Today I am at arguably the best pizzeria in New York City.
The Farrah's Pizza.
I've been in New York for 10 years.
I've never been here.
I've always had a place.
I always went to Grimaldi's because I thought that was like really good pizza.
Now like they're horrible.
Like their pizza is like bland and tasteless.
So I of course researched online endlessly for the best pizza place in New York City.
And this is like out of all the lists this is always at the top.
So this is in Brooklyn.
I don't even know where I am right now.
I'm somewhere in Brooklyn and I got here 10 minutes before this place closed.
This place closes at 8 o'clock on a Friday.
I got here at 7.50.
The owner of the place is Dominic DeFerra and he's been cooking up pizza for like 40 years.
And from what I have read he works seven days a week, 11 hours a day.
He's the only guy making the pizzas.
I was reading online people were like okay it's a two-hour wait.
Because once you get inside it's a slow process because he's the only guy making pizzas.
There's him right now making the pizzas.
But all the reviews said it'll be the most worth it wait of your lives
because the pizza tastes that amazing.
So I walked in here with my friend Peyfin.
Hello.
Because yeah I can't eat a whole large pie myself.
So we got in here and it was not that crowded.
So I'm like yeah we missed a wait.
It's awesome.
No we haven't.
We've been waiting for an hour and 10 minutes already.
We're starving.
This is the face of a starving people right here.
This is it.
This is the grand altar of all pizzerias in New York City.
This is supposed to be the best pizza in New York.
So both our expectations are extremely extremely high.
I feel so weak right now.
I'm filming this with my phone.
I can barely hold my phone.
It's like so heavy.
I need some pizza.
I'm so excited about this.
And you can't tell I'm excited because this is my hungry face right now.
Hungry waiting face.
And I got the specialty pizza.
I got like basically everything.
So my pizza is mushrooms.
No wait.
No idea.
I forgot like what I ordered.
Some classic pie and I added pepperoni.
Because you gotta have pepperoni.
That's got to be a part of any pizza.
You gotta eat pepperoni.
When I sat down I saw this article and I thought Zhang Ziyi ate here.
But no she's just on the cover.
But Zhang Ziyi come on.
Try some New York pizza man.
My pizza has just arrived.
And sprinkled on fresh basil.
And now they're cutting it with expert precision.
Look at that.
Oh I smell it.
Oh my god I smell it.
It's awesome.
That's why you gotta have pepperoni.
Something about like pepperoni that it curves makes it the best pepperoni.
I don't know why.
Why is that?
You know how like almost pizza pepperoni doesn't curve?
Because they buy it pre-packaged.
Yeah.
We slice it thick from the packaging.
And that's why they curve.
Did you guys see that?
That's what pepperoni is supposed to look like.
If you buy it from Domino's they're just flat.
You want flat pepperoni?
You want curves.
Curves on pepperoni.
Fresh olive oil.
Is that parmesan?
So this has onions and look at sausage.
Yeah okay I'm gonna stop talking.
I'm gonna drip like saliva all over this pizza.
I'm gonna ruin it.
So we have the pizza at our table.
Let's take another grand look at it.
Oh my god.
Look at that.
Okay.
This is how aerial shots of pizza should be like.
Look at this.
This is better than National Geographic aerial shots of like the Grand Canyon.
Here we go.
The moment we've been waiting for for oh so long.
Here we go.
I'm gonna show you guys a New York way of eating pizza all right.
See you gotta fold the pizza.
You fold it.
Did you know that?
You have to fold the pizza.
Fold it like that.
Then you take a bite.
If I died and went to pizza heaven this is what they serve in pizza heaven.
You know I love this pizza.
Oh this is amazing.
Isn't this much better than that Grimaldi's place?
Oh my god so much better.
I got the classic so I had some onion and green peppers.
I'm glad I did that because that balances out the pizza really really well.
You know how like usually you bite into a piece of pizza and it's all nasty grease?
This is like lovely grease.
Lovely oil.
That's splurging into your mouth.
That's awesome.
How awesome is this pizza?
I've had five pizza moments in my whole life.
First time was uh my first time eating pizza.
I came to the U.S. when I was eight.
My mom wouldn't buy me pizza because she was like that's that's that's nasty.
White people we can't eat that.
First time I had pizza was a Domino's pizza.
It was the most delicious thing I've ever had in my life because I'm like
what is this lovely thing I've been missing forever and that was beautiful.
A Domino's pizza.
I never had pizza before.
That's my first pizza.
Second pizza moment was when I went to Chicago for the first time
and had Chicago deep dish which was amazing.
Third pizza moment I was starving in my college
and I splurged for a Pizza Hut meat lover's pizza.
For some reason that was just freaking insanely good.
That's probably not that good.
It's probably because I was starving and I could never afford Pizza Hut.
Fourth moment was moved to New York.
I had New York pizza for the first time and that was really good
because I never had like fresh cheese.
Like I told you like that pepperoni thing you know.
I was eating flat pepperoni my whole life.
And this treasure this moment.
This is my fifth pizza moment.
You guys gotta try this if you ever come to New York.
Just uh you know prepare to wait but it's worth the wait.
Was it worth the wait for you?
Yeah.
Look at the olive oil.
Look at that.
I'm gonna show you guys.
Here's a close look at the pizza.
All that covered is not bad grease.
That's olive oil.
It's delicious.
I never took a bite of pizza before in my life that as soon as I bite down
my mouth is filled with like olive oil and that's not a bad thing.
It's a good thing.
It's a wonderful thing.
Love pepperoni.
Favorite thing in the world.
If you have pizza you gotta have pepperoni.
Like how do you do without pepperoni?
I don't understand.
How do you live like that?
Everything just works so well.
She's like just munching down.
He's like shut up.
Let me just eat.
This is what I call a true centerfold.
It's funny.
Centerfold, yeah?
This is what a centerfold should be like.
I'm totally messing this up.
Pretend it's coming to your mouth right now.
I've got something that'll make this even better.
Oh, red pepper.
Spicy pizza is better than regular pizza.
Always.
The problem with these things is they don't come out very, you know,
because the pepper flakes are big so they don't come out that fast.
Let me teach you guys a simple solution to solve this, okay?
There you go.
Now, now we're talking.
Now we've got spicy pizza.
Put some red pepper on your pizza.
Oh, that's the best thing.
This is perfect now.
It's perfect.
What else do you need?
That's how much red pepper you need to have on your slice of pizza.
You want people to ask you, do you want some pizza on your pepper?
That's how much pepper you should have.
My slice of pizza is falling because of the weight of the pepperoni.
Is that like a hashtag pizza problem?
My last bit of pizza, but check it out.
I have the crust and I have a little pepperoni.
So now what you can do is make a little crust pepperoni sandwich.
And don't think that crust pepperoni sandwich was just by accident.
That was by design.
That's calculated.
That's how you eat the crust.
You take a little pepperoni or whatever it meets on the pizza.
Make a little sandwich afterwards.
That's like pizza strategy right there.
Zhang Ziyi, you're missing out.
You were like so close.
You guys ever had this food regret where your whole life you've lived in a town
and you didn't know that there's the spot that existed that made the best food
and you never had it, but you could have had it.
That's how I'm feeling right now.
Like I could have, I could have ate this like starting from 10 years ago.
Maybe I would have been a lot bigger by now.
I could have had that.
But no, I didn't.
I ate like other stuff.
I think from this day forth, I'm just going to eat here every day.
Maybe that'd be a little too much.
Too much pizza.
I have to like work out more.
This is a gym.
So if you want pizza in New York City, come check this place out.
And she's just like the whole time just stuffing her face.
It's like whatever.
I'm just going to keep eating pizza.
All right, guys.
Thanks for watching.
Subscribe, please.
All right, I'll see you later.
Bye.
