Cooking and Eating in Bangkok Thailand

Good morning, it's 7 a.m. Dragged myself out of bed because we are gonna go eat some street food breakfast Back in the hotel after the crazy steaming film session over at the breakfast street market My next film location, I'm really excited about this because it's the first time I'm filming something That's actually indoors and I'm not talking about indoors where yeah, there's a roof over my head But you know, there's still no wall and there's still no air conditioning I'm gonna be filming at a hotel. This place is called Novotel. It's a really nice hotel here in Bangkok I'm not staying there, but there's a chef there and he's gonna teach me how to make some pad thai. So excited I don't know whether I'm really excited about making pad thai or that I'm gonna be eating pad thai Probably the latter and they're sending a car to pick me up. So air-conditioning the whole way. I'm really excited about that Got to the hotel. I think the total distance travel is around three miles and it took an hour and a half I fell asleep in the taxi at the restaurant How's your lunch buffet? It's good? Yeah. I'm really excited about the buffet. Whenever I hear about buffet, I feel really passionate Mike nice to meet you. This is Ab. He's gonna teach me how to make pad thai today. I'm excited How long have you been cooking? Around 10 years. 10 years So you can make a good pad thai I'm sure I made pad thai once and I literally couldn't eat it right after I made it because it was just horrendous So I'm really excited to learn from you Cook my plate of pad thai. If you guys want to see how I made this check out the strictly dumpling channel I think it tastes pretty good. I like this One of the best restaurants in Thailand Can not wait. Oh Air conditioning, air conditioning. I don't know what I'm more excited about Delicious food with the fact that finally in a restaurant that's indoors Air-conditioned. Just ordered like six dishes. So excited. This is like my first restaurant supposedly this restaurant is one of the most authentic in Thailand and Man, and I can sit here and not in the heat and really enjoy this without you know, sweating over my food That's the best part. Apparently at this restaurant the owner Is the only chef. He's the only one that cooks the food. That's why although there's so many tables here He cooks everything. So sometimes you order your stuff and it won't come for like 2-3 hours Because well, there's only one guy cooking. I got lucky because I'm here at like 430. It's really awkward dinner time But man, I don't have to wait It reminds me of the Farrah's Pizza in Brooklyn, New York. One of the best pizza places in New York and the owner He's the only one that makes the pizza So that's why when you go there, it's always a two-hour wait because he's the only one making the pizzas Good meal, you know what? I'm really excited about today is that I get to I'm done filming today I'm just gonna go home go to the gym finally and work out some of this delicious food I've been stuffing my face with over the last couple of days and there's good food everywhere Look, I'm just walking around in this neighborhood. It is like random food vendors behind me cooking up deliciousness And it's like surrounded by food all the time This is this is like my heaven This is how this is how I want my life to be just constantly surrounded by good food wherever I go Wherever I live it's just food everywhere. Hey food over there food Everywhere food. Cat just just laying here prostrating himself in front of a 7-eleven doorway. What up, buddy? Are you I mean do we have a pay a toll here or let me just step over this cat Maybe it may be a too much. It's just I mean, can you move? I think the heat finally broke this cat One pet time Well, that was a very harrowing experience riding on that cab that cab driver I mean kudos to him He definitely knows what he's doing But almost driving on the sidewalk kind of scares me a little finally home long day going to the gym going to bed Good night
