Can We Survive Shipwreck Island?

So my plan is I want to explore this shipwreck below by swimming in it and checking all out. And then go up and see if I can find an access point and actually take you guys up on there. We're going to be spending overnight on this island behind us there. We bring no food so we either go fishing, diving to catch our food and do a cook later on. Easy to fill it and one of the tastiest fish ever. That blade broke it down. It's so much cooler than I remember. It's huge. There's a ladder there but it's that dodgy and old that we just end up tumbling in the water. So we're trying to find a little access here. So far solid. You want? All right cheers dad. Wow look at this. Away we go. Ah this way I guess. As soon as I step foot on that or anywhere here I'm going straight in the drink down there. We're gonna have to try and go another way but look at that. Look how crazy that is. If it breaks I'm just gonna fall on these barnacles. So I thought you better commit. Reverse dad reverse. Wow look at this. It is so, oh that's so touch and go. One wrong foot but that's all it takes. Oh Jacko's coming up. The dad bod. I just looked in one of those holes down there and literally it's this fine little tiny sheet of rusting metal. That's stopping me and you from falling. I'm going to take this moment just to say do not do as I do and it's not the smartest decision so just my word of advice. Stepping in we're going for an explore in here. Whoa wow. The sound and the echo. This is awesome Jacko. It's pretty solid here. Careful I might be a bit stuck. I don't like that big creaking noise. Let's go see if we can catch something for dinner hey Jacko. Get out of here. Still got sunset, camping. We've got to catch something and I'm pretty sure I want to do it under that ship. There should be some trout, blue bone, cod or anything under that a little bit later on even tomorrow and then we've got to cook up a feed. But for now let's start steaming towards those islands in the distance over there and go exploring. Oh righto. So this beach is a little bit of a special one. Yeah about 100 kids. Yep and we camped over there all down there. Yep. See there's a flat rock over there. Is that flat rock? Yeah. We decided that was going to be where we had a kitchen. Yep. We built this thing in front of you. Oh. And then over there just at sunset when you look across there now check out that face. Oh there is a full face there. You see that's the nose there and then the mouth. So many many many moons ago when Jackson was in year seven they came to this island here. Got his initials somewhere here. Oh JM. They keep moving keep them going on our adventure. That was awesome. We might even be getting in after dark if we have to limp back from here so we'll quickly get into this and we'll keep you guys up to date. That's bloody broken down. He's done something. Oh got it. A big strap. Hold it up. Just look at that. We got it. That's held us up a lot longer than what we wanted. That sun is almost going over my shoulder here. We got a long punch back to shipwreck island so we're gonna go and hopefully I see you guys before the sun goes down. If not we'll be pulling up in the dark. That sun is just holding on for dear life. Jackson's coming in the background there and we're still sending it. An eventful night last night. Things got a little bit worse with Dad's ski. We got in here a bit of maintenance early this morning. We're on the other side of the shipwreck. You can just see it right there. So we ended up camping on this beautiful sandy beach. We're gonna punch around the other side. There she is. We just pulled up from the wind behind this rock wall here. Got the kitchen all set up ready to go but the one thing is we don't have any food so we're gonna suit up now go for a dive on the wreck and fingers crossed we can get some dinner. Whoa, that whole thing is gonna fall. I just came face to face with a Queensland grouper. It was right there. I didn't expect it in the dark. It turned its tail and went in. This light's awesome Dad. Yeah, it scared the shit out of me though. This is the first time I've ever seen a crown of thorns. This is a coral killer. They go around, they eat all the reefs. Ah, it's spiking me. Ah yeah, you bugger. Threw my glove. You little bugger. Are they poisonous? I think they've got a toxin. Excellent. Perfect. Nausea, extreme pain, swelling, bleeding, all that good stuff that can last up to three hours. So right now my hand's very very on fire. I mean I've been stung by heaps of stuff like that now so we're good to go. Let's keep this show going. Oh we got dinner baby. We got dinner. The wreck provides. Thank you baby. No way that worked. Successful hunt, a beautiful coral trout. Around here we've noted that they're a lot more darker in the shallows. The previous ones we've caught out wide, they're super orange and vibrant but still a beautiful tasting fish. One of my favourites. I'm just going to quickly get into this because we are starving. Just start behind the fin there. Make a cut along up the skull towards the eye. This is just the way that I do it. You guys can do whatever you're comfortable with. I like to work my way back along the frame of the fish as you guys know. Look how beautiful and white that flesh is. Oh that's such a good looking fish. Coral Trout are so so nice. Beautiful looking, easy to fillet and one of the tastiest fish ever. You kind of shushed about him didn't you? Put him straight to sleep. I go up and over and push down and again run along. When you get to the tail here, blade straight through there and run it along till you kick out the knife. Careful you don't cut anyone. All right over the ribs, a couple of cheeky cuts there. Cut through the skin, over all that. Beautiful white fresh coral trout fillet. I'm going to take the other side off and we're going to get this guy straight on the barbecue. We got fire baby. I'm so keen to get into this trout. Shipwreck in the background. We are on. Oh my god it smells so good already. Good? Perfect. Oh man that's good. We're gonna get out of here.
