FRESH SEAFOOD FEAST! Food Tour Madrid & Barcelona

Can't go out the balcony because the door only opens 10 centimeters. Uh but there overlooks the fountain. Closet. Luggage room. Like there's actually a room for your luggage. And check out the bathroom. Holy what the... This is a massive bathroom. I don't know if the bathtub is supposed to be wet or not. This looks like someone just took a shower in here. Other than that. Ooh personalized pooper room. Ah butt soap. So I asked and downstairs there's like a sports awards ceremony. As swanky as this room appears and as expensive as it seems. I'm actually getting it at a really good deal. A little over $200 a night. That's a really good deal for this hotel room. Actually the hotels in Madrid is not that expensive. The most expensive hotel rooms on this trip so far. Definitely London. But this is pretty good for the price. She's tall. First impression. Really beautiful city. Architecture is completely unique. Extremely elegant. Um just walking around at night. Everything's really bright lit up. It's really late so I just kind of want some Chinese comfort food. And this place here. This is where all the Chinese people say it's amazing. All Chinese people here. Should be good. We got a This looks like. Huh. Doesn't look like traditional zha jiao mian. I don't know. Is this cheese? No. It's peanuts. I'm like wow. Didn't know they could have seasoned by this dish. That's the roasted fish. That's peanuts. Looks like some peanut sauce. Which is not very traditional when it comes to this dish. But again I'm in Madrid. This is supposed to be the best Chinese restaurant in Madrid. This is the beef dish. This is dry stir-fried beef. Beef is not tender at all. It's actually almost jerkified. But the flavor is really really good. Really spicy. Cumin. Sesame flavor. Tastes good though. This is the fish. I expected something way bigger but looks like it's got some potatoes, cauliflower, bean sprouts. This fish looks a little dry. It doesn't look all that fresh. I don't think that's a fresh fish. Flavoring is okay but fish meat. Seasoning is good. Fish is so very mediocre. All right that's pretty satisfying. Gotta go to bed. See you in the morning. Okay so anywhere you go you gotta watch out for scams. It happens everywhere. Let me just tell you about one that happens here in Madrid. One I kind of fell for. So here's what I did. A guy came up to me and I don't know how I could possibly fall for this because now thinking back it's so stupid. Like I'm such a moron. But a guy came up to me. He had a bunch of bracelets and trinkets. Comes up to me. He's like where are you from? I'm from New York. Start talking. Then he's like hey you know what I'm gonna give you a bracelet okay because you know you're cool. I'm gonna give you a bracelet. I'm like no no no I don't need one. But he grabs my hand puts one on me and then he starts stuffing other trinkets in my hand. I'm like no I don't want it but he stuffs in there and for some reason either I'm just so stupid or he was so incredibly charming that I actually believe he was giving me something. So then I reach in my pocket. I'm like let me give you some money and I take out whatever I have and then he just took it all and then he leaves. So just I mean thinking back on me this is so dumb. Why? How do I let someone put a bracelet on my hand? I don't even understand it. But it happens so it's something you should watch out for. There you go. All right you know what? I need another churro and hot chocolate. So churro before dinner and churro after dinner. I think I'm turning into a churro. A stuck churro. Got a hazelnut hot chocolate and this one looks thicker than the one I had earlier today. Oh this is just oh gosh. You could almost walk on top of this. Oh that's like a chocolate congee. It's so thick. Oh my gosh way thicker than what I had before. I'm getting a palette of the churro. It's pretty similar to the last place but the chocolate is way thicker and it's a little too much for me. I'm getting a little overwhelmed by the chocolate. And usually that's not a bad thing but man that's just like chocolate cement right here. This is like a religion here. It's like 10 o'clock at night and people are still eating this hot chocolate. Goodbye Madrid. Had a good time here but on to Barcelona. Home. What a view huh? Pretty simple seat. A little footstool. That's as far as it goes back. Pretty comfortable seat though. See you in Barcelona. It's really cool. There's a cafeteria car on this train. Check it out. I've never seen a cafeteria on a train before. Oh here it is. People are just chilling. You can order some sandwiches, coffee, snacks, whatever you want. That's kind of cool. Just sitting on a train heading to Barcelona. Having a sip of drink at the cafeteria car. Seems pretty regular but kind of cool for me. Trying to find my hotel. It's a new hotel. No idea where it is. I found it. All right well couldn't tell it's a hotel because the nameplate is literally the size of my iPad. Like seriously. Got a nightclub in here. Here we go. Luggage is already here. Never seen a throw rug on a bed before but that's very chic and cool huh? Dim lighting. A little love seat. TV, tape. Oh what's this? Gandhi's influence. What? Tiles can be seen right outside the hotel. We have made an edible version just for you. Oh that's pretty awesome. This is edible? It's like little crackers. Ah that's awesome. Bathroom. Super nice. Wow beautiful sink. Hello. Gorgeous shower. Huh that reminds me of Thailand. It's like a secret toilet compartment. Home. Vanity. Sewing kit. Oh Shoemake. Love this. Vanity kit. Shower cap. Shave kit. All right as always a little break. Awesome dinner place coming up. But before that tastes as good as it looks. That guy just scared the heck out of me. I think Google Maps is trying to kill me. I have no idea where I am right now. I mean it's pretty but it's also kind of spooky. All this for food. Here we go. I heard this seafood place is amazing and they only take reservations. So I've got here like about 10 minutes before they open. Oh I can't wait. Already in line. Oh thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh my gosh look at that. That's a beautiful thing to see when you first walk into a restaurant. Oh wow they're they're alive. They're fresh. So you basically pick out the seafood you want and whatever you can choose the way they cook it for you. I'm just gonna let them decide whatever they want to cook and then just grab a table and start eating. Oh thank you. Thank you. Hi. I might have gone a little overboard with the seafood. But hey I'm in Barcelona. That's what they're known for. Gotta go all out. There's the kitchen where all the magic happens. When it buzzes you bring the receipt up. Octopus. Sweet. The octopus is cooked in I think butter and paprika. Oh that smells so incredible. Also I got a salad but whatever. Oh it's just octopus and olive oil. A little paprika. So tender. If all octopus was this soft and tender people back in the day they wouldn't be running from the crack and they'd be hunting it. This is so good. Also don't let a drop of this sauce go to waste. The place is already really awesome. Great first impression so far. I think it's buzzing again. Let me show you something really pretty. What? Just a massive plate of little necks and razor clams. Oh my gosh. You've never had razor clams before? You need to go to your local seafood market, grocery store, jump into the ocean, whatever you gotta do. You need some of this right away. This is one of my favorite seafood items in the world. Also some scallops. Jewel of the sea. All covered in some green garlic sauce. Oh my gosh. This sauce is magical. Don't judge me. You'll be doing the same thing. Wow. A little basil. Tons of garlic. Olive oil. That sauce is everything I love in my life. Love these little necks. Wow. So, so fresh. Oh razor clams. These things will slice its way into your heart. Oh so yummy. Scallops are tender. Incredibly, incredibly sweet. And all that leftover sauce. Yeah. I got a couple of extra orders of bread just so I could do this. I love this place. One of the best places I've been to in Spain. Oh, I totally forgot about this. Massive prawns. Two sets of them. If this was swimming towards me in the water, I'd be freaking out a little bit. But on my plate, all I'm doing is salivating. Oh, look at that delicious meat. Oh, and this. That, that's where all the good stuff resides. That head right there. That's a tasty. Oh, I wish I could put this in the soup. That is so incredibly tender. This tender, delicate prawn meat. Actually, I don't think they cooked this all the way up. So it's even more tender than I thought. But this thing is like eating a prawn lollipop. It's so sweet. One last thing I got. The flounder. They cover all this with this beautiful garlic sauce. They cook everything so perfectly here. This flounder is toasty on the outside. Incredibly tender, juicy. So, so fresh. Everything here is just so incredibly fresh. I love tasting the char on the fish. Having so much fun eating here today. This is great. Choose your own fish, choose your own seafood, choose the way you want it cooked, and then just indulge. And walk after dinner. Look at that beautiful cathedral. And is this like Waldo's cousin's hat or something? As much as I love seafood, I don't really get full off it. So this gelato, this place is supposed to have good gelato. Half creme brulee, half cheesecake. This is a great way to end my night. See you tomorrow. Oh god, that's creepy as heck. Oh man, I'll be haunting my dreams later.
