn't. Sorry.
I don't know.
I started staring at those people over there.
It's early.
