Tonight, the Lakers take on the Charlotte Hornets. And here is Lamello. You mentioned it, such incredible vision and unlimited range, and he shows it right there. Last time Lamello played here against the Lakers, he had a triple-double tough shot by the king. Rozier comes out the other end. Now it's gonna be a shot, and in it is. And that's knocked down by P.J. Washington. And it's Pat Beverley. Braun gets into the lane all the way, and that's blocked out of bounds. Schroeder at 18, six for 13 against Sacramento. LeBron James. Another catch and elevation by LeBron. Spinning, LeBron, reverse layup is good. It's a good start for LeBron. Look at this pass to Thomas Bryant. Beautiful stuff, setting it up, LeBron James. LeBron again behind the back. It goes to Pat Benz, six to shoot. Good ball movement. Lonnie, the fourth. Good to see Austin Reeves back in the lineup after missing two with the sprained ankle. Oh, he goes back. That ankle's okay. Nice. And scoring and finishing is Lonnie. A beautiful pass there. It's just so much fun to watch. Wang in on a nice dish from Westbrook. This Hornets team trailed by 36 in the first half against the Clippers the other night, but hitting it is Washington. You can see where he lives. Faked by Bryant. Ball movement again. Reeves is open. Yes, sir! Austin for three. 23 to 14 in the lane. Throw it up and in. Soft touch, scored by Rozier. Russ in the attacking zone for your Lakers. Less than a minute to play. Russ all the way. Rides it up. Oh, what a jam! Shot on the way. Hayward, nothing but net for the Hornets. 16 on the shot clock. 26 on the kick. Leaning in is Oubre. That'll count and one. Here's McDaniels, whose older brother plays for the T-Wolves, and hitting it is Lamello from downtown. Spinning Oubre all the way. Scoring! And he gets knocked down. It's gonna be some pushups. Kelly Oubre. Lakers looking at a two-point deficit here. And here's Richards all the way. Count it and one. There's the seventh Laker turnover. Up and a great pass to Oubre. What a bullet baseball pass. This is the biggest deficit that the Lakers have faced, and it's the first double-digit lead of the game. Where's the defense? LeBron finally finds the range from downtown. Wow. Ball goes in. That's called waltzing your way to the rim. The Lakers' defensive efficiency, 18th rated right now in the NBA. That's been falling pretty steadily since the start of the year. Two in a row, but nearly the same spot for Schroeder. Wide open to Schroeder, looking for more. Got it! Yes, sir! That's a good find. Cross court. Start, stop. Couple of big step final. Mellow ball to score. Open to P.J. Washington. Again, that's where he resides. P.J. In his debut with Charlotte, he had seven threes. That's an NBA record for a debut. Frozen rope three! Knock it down and count it for Thomas Brown. Washington got the happy hand right now from the outside, shooting for three. This Charlotte team has given up 119 plus points in nine straight days. Thrown down the lob and the jam. Here is Westbrook. In the air from LeBron! Underneath, put up and in. Lakers have been outscored 31-24 here in the quarter so far. Laid up and in. Once again, no defense at the rim, Steve. He's catching, shoot! Taken out by Russ. He wants to get to the rim and he does with the left hand! It's tied at 62, half a minute to go. Russ nearly got called for the push off, but he just bodied his way into the layup. It's now to Maldon. Tao hits it and they regain the lead 65-64. LeBron swishes it through with two point eight! Hayward, open on its way. And he's got the soft touch. And now the Lakers get back defensively. Rozier scores. The hustle by Gordon Hayward. Up ahead, his ball to score. Then he gets knocked down by Bryant. Timeout, Darvin Hamm and the Lakers. Eight point game. Underneath, Hayward scores. A lot of the crowd hasn't even settled back in. LeBron off of one foot and he scores. Rozier on its way. That's Rozier for three. Plumlee was open. Now it's Lamello from straight away. And LeBron is down and slowly getting up. Lonnie can get him back. And he does with that three. And he's gonna look at it. He's gonna fire it. Lakers need a timeout badly. Reeves, fly by, three on its way. Got it! Eight to shoot. Bounce to Reeves, good guy to get it to. Kick it over to Troy Brown Jr. Maldon, and he ends their drought. That's a two for Maldon. Russ calling out. He wants Thomas Bryant to come up. Instead he goes down the middle all the way. Backhand layup is beautiful. Seven point game. Give it to Reeves, score! Russ making stuff happen. That's gonna be launched for three. That's McDaniels. And Rozier, that was better for Terry Rozier. Max Christine gets it stolen away. And it's a three on one. The middle man is LaMelo Love. That's the guy you want running the break. And McDaniels finishes it. Williams one on one in deep and he makes a pay. The big fella pay. Here is Hayward, got it. Gordon Hayward, nothing but net. In deep, blocked! Rejected! We got bodies on the ground and somebody's hurt. Richards turned an ankle. And the Lakers score. Ten point game. Ball at the other end. Reefers layup is pretty. LeBron, they double up on LeBron. So they get it to Reeves. Ball movement finds Thomas Bryant. Gonna fire and hit the three. Russ found him. Did a good job by the bench tonight. Wasn't so much in Sacramento and Oubre. It's the three. Plumlee, they take it from him. Three on one. Here's LeBron. LeBron's gonna try to spin and lose it. Forgot the basketball. Down goes Plumlee. It's three on three. Rozier. Terry Rozier. Ooh, shake and bake for LeMelo with the off. And now he's got it and scores. Since his return from injury, he has 20 points in all six games. But LeBron comes back when they definitely need it. LeBron now has at least 20 in each of his last six. Oubre, though. Too easy. No defense. Lottie to fourth. Ooh, he's hit. And got it! Five fouls on Kelly Oubre. LeBron with the left-handed dribble. Here he goes. All the way to the rim. Into the front court. We've entered the five minutes. Brought to you by Morongo. We've got ourselves a ball game here. Underneath nearly. Oh, they're gonna count it. And one. Thomas Bryant with four and a half to play in the contest. Gives it to LeBron. LeBron open for three. Count it! LeBron has 12 in the last 16, but Plumlee scores. Wow, Plumlee just overpowered Thomas Bryant. Shooter pulls up corner of the key. Perfect. No. Now to Washington. He throws it down. LeBron to bounce to Thomas Bryant. He has it stripped away. Taken by Oubre. Into the front court. Now to Rozier. He's gonna fire it up. And in! Dev's gonna go baseline. Throws it to the corner. Russ for three! Big three! Huge three for the Brody. Love to LeBron! Rozier has gotten into hot hands. He lays it up and missed! Oh, oh. LeBron spinning. LeBron scoring! Back to three. Long. He's gonna try a three. Yes, sir! Big three by Pat. Slip it under the reeds. What a pass. Ball for three. Short! Shooter's ahead of the pack. Here's Rozier with three to shoot. Lakers swarming. Rozier to the lead. The whistle was for goalkeeping. Goaltending. It's a count it to Charlotte. Pat Bev with six seconds left. Gotta get it in. Here's LeBron. LeBron throws a shoot for the win! The Tigers are gonna lose at point four. And the Lakers head off onto the road with yet another defeat.
