We had a great time in Canon City at the Royal Gorge. While we stayed there we drove over Independence Pass to Aspen.

I'm Bill. I'm Kelly. And this is our adventure. This is our adventures. Here we go.
All right, we're here outside of Cannon City, Colorado, where the bridge was built in 1929,
and it's the highest. The owner decided to put his own everything and start building
It's 30 feet wide, about 1,258 feet long. It says it's 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River,
but I think people have ranged it since then, and it's around 955 feet. Still way up there.
There are all kinds of attractions here to do. You got a zip line, you got the gondola,
you got a sky coaster, and we're going to check out some of those things and let you know how
so stay tuned. Bill. Bill. Bill. What are you doing? Today is July 8th, and we are gonna head
over to Aspen. We are going to probably maybe do some hiking today, and for sure gonna get Aspen's
picture with the Aspen sign.
I'm glad I brought my jacket today. It was 61 when we left the camper. It's down to 53.
We are starting on Independence Pass. It's 44 miles through the mountain, and we'll end up in
Aspen. We're gonna stop at a few places to get out, just look around on the way. Wow, there's a
We're just south of Aspen, Colorado on Independence Pass,
right at the Continental Divide. If you've never been to Colorado,
it is some of the most beautiful country you'll ever see. Take a look.
Looks like the road is steering wheel. They couldn't get any more close together.
What'd you think of it, baby? I loved it. You had way more fun than me because you got to go
ziplining and swinging, but I watched the dogs. They're at eight o'clock in the morning,
which is what time the park opens, but that's the only thing that opens is the park. None of the
attractions, nothing else is open until 10 o'clock, but when you get there at eight o'clock, you do get
to see the wildlife because there was a ton of longhorn sheep, or longhorn ram, or whatever
you want to call it. What do you call it? I would call them a ram. Longhorn sheep
abundantly through the park. The dogs love seeing that. It was nice to see a lot of wildlife there
at the park. You can see when you get there early, but just note that nothing else opens
until 10 o'clock. The gondola, the zipline, the skycoaster. What was that thing we was going to
go see? The movies. The movies and all that. Nothing else opens until 10, so if you get there
at eight, you can walk around, but that's about all you can do. The zipline, I enjoyed the zipline.
It was great. You know, we're the highest zipline, I think, in the United States,
but the wait, the wait to go was very long. They didn't have it organized at all.
I was like 10 to 15 people back, and it took like an hour and a half
just for me to go, so it was a very long wait, but the ride was great. The skycoaster,
no wait at all. Walked up there, there was one person in front of me. They went,
a group of three, they went. After that, I was hooked up and went right away. If you paid a
zipline, it's $45. If you pay as a single person to skycoaster, it's $30, but you can do a combo
package for $65, which will save me $10, so just a little tip there. And our, when we went to Aspen,
we had a great time over the Independence Pass. We actually enjoyed the Independence Pass way
better than we did Aspen. We did go to the top, rode the gondola up to get Aspen's picture made
with the sun, and then came back down, and then we went right back to Independence Pass. The
weather did not cooperate. We got hailed on, but we had a great time. So tomorrow,
we get to go ziplining, extreme ziplining, and whitewater rafting. See you then!
