I spent a couple days in Singapore, and of course, Singapore is one of my favorite countries to be in. But before I left to go on my Europe tour, I ate at a Michelin Star Dim Sum restaurant, and it was quite a fancy dim sum place. For my flight to Paris, I took a business class flight on Singapore Airlines and of course it's my favorite airline. #dimsum#michelinstar#singapore#singaporeairlines#singaporebusinessclass
Shake Shack for breakfast?
Sounds like a good idea.
A burger in a Shroom burger.
And then a smokestack with the bacon and the chili peppers.
Now I'm really happy I skipped breakfast.
I mean, this has everything you need for breakfast.
Vegetables, some lettuce, some mushrooms, some cheese for the calcium.
So much cheese in this burger.
Just drizzle some over my fries.
One of my favorite burgers at Shake Shack.
All right, this is getting a little filthy.
I'll see you guys in a little bit.
This is pretty nice.
Glass closet, safe, laundry bag.
Oh, bathroom is beautiful.
What's that?
Emery board.
Huh, didn't know it was called that.
Welcome to Shangri-La.
Wish you wonderful.
Awesome.
Oh, thank you so much.
Goodie bag.
Oh, what, what?
What is a pillow spray?
And then, oh yeah.
This could only be one thing.
Life is like a box of chocolates.
Oh, truffles too.
Oh my god.
Oh yeah.
I feel like I'm in the movie Crazy Rich Asian right now.
Beautiful view, beautiful hotel room.
Nice chocolate.
Well, the movie is much fancier, but still, that's fancy for me.
I never used a pillow spray.
It does smell better.
Doesn't this just look like a spice gadget drawer?
Everything you need for a proper snack.
Ooh, that is loaded.
And you get a fruit knife for the fruit.
Ooh, I love these.
Singapore malls are no joke.
They brought Venice to it.
Didn't really get a chance to spend a lot of time in Singapore.
Only about a couple of nights.
Heading off to Europe again.
Heading off to Paris today.
And what I've been doing with my time is trying out restaurants.
I wanted to come back and film for the food show.
There's a dim sum place that's supposed to be really, really amazing.
Some of the best dim sum I had in this country is definitely the
All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum Buffet at the St. Richard's.
But this dim sum restaurant is supposed to be absolutely amazing.
And I was lucky to, because I didn't have a reservation,
I was lucky to get a table.
I got the last table here.
Gotta order a lot.
This is definitely not your typical dim sum place.
Very, very luxurious.
This is the first item that was brought over.
I don't think this is something to order.
I think this is something that's just brought out to people.
Some chilies, garlic sitting on a cucumber.
I don't know what this is.
It looks like some sort of wonton.
Mmm.
Yeah, it's a wonton.
I couldn't really discern the filling.
It's vinegary.
It's soy sauce-y.
It's spicy.
It's garlicky.
This is very Chinese.
This dim sum place automatically brings this for you.
Three types of chilies.
This is my type of place.
This is the Sichuan dumpling.
This is a very interesting adaptation of hot oil with wontons.
Very fancy.
A lot of chilies, scallions.
A huge, huge wonton.
Mmm.
That's really spicy.
Really thin wonton wrapper.
Bouncy, flavorful shrimp filling.
Oh, the chili is really waking me up right now.
This is the turnip cake with XO sauce.
With some eggs.
Some Chinese sausage, it looks like.
Got some veggies in here.
Some sprouts, some leeks.
I was told you gotta add some sambal to it.
This smells incredible.
Oh wow.
Wow.
The turnip cake, crazy delicate.
I love the contrast in texture.
A little crunch from the sprouts, from the leeks, to that deliciously soft and gentle cake.
And the Chinese sausage is a beautiful addition.
It gives it a little slightly sweet, very smoky flavor.
I would say this is a must-get here.
Oh, that is beautiful.
Oh my gosh.
Like two little baskets.
This is the scallop dumpling.
Holy cow, look at how delicate this thing is.
Oh, I love how this place serves dumplings.
This is amazing.
This is the mango shrimp roll.
It's like a mummified spring roll with these thin fried noodles on the outside.
You dip it in this white sauce.
Mmm.
This is amazing.
Crazy crispy noodles on the outside, a little mango inside.
This is off the charts good.
I'm so happy right now so far.
Really never seen something like this before.
All right, definitely coming back here when I'm filming the food video.
Everything here is exquisitely prepared.
Flavors so nicely.
So pretty too.
First time eating abalone after Korea.
The bar is set really, really high.
Abalone won't ever taste as good as it was in Korea, but it was a great dim sum.
Gotta get some noodles.
Oh man, mind-blowing.
Probably the best thing I had today.
Oh, it's just amazing noodles.
This country, this country really does noodles right.
They're so smoky, a little crunchy.
I love the fattiness of the duck as well.
It's so good.
Dessert time.
Lemongrass jelly and almond milk and coconut.
You're supposed to scrape the coconut as well.
There we go.
Yeah, it's like a bread bowl except for it's a coconut bowl.
Lightly sweet, really creamy.
Very fragrant coconut flavor.
Fragrant coconut flavor.
Nice coconut and almond flavor too.
This whole thing just came out.
This would be really useful for King Kong when he needs a fan in the summer.
This is actually the first Shingrala in the world and it is a beautiful hotel.
A little waterfall, koi pond, turtles just chilling.
Nothing to do.
This lounge has a really cool afternoon tea time.
Scones, whatever that is.
Some spring rolls, cake, whatever that is that I have to have right away.
Oh, that's great.
Some macaroons, sandwiches.
Oh, this is awesome.
The daily afternoon thunderstorm.
I should really enjoy this.
I mean, this is just a torrential downpour.
It happens like once a day.
Thank you.
Bye.
Thank you.
Greatest hotel experience in Singapore by far.
So nice.
Sad to leave.
I forgot how much I missed this country.
But I'll definitely be back soon.
And a special thanks to everybody at Shingrala for making my stay as short as it was so incredibly welcoming.
I ran into another celebrity at the airport.
Hey, how are you doing?
Oh, he's a Singapore actor.
What's his name?
It's an experience every time I come to Singapore.
I love this country so much, especially people at that hotel.
As nice as the rooms were, the people were like, that's the star.
That's the highlight of that hotel.
Oh, by the way, that's the first Shingrala in the world.
Bottom line, can't wait to come back.
This is not half bad either.
Let's taste it like this.
Wow.
Wow, wow, wow, wow.
Duck breast is tender, really smoky.
Perfect amount of saltiness to contrast the sweetness of the melon.
Hopefully this is a deliciously good sign of what's to come.
Dish number two, braised beef with some cornbread pudding.
It all comes down to how tender the short rib is.
Oh, oh, the fork is sinking right in.
Singapore Airlines.
Wow, this is what I'm talking about right here.
Not only is it juicy and tender, this is a tasty bite of beef.
Cornbread pudding.
That's not bad as well.
The appetizer in this dish, I will order that on the ground.
This was a good choice.
Really, really good choice.
Saucy dish too.
Now I wish I got more bread.
This is from Book The Cook and this is a stuffed lobster.
Look at this.
Stuffed lobster tail.
Looks like some mushrooms on top.
It's not the prettiest looking thing.
But it is tasty.
It's really, that's how it matters.
This is awesome.
This is really, really good.
The rice, very fragrant, buttery.
You could basically eat that on its own.
The lobster, sweet and delicate.
On top of some sort of gravy with some vegetables inside, some mushrooms, herbs.
This is one of the best airline dishes I've ever had.
Finally, dessert.
Apricot Ricotta Cheesecake.
This entire meal, awesome.
Awesome.
Now, watch a little Terminator.
Take a little nap.
I think I'm gonna order some noodles.
I can't really sleep, so snack time.
This is a mushroom, cucumber, and cheese sandwich.
There.
Wow.
Spicy hornachelli noodles with minced chicken and fish cakes.
Cabbage, cheese, minced chicken.
Ooh, two types of noodles.
Vermicelli and regular ramen noodles.
It's the only noodle dish on the menu that's not instant noodle.
Actually, it looks really, really good.
I don't think noodles are as chewy as you would ideally like
for getting on an airplane.
This is really flavorful.
That's really not bad.
Especially like the fish balls.
That's a bounty.
Fish cake is good.
Chicken is nice.
I like the two different textures of the two different noodles.
You get more chew from the thick noodle
and the thin vermicelli soaks up more of the broth.
This is actually really, really nice.
This is the mushroom cheese sandwich.
Delicious food item on this flight.
Good flavor.
The mushroom is actually really good.
It's nice and a little sharp.
Oh, sure.
If you have mushroom.
Juicy.
Great flavor.
Perfect with that cheese.
Do a little dipping here.
You guys ever see a sandwich do a dive at 30,000 feet before?
Look at this.
That would not be missed.
That really hit the spot.
All right.
Well, nothing to do but watch a couple movies and wait for breakfast.
Breakfast is beef sausage, hash browns, tomatoes, and poached eggs with hollandaise sauce.
Oh my gosh.
Didn't expect it to be cooked so well.
That is a delicious poached egg.
Sausage is good.
Eggs cook perfectly.
Oh, hash browns.
Usually I try to stay away from eggs on airplanes, but this is oh so nice.
I like everything.
Hash browns are really flavorful.
Tomato, juicy.
Seriously, those eggs are marvelous.
I gotta say, most of the dishes I've had on the flight to Singapore and on the flight back,
delicious.
I have to rank it.
I think the short rib was my favorite.
Did the lobster tail be tied with the vermicelli fishball noodle soup?
Oh, also that mushroom beef sandwich.
That was insane.
I think the noodles I had on the flight to Singapore was a bit too salty.
Everything else, absolutely loved it.
Anyway guys, that's my review of Singapore Airline Business Class food.
Hopefully you enjoyed this video.
Thank you all so much for watching.
Until we eat again, see you later.
