Sergio Fiorentino Recording Session Berlin 1994

These are the first 30 Minutes from the very first recording session of Sergio Fiorentino in Berlin, Siemens-Villa, 8 October 1994.
He started with a longer try-out of the piano in the way he always used to do, followed by a listen of the recorded sound in a small room next door where tone engineer (and splendid pianist himself!) Siegfried Schubert-Weber (the smallish stout man in the video) had set up his recording machinery.
Coming back Fiorentino starts with the first take of Prokofiev's 8th Sonata. The video stops a few minutes before he finished that movement.
The complete programme of recordings finished on that day from 10 to 16:30 h, and the next day from 10 to 12:30 h comprised Prokofiev 8th Sonata / Scriabin 2nd Sonata / Franck Prelude, Choral & Fugue / Rachmaninoff 2nd Sonata / Chopin 2nd Sonata and Schubert B-Flat Sonata.
There was a one-hour intermission on the first day for a meal at a nearby pizzeria...
