Seems pretty typical but nothing is going as planned.
We just got the RV over here to Harbortown Marina. Just Cats is going to
help us remove the technology. The downside is as soon as we pulled in
we're supposed to have clearance to stay here with the RV for a couple days.
They said basically no RVs almost ever so we're lucky we're
lucky we can use the RV and leave it here
right now we're moving the rest of our stuff off.
So needless to say it is going to be a crazy
hot sweaty day in Florida.
That was a close one.
Time to get dirty. This is Raf. Raf you're gonna help us take all this
crap out of here right? Absolutely. It's wonderful crap. He's uh you
know electronics what solar it's super super duper guy. Pretends to know it
all. Knows it all. Know it all. Solar off.
Uh BMS off. Oh correct. Well actually well actually
no that's fine it's not she's not generally not running anything so I was
worried about the charger. Oh so you're good.
Yeah turn that off so we're not inverting or drawing so you want the
batteries no input output or anything. I have a full battery disconnect over here.
Okay. Main and auxiliary batteries are all off.
Everything's off. Dead. Might want to put a multimeter to it though.
Um gotta get my tools. Yeah. That would help.
Yeah. All good. All good. Okay. Switch back to
AC and check your AC inputs. Okay. Zero. Yep. Zero. Sounds good. Zero. Okay cool.
It's always good for peace of mind to check. All right.
Oh you made it. Got all that crap out.
Nice work. We have one gently used Magnum 3000 watt hybrid inverter
for sale. Come pick it up now. Woo woo. Fire sale. Fire sale.
But it's such a good little inverter. We should keep it.
Lost a shade. Almost forgot to bring it in.
Oops. Oops. All right now we're allowed to take the batteries out.
Close the vent fans. I'm looking forward to never having to take these off again.
It's nice to tilt but it is a pain in the booty.
Oh baby it's hot. All right. Surprisingly easy to unclip. Last one. Okay.
The Pacific. Like the islands like Bali and stuff like that.
Thank you. Here we are. Taking off all the technology and then the canvas guy comes by.
So of course naturally I had to get him to come over and measure
so we could find out about getting our lazy bag repaired because the zipper's broken.
And getting a shade structure for the sides. Yeah. Yep.
Carefully. That was fun wasn't it?
All right honey how are we coming along? Battery's out.
Charge controller. Outback charge controller just came out. Working on the BMS, the AGS,
BMK and AGS. And whatever else we can strip off this baby. It's ours. It's technically it's all
ours. Taking it all. Taking all the technology parts. Working up a thirst. I'm drooling all
over myself. I know. We've got spare hands over here. Pretty much just taking over all the crew
from just gas. I should just have a beer. Yes please. All right and now look at that. Dirty
knees. Skinny legs and dirty knees. And now I'm the water boy. I got demoted.
All right she's almost clean but we can't forget the most important one. All right I'm gonna get
on it. That's it. It's an easy one. I can just remove it. No problem. Well I've got good news
bad news. Good news is everything is off of the RV and out of the RV and I have one hour to get it
clean before the driver comes and picks it up to take it from here to Indiana. The bad news is
everything that was left in the RV is now on the back of the boat. It's also all stuff we don't
really need anymore and it needs to go fast. It's got a lot of work. A lot of work. Okay I'm gonna
Don't show them the boat. The boat looks bad. Real bad. Okay I'll show you the boat.
Okay I'll show you the boat. Look at that. Oh my god. Holy mackerel. I can't believe he showed
him the boat. It looks terrible. We look like hoarders out there right now. Pitiful. Most of
it's all going. No more crap. Well it's not crap. We used it. It's just a different life. Yeah.
Hello baby. All right I'm gonna go work on the tow hitch. All right good luck.
Obviously we won't need the tow bar. That's gonna go too. All right I think it's the last thing.
Need more tools. Tell you what. Residential refrigerators use a lot of energy but they also
hold a lot of stuff. You can actually keep ice cream and I'm gonna kind of miss having a
residential refrigerator because that thing that's on the boat frosts over, doesn't hold
temperature and most certainly does not keep ice cream hard. That is going to be a problem
because you know ice cream. Priorities. This is gonna be heavy.
Holy mackerel I'm worn out. What a day. I went up to the Just Cats office because I had
an Amazon package to pick up and they said you have a gift back here and I thought a gift back
here. From who? Sure enough I go back there and there's this with only a note that says Nikki and
Jason. Congratulations Kim and Dan and I don't know who Kim and Dan are. I've racked my brain
but things have been so crazy. If I met somebody briefly or I don't know if somebody just knew that
we were here and decided to buy us a bottle of celebratory bubbly for the renaming ceremony. I'm
not sure but Kim and Dan whoever you are thank you. Incredibly nice. Blows my mind
how awesome people are and obviously it was one of you so thank you. Right? Yes.
Freedom acts of kindness. Awesome. If we had room in the fridge we would chill it right now.
But we don't. All right you saw the residential refrigerator and the RV that is now nice and
clean but what you have not seen is the inside of this refrigerator which now houses everything
that's in that refrigerator. So since you've already seen all my other crap all over the boat
and all the I need to take care of I thought why leave this out of line so I'll show you what it
really looks like too. Here we go. You're not gonna like this and I'm sure I'm gonna get all
Look at that. That is pitiful. Oh man. These refrigerators may not be the most efficient
things in the entire world but they're not terrible. They most certainly don't work
when you cram them full of stuff like that. It's a good some eating and drinking to do
after I put away all of our stuff. Sell our stuff. Donate our stuff. Give it away.
Whatever. Thank you so much for coming. Yeah you guys. Thank you. Well drivers are here. She's about to
pull away. That will be all she wrote. Yep. No more RV for us for a little bit. I know it's uh
it's funny because people keep asking if we're sad. Yeah. I'm not sad not even in the slightest
but not because I won't miss some of the things about the lifestyle and RVing. Like
yeah we loved RVing and the places we were able to wild camp and all that. It's been a blast.
Yeah but we're ready for the new adventure and we can always rent an RV and have the same
similar experience. Exactly yeah and you know we know there's plenty of exploring to be done.
Plenty by water. Hopefully it starts. We did remove the batteries. And a lot of electrical things.
I was gonna stay and wave goodbye to the Bounder but the no-see-ums are so terrible here. I cannot
wait out here any longer. So I'm going in and so are you. Drug addict. Yeah I have not been doing drugs
I promise. I said we're going in. Okay yeah it's bit me. Bye Bounder. Bye. Got one in the eye.
Oh now they pull off of course. We've already been annihilated. Bye Bounder. Okay get in quick.
Connections go. Nicely labeled already. Yeah. That's fantastic. Looks like you know what
you're doing. Well no Sam rented it. Sam's the owner. Oh no no take credit. Oh yeah I did. Oh
okay that was very nice very clean.
