Hi, I'm Amanda. Welcome to the second part of the tutorial about embossing.
If you haven't seen the first part, I'll leave you a link up here.
In today's video we're going to see how to emboss in cold.
As we said in the first part, embossing in cold can be done in two ways.
The first one is with a texturing machine, such as the CattleBag, the Texture Boutique or the Big Shot.
Let's go!
You'll need a folder for embossing like this one, cardboard and the texturing machine, which in this case is the Big Shot.
If you have the platform in multi-use, you have to open the two tabs like I'm doing now.
We place a cutting base on the platform, our embossing folder and the cardboard.
If you want to make a complete cardboard base like this one, you have to place it this way.
In my case, I'm going to emboss a piece of cut cardboard, so I place it inside the embossing folder.
We place the second cutting base and we press the button.
And as you can see, this is the result.
Let's go to the second way.
Embossing with embossing paste or modeling paste.
The first thing you have to know is that there is a difference between the two,
since the modeling paste is much heavier than the embossing paste, which is lighter and has a mousse texture.
We also need tools to spread the paste, but if you don't have them, you can use a credit card.
And finally, stencils or templates like these.
I'm going to use this one.
It is important that we fix the template very well.
You can do it with post-it or washi tape.
Once everything is well glued, we can apply our paste.
In this case, I'm going to use modeling paste.
We take a small amount and spread it well.
Without fear, but carefully.
And trying to leave a surface as smooth as possible.
Now we can take it off and we are going to do it very carefully.
I recommend that you grab a corner of the paper with your finger so that it does not go with the template.
And another very important thing is that while you let it dry,
clean your stencils or your templates.
Because the modeling paste, above all, sticks a lot and then there is no one to remove it.
And here you have the result once the paste has dried.
And the difference between the two types of embossing.
And now I'm going to tell you what I like the most about embossing paste or modeling paste.
And it is that it can be painted.
You can do it with any type of soluble ink.
I usually use stress inks, stress markers or, for example, gelatins.
And now we are going to see how to make a label with color embossing paste.
As you can see, in this case I am using embossing paste,
which is much lighter and much easier to clean because it does not stick as much as modeling paste.
But you should know that you can dye both equally.
You are going to see that the design of the card has changed a bit.
And that I have made several attempts until I was satisfied.
I have not wanted to remove it so that you can see that it is a normal thing.
And that many times we start with an idea and end up with a totally different one.
And this is the final result.
I hope you liked the tutorial and above all that it has served you.
And if so, click the like button and leave me a comment.
Thank you very much for watching the video and see you on Friday with another card.
Bye!
