Donald Glover, who is known as the multi-talented actor, singer, rapper, comedian, writer, producer and director, is probably best known as performing his music under the stage name Childish Gambino. Glover recently snagged a major modern real estate upgrade in Flintridge for $4.2 million. Mr. Glover and his longtime girlfriend Michelle White now have two young Gambinos of their own so it makes sense that they'd want to upsize their living situation. And with the cash rolling in, this new luxurious home was well worth the investment. Coincidentally, the new dig lies on the exact street of Glover's old home. We'll take a look at Glover's massive, almost 7,000 square foot modern home, designed perfectly by acclaimed architects. This place is massive, so it's definitely the perfect place for growing a family. The multi-talented star has already made a lucrative career, earning a net worth of $35 million. At the age of 23, Glover got his first big break as he was hired by Tina Fey as a writer for the NBC sitcom, 30 Rock. He later rose to fame from portraying college student Troy Barnes on the NBC sitcom Community that ran from 2009 to 2014. However it was only recently where his career really began to take off and began rolling in the cash. Between September 2018 and September 2019, Donald Glover earned more than $30 million from his various entertainment endeavors. That was actually enough to make him one of the most highest paid entertainers in the world during that period. On top of the money he makes with his acting and music career, Glover has supported several brands throughout his career. He featured in the 2010 holiday advertising campaign for Gap. In partnership with Adidas, Glover reimagined three pairs of classic Adidas sneakers and released them in April 2019 as the Donald Glover Presents line. Now with Donald Glover's career taking off and all the money rolling in, Glover recently forked out nearly $4.2 million for his new beautiful La Canada Flintridge home. Glover obviously loved the area because as previously stated, the new place actually lies on the very same hillside streets as the old house, just a half mile down the winding road. This massive two story compound was originally built in 1983 and this lovely modern home was designed by acclaimed architects Buff and Hensman. The lavish abode is fused almost entirely from concrete and glass which gives the outside spectacular views. Now as remarkable as the outside looks, do not let the inside of the dig fool you because those soaring walls feature a whopping 6,800 square feet of living space. Now while the La Canada house is very large, it remains discreet from the street in front. The mansion is tucked back at the end of a long driveway and surrounded by a dense canopy of mature oak trees which adds to the stunning appearance. This is a perfect step for Glover and White who are committed to living their private lifestyle. Now while the house itself is enormous, the property itself is also massive as it spans over a whopping 4 acres of land. As soon as you enter the luxurious mansion, the sights of the interior are truly a thing of beauty. Some features of the main rooms include double height ceilings, brownish tile floors and slab sided walls with a world class contemporary art collection. While the inside provides a spacious living space, the rooms get a splash of personality with the elegant art collection. And let me tell you, the feature that takes the cake are the enormous glass windows. They are really stunning. With 6 beds and 7 baths, the structure has plenty of space for guests and potential for a growing family. The mansion comes complete with an elegant dining room, family room and giant wet bar for those that fancy a chardonnay. The mansion suite is probably one of the more lavish and relaxing rooms in the house as it features a bedroom sitting area, access to a private outdoor terrace, a walk in closet and bathroom with a built in soaking tub. I would have a hard time choosing between relaxing in the outdoor terrace or the soaking tub. Probably the coolest features are found in the backyard as the mansion boasts its lovely outdoor loggia overlooking the forested property. Spanning over 4 acres of property, there are numerous outdoor living spaces scattered throughout the multi-acre estate. Family and guests have the option of dining by the gardens, sunbathing on the concrete terrace or sipping champagne by the oversized pool. I mean, obviously the kids won't be able to sip the champagne until they are of age, right? For those lucky enough to visit the mansion, they will be able to catch a breathtaking view of a nearby mid-century ranch or if you turn your head the other way and catch views of the Angeles National Forest and its magnificent mountains. Along with the huge outdoor terrace and oversized pool, the backyard comes with a built-in fire pit perfect for family gatherings. I'm actually kind of sad to find out that as amazing as this home is, Glover does not have a basement at the residence. I figured maybe you could set up a recording studio there to work on future projects. You'll be happy to know that Glover's massive compound also comes complete with three parking spaces plus a garage because we all know how much Glover likes his whips. We're willing to bet that he parked his favorite whip, a wonderful Mercedes Benz 600 with a price tag of a little bit over $190,000. It appears that Laconata Flint Ridge is prime real estate because the house was originally purchased by Glover for $4.2 million in 2018 and within two years, the property has increased to nearly $5 million.
