I'm in San Francisco, and for my first meal, I went to a xian restaurant, which one of my favorite cuisines. The next day I did a lot of touring and filming for my last location for the video I'm shooting.
One of my favorite Xi'an places in San Francisco.
You guys never had Xi'an food?
I don't know what that means.
Oh, you're gonna love it.
You're gonna have to teach us.
So much noodles.
Well, there's actually better places for noodles down at the bay but
Really?
We're in the city, so.
What can't you do?
This is our last city of filming.
We're gonna go karaoke after this.
Not today, but after this whole thing.
Oh my god.
Chinese food is right behind you.
It looks amazing.
Here it is.
Look at that.
Wow.
Oh my god.
This is probably the biggest noodle I've ever seen in my life.
I've never seen a noodle this big before.
These are my favorite.
So these don't have any meat, but they're freaking delicious.
Nothing beats that texture.
None of you guys ever had jellyfish?
Take some jellyfish, pass it down.
So good, right?
That's good.
So good.
Jellyfish is great, right?
And you finish off with some fermented rice, black sesame mochi ball soup.
It just tastes like Chinese New Year morning.
I'm gonna go get some.
This is like the perfect setting for, I don't know,
Night of the Boba Monster attacks.
Funny, like this place.
Look at this backdrop, right?
Like horror movie.
And then bright and cheerful, pretty dessert shop.
It's like one of those things that's like in a nightmare,
that's fake, that's trying to lure you in.
And then some witch is going to pop out and stuff you in the oven.
It's kind of like that.
I'm sure it's not, but that's what I think about.
You're Stacey?
Check out Stacey's present.
This is your present.
It looks like a big tootsie roll.
So you're going to open that.
Wait, one of you guys give her a big tootsie roll?
You gave it to her?
Yeah.
All right, open it.
Yeah, open it.
Let's see what it is.
What the heck is this?
No, burrito wrap blanket.
Oh my God.
I need one of those.
Oh, oh, that makes me hungry.
I think that's a great present.
Good job.
Happy birthday.
Very fluffy.
Everything's like so perfect.
Beautiful.
Very Instagrammable place.
It tastes good too.
It's not just all like, but it's good looking.
You like your boba cake?
Yeah, it's earl grey tea.
Cable car, my favorite thing to do in San Francisco.
This guy saved my life.
He tells me when things about to hit me.
And all these guys.
Yo, say hi.
These guys are awesome.
Like people think it's like touristy.
I freaking love it.
I just like hanging off things and possibly getting hit by another car.
I don't know.
Sends a rush through you, you know?
This is Lombard Street.
It's more twisted than a Stephen King novel.
Super airy shower dough.
Creamy creme chowder.
You gotta add Tabasco in the creme chowder.
So much better.
That heat and sourness from the Tabasco.
It cuts right through that creamy chowder.
Sometimes it can be a little too much, a little heavy.
Not with the Tabasco.
It's my favorite part right here.
Crushed part of the bread.
Really not a San Francisco without fish.
Pier 39.
This is like a must visit after going to the wharf.
And Trish's Donuts.
You excited for donuts?
Try some.
Good?
Would you like a donut?
It's a good donut, right?
Right?
It's a good donut.
It's like, it's like, drop another one.
We're gonna stage inside.
Oh, this.
What just got put in my face?
Hello, it's me.
Right?
I always get these donuts.
Oh my god.
We did it!
It's done!
Take a bow.
Take a bow, take a bow.
Good job, everybody.
Good job.
Great work, everybody.
Seven cities.
Good job, everyone.
Seven cities we just wrapped.
Seven cities.
It's over.
A jillion restaurants.
A million restaurants.
We did it.
Great work, everybody.
It was great working with you guys.
I'm sorry.
Oh, we gotta hang out later.
That was awkward if I just left.
Last dinner here in San Francisco.
I need to get some, I need to get some Vietnamese roast crab and garlic noodles.
But there's a, we're going to a wrap party, a karaoke soon.
So we can't really go all the way back to inner Richmond.
So this is the only place I, my friends recommended around here.
RNG Lounge.
First impression, it's very modern, well-designed place.
It's not as rustic as the crab places I've been to in the past.
So they don't have just plain garlic noodles.
They have garlic seafood noodles, which is fine.
And we got their signature salt and pepper crab.
Waiting for that.
It's fine.
This is fine.
Thank you so much.
Oh, let me, let me hold that.
All right.
Okay.
Can I hold this?
All right.
Here it is.
Salt and pepper crab.
Oh man.
Don't get in the habit of smelling things you love.
Because when you do that to like a person, probably not the most polite thing.
But with food, it's a compliment.
Oh yeah.
This is the best part.
Oh, that's Molly fried as well.
They really didn't skimp on the details.
This, I've been to a couple of restaurants here, crab houses.
They throw this away.
They clean this out like, like it's trash or something.
This is the real treasure of the crab.
And these guys, they fried it.
They know what they're doing.
At least in this regard.
Fried salt and pepper crab.
It's fried perfectly.
And the way I judge that is, is it completely crispy?
And also, can I eat some of the outer shell of the crab?
The answer is yes and yes.
I mean, the outside, the flavor is not like aggressive.
It's very subtle.
But all that just enhances that light, sweet crabby.
That's just slightly nutty, but so perfectly succulent.
I mean, I still miss the garlic crab I had last time I was here.
But the fried crab is amazing.
So I'll tell you what, that texture is insane.
It's so incredibly al dente and chewy.
I've had mini garlic noodles.
This is the best texture I've ever had of noodles.
I never had that fried before, but that was perfect.
Because that part of the crab is just a little gooey.
And now, there's just tons of crunch.
I have my doubts about this place, really.
Because first of all, it's not located in the Asian section of San Francisco.
But man, not bad at all.
You could just eat the breading off on the outside of this.
And you want to do that.
The breading is actually very flavorful.
And it has more of the pepper flavor.
And it's light and airy.
I mean, it's oily, but it's still light and airy.
And honestly, the service, that's top-notch.
The guy is so nice.
So overall, my first time here, I really dig this place.
Add some hot sauce to that noodle.
Oh yeah, made it even better.
It is seriously great.
The stuff on the bottom, this is where the flavor is.
Put the little crumbs on your crab.
That's where you get most of that garlic flavor.
That was deeply, deeply, deeply satisfying.
When I came to San Francisco, that was like the only thing I was looking forward to.
The crab and the garlic noodles did not disappoint this place.
Going to a wrap party now.
Last day of the shoot.
Gotta go karaoke.
It's been a pleasure hanging out with you guys.
Good adventure.
Now, they get to go back to New York.
New recipes.
Pork and poblano tacos.
Korean beef bibimbap.
I had this.
This is good.
I've been waiting for this.
Got my new triple fat goose jacket and a meal today.
Oh yeah.
Can't wait to wear this to Korea.
By the way, I'm going to Korea in four days.
I haven't been home in two months.
I haven't been home.
And all I want to do is just lay on this floor couch and my big beanie bean bags.
And not move for the next week.
That's the plan.
Just gonna lay here.
