I went on a road trip to Toronto with my team, but before heading to the border, we stopped by Riverstone Grill to eat a 50oz steak! We ate so much this trip that I'm still feeling it a few days later. Also, I had a fan meeting that was tons of fun! Thank you guys so much for coming!
Hey, good morning. If you're wondering why it's so dark, well, in my house it's not as dark, but it is really dark out there.
Uh, it's 5.30 in the morning, and this weekend, we've been wanting to go to Toronto.
Like, I've been wanting to go to Toronto forever, because there's a lot of good food in Toronto.
And then when I brought it-
I'm gonna watch out not to knock your head on that.
And then when I brought it up, the rest of my team wanted to go as well.
So, we're gonna make this a Toronto food weekend.
So excited. Let's go pick them up.
If you guys can't see anything, I am outside my house.
This is what pitch black darkness feels like.
Well, I mean, there's a little light in the sky, but this is my house.
And it's all echo-y, and you can't see it, but there's a minivan right here.
I feel like such a dad.
I'm a little bit late, because for some reason, I took the wrong road.
I don't know. I've been driving here forever, and it's for some reason, I took the wrong road to get to the office.
What's creepier? The office or my house?
Tanya's from Canada.
Are you excited to see your hometown?
Did everybody bring their passports?
Because we kind of need that.
Everybody ready?
All right, let's go to Canada.
First thing in Canada, bite into a maple tree.
All right, I'm hungry.
So, let's drive.
This drive is so long.
So, we did realize we forgot some stuff.
We forgot our GPS.
We got everything now?
All right.
First stop, Riverstone Grill.
Gonna go eat a steak.
Yay.
I haven't been back here in so long.
Go, go, go, go, go.
Here, here it is.
This is my best friend right here.
Bone in the stone.
Whoa, it's 50 ounces now?
I could have swore it was only like 40 something.
I think this thing actually grew since the last time I saw it.
Add creamy and crumbly blue cheese.
Yes, you got to do that.
Top it off with onion straws.
Not really into that.
I'm not gonna do it.
But this is my thing.
This is my jam right here.
Start off with some chips just to whet the appetite before the main event.
It's like the previews right here.
Hey, babe, how is it?
It's good.
Good?
It's crunchy.
It has to be crunchy.
It's good.
Wow, thank you.
Whoa, how do you even carry this?
That's all right, I got you.
See, I don't carry it.
That is heavy.
I don't carry it.
Yo.
And you know what?
This is crazy.
This steak needs three knives to stay down.
Look at this.
This blaster.
And this is what it looks like with the blue cheese.
I prefer ones with blue cheese.
This plate on its own, I feel like this is a good...
At least 10 pounds.
Like, plate and all.
I feel like if I eat this, I get a good workout at the same time.
Truffle fries, the steak, garlic mashed potatoes.
Truffle fries are awesome.
Garlic mash, dig that.
This is like a reunion for me.
I don't know why, but every couple years I just happen to go into Toronto,
that I happen to drive to Toronto.
I always gotta stop by this place.
I think more people need to put blue cheese sauce on steak.
To me, right now, is when this trip really starts becoming fun.
I'm eating this.
Probably my favorite thing to do in Agra Falls.
They have to cook this in the oven because otherwise it's just too thick.
Look at this.
That looks good.
This piece, dip it in some blue cheese.
I love that blue cheese sauce.
Now, this isn't gonna be like a New York steakhouse piece of steak,
but for the value, like all this for 50 bucks for like a 50 ounce steak,
you can't beat that.
It's just a mountain of food.
Look at that.
Jasmine is so cool.
Like eating every little bit of it.
You could just gnaw on that.
It's like, no one's gonna judge you.
This is my workout of the day.
It's a little hard to pull open, but hey.
More effort.
No reward.
It's like a hands-on project, you know?
Get really intimate with your steak.
I'm facing the window, so no one's gonna judge me.
It's raining.
That's awesome.
This is like crazy rainstorm before Toronto.
I just want to say about that steak.
Look, it's not gonna be as good of a quality as a New York steakhouse.
I mentioned this.
But to me, it's just a really fun experience.
It's a 50 ounce steak.
That's three and a half pound steak, something like that.
And I love that creamy blue cheese sauce.
Also, people are super nice here.
I love coming here.
It's kind of like my steak custom whenever I go to Canada.
And yeah, I do feel like the taste of it, the quality of it changes every time I go.
Like I remember the last time I was here, it was really tender, really delicious.
But maybe that's because I had Kobe after that.
You know, Kobe beef really ruins a lot of things for you.
Day of food is not over.
I'm filming my first food video as soon as we get into Toronto.
It's raining.
I like this weather.
Let's keep going.
Far cry from the St. Regis, but not too bad.
Why, hello there.
Dusty, really dusty flowers.
So here's what's happening.
As you've just seen, I just ate a 50 ounce steak.
But my food day is not over because it's a pretty busy weekend.
I'm here in Toronto to film three food videos as well as participate in a meetup we're having tomorrow.
So right now, I'm just kind of trying to energize myself and just somehow force the hunger to come
to me because we're going out right now to film the first video, which is a Chinese food tour
of Toronto.
It's going to be a lot of places, a lot of good food.
And tomorrow morning, I'm heading to a dim sum place that I absolutely loved the last
time I was here.
And the thing I'm most excited about on this trip is what's happening Saturday afternoon.
I'm going to a seafood place.
It's like this crazy seafood place that supposedly has a mountain of lobster.
Yes, a lobster mountain.
So excited about that.
And finally, something else I'm excited about that doesn't relate to food is I'm having
a meetup right after that.
This is a crazy weekend in Toronto because the Invictus Games are here.
So I guess the Prince Harry's here and Meghan Markle, who I absolutely love from Suits.
And there's some kind of YouTuber convention here.
I didn't even know that was a thing until like yesterday.
And then there's some like art festival going on.
So Toronto is going to be packed and it's going to be a really busy food filled few
days for me.
But I'm really excited.
So let's go get some Chinese food.
This is unbelievable.
It's 1am.
Just got back to the hotel after finishing the last video shoot.
We finished at 1030.
Now, the reason I'm here at 1am is because, well, it's because of traffic.
This is worse than New York City traffic.
11 o'clock at night on a Friday and just bumper to bumper traffic for about an hour.
I gotta go to bed.
I'll see you in the morning.
Good morning.
This is the location of our first video in a really popular dim sum spot in Toronto.
This is the first time I've been to a dim sum place before it's open and it's already
a line.
It's still half an hour before it opens.
It's already a huge line.
You guys ever been here before?
No.
From my recollection, this dim sum is like giantified.
It's a giant dim sum.
It's a jimsum.
The line just got crazier.
I think this is going to be a good place.
Just finished filming the dim sum video.
I got about three hours until the next video and it's going to be Lobster Mountain.
I'm mounting a lobster and I think I'm going to go run for like four miles before that
because I don't know how else I'm going to eat it.
But it's going to happen.
It will happen.
I have the tiger.
I have the lobster.
I don't know.
A few hours to kill before lobster.
So I thought I'd walk around, you know, burn off some dim sum.
Last place we're filming a food video and as soon as we walk in, we see that.
Can we eat that?
Lobster video is over.
I've got to go to the meetup.
I think we're a little late.
Gotta go.
We're trying to get to the meetup.
All the streets are blocked.
But we brought lobster.
Hey, say hi guys.
Finally here.
Sorry I was late.
Meetup just ended.
Bye bye Toronto.
They were taking pictures for the Invictus Games over there.
I heard Prince Harry was around.
That would have been fun.
Never saw like Prince before.
I mean, I saw, you know, Prince the singer.
Prince like Britain.
You guys ready to karaoke?
Let's get some jiggly cheesecake.
Maid cafe.
This is a maid.
Hi.
And then we're gonna sit here.
That's cute.
Curry rice.
Yoshi soba.
I think I need this.
Japanese cream soda.
It's jiggly cheesecake.
Can we jiggle this?
That's not jiggly.
I think it's tired.
I think it's sleepy.
Can we eat it?
All right, let's try this.
Oh, it is really soft.
Wow, I felt like I just ate a cloud made of cheese and sugar.
That's good.
It is gentle.
It's like being hugged by cotton.
Tastes really good.
The Japanese alien root beer float thingy with ice cream is pretty good.
Let me try the soda.
Soda's not sweet at all.
It's whoa, whoa, something's happening.
It's like foaming at the mouth.
It's weird.
What the heck is, what is, why?
Why is this happening?
That's weird.
Is that supposed to happen?
Every time you sip it, it erupts.
That's weird.
And the soda doesn't really taste like anything.
It's not that sweet.
It's a little melon-y, but that's about it.
It's erupting again.
I don't know how this is happening, really.
I mean, I failed chemistry, so.
All right, it's happening.
All right, I ate the heck out of this topping.
Let's see if it erupts again.
There's something inside.
What is, what is this?
How is this strawberry?
This cafe's kind of nice.
I'm having way more fun here than I did at the Japanese cafe,
where I couldn't really understand what they were talking about.
And what I paid over there kind of equates to like my drink in the cheesecake.
You used to watch me on YouTube.
Not anymore, though.
So let me, oh yeah, which is never, like I never watch you.
Crystal, let me ask you something.
Why does this erupt every time I take a sip?
Why does it like bubble up every time I take a sip?
Oh, the ice cream and the soda?
Oh, I see.
Because soda is acidic, ice cream's a lot of calcium.
It's like putting Mentos in Coke.
Oh, yeah, okay, that's a big secret.
I'm just stupid.
So yeah, that explains it.
Thank you.
Okay, sorry I didn't update you guys what happened after karaoke,
because it was just kind of a blur,
and there was a lot of board games involved.
And this has been a really fun Toronto trip.
Now I gotta go.
But before I go, I gotta get some poutine.
Last meal in Toronto, and this is probably the most common poutine place.
I've heard that Toronto is not the best place for poutine.
It's actually Montreal.
Well, I'm not in Montreal, and I really want some poutine.
Also, there's a place called Nom Nom Poutine.
I heard that's really good, but it's closed on Sundays.
So this is it.
Oh, Thanksgiving poutine.
I've been here before, and I always got the wow,
because, you know, go big or go home, right?
I had a ton of poutine.
Like, it looked like a lot, but then you start eating,
you're like, it's pretty good.
I can, I feel like I could keep doing this.
Even though you shouldn't, you just do it.
Now I gotta go drive seven and a half hours over a waterfall.
You guys ready to go back to America?
Ready to go home to Middletown.
Well, we're going to Niagara first.
See you there.
I haven't been here since the regrettable Niagara Falls trip of 2005.
One of the worst vacations I ever took.
We've all been here before.
This one is really excited.
This girl here, you can see she's like, you know, just hops, hopping along.
She's really excited.
Never been here before.
Usually when I'm in Niagara Falls, I'm just really excited about the buffet.
But since I already had like, you know, a ton of poutine,
I'm not really excited about much.
I mean, the first look is always great.
It's always beautiful.
There it is, honeymoon capital of the world, Niagara Falls.
And the Canadian side is supposed to have the better view.
So here we are.
And you guys probably can't see, but over there, right around there,
you can actually go behind the waterfall.
I did that.
And there's the Maid of the Mist, a little boat ride you can take
that takes you right into the falls.
Jen's first time in Niagara Falls.
What do you think?
It's awesome.
It's everything you hope for?
Yes.
Oh, rainbow.
I don't know why, but every time I see a rainbow, I want to go to Lucky Charms.
You want, anybody want to go swimming?
Only if you go first.
I don't know.
