While some years ago, R&B singer turned reality TV star Toni Braxton filed for bankruptcy twice – once in 1998 and again in 2011 - it doesn’t mean she didn’t have the dough to re-spend after that. She lost a few of her homes to foreclosure including one in Nevada, and one in Atlanta, but then purchased another $ 3 million pad in Calabasas in 2014. We’ll check out a few properties that Ms. Toni Braxton has called home over the years – we even found some of the listings. Toni Michele Braxton is a singer, songwriter, record producer, TV personality, and more who has sold over 70 million records worldwide as of this year. She’s one of the highest-selling female R&B artists in history, who’s also won 7 Grammy awards and numerous other accolades. She started her career in the late 1980s, performing with her sisters in a music group called the Braxtons – and they were signed to Arista Records. By the 90s, she was working on her solo career releasing her debut studio album in 1993, which was a hit. Aside from her continued success in the music industry over the years, she’s also a TV executive producer and personality. Toni competed in Dancing with the Stars and also helped produce and starred in Braxton Family Values – a reality TV series that’s been airing since 2011. These are just some of the accomplishments Ms. Braxton has under her belt so far, and apparently, it’s earned her a net worth of around $10 million. Despite this, the R&B star did have to file for bankruptcy a couple times in her life, also being forced to sell some of her properties. Clearly, she’s bounced back since then.

Now let's get into this video.
Our first stop is a home Toni lived in back in the early 2000s.
While information wasn't available on her home at the time, now we're able to see the
place thanks to listing photos.
This home was located in Tarzana, Los Angeles, a neighborhood close to Encino in the San
Fernando Valley, and it sat on less than half an acre of land.
It was purchased in 2002 for around 1.4 million according to public records, and Toni sold
it some years later for 2.2 million, making some money on the sale.
This house was built in 2000, so it was super new when Toni moved on in.
Just looking at the exterior, you can see archways, balconies and columns line the home.
Property offers lush landscaping and palm trees, and hedges framing the front yard.
Inside the house spans 5,487 square feet with 5 beds and 7 baths, and walking in, you're
greeted with a double height entryway.
This space is complete with a winding staircase and ornate chandelier overhead.
Common spaces include a formal dining room with wall of windows, and a nearby sitting
room with marble fireplace, and more floor to ceiling glass.
I can't say I'm a fan of the cabinetry in this kitchen, but it does offer stainless
steel appliances, a wine fridge, and marble floors.
The master suite Toni used to enjoy once upon a time has a separate sitting area with fireplace,
mounted TV, and sprawling attached bath.
There's a resort-like feel to the backyard space which utilized a large lot for plenty
of deck space.
In the center, there's a sparkling pool and spa with nearby outdoor bar, perfect for
entertaining.
Toni also used to own a gorgeous home in Henderson, Nevada, but she lost it to foreclosure in
2010.
At the time of purchase, she spent 2.6 million on the home just outside Las Vegas, in an
affluent gated community.
It spans 5,337 square feet with 2 stories of living space, all on a .37 acre parcel,
and elsewhere on the property there's a casita, bringing the total square footage
up to 5,608.
Tree and ivy-lined courtyards, as well as walking paths, surround the Italian-style
villa, and inside there are 4 beds and 4.5 baths.
This home was built in 2002, and Toni owned it around the same time as the Tarzana house.
Interior features include soaring stone archways, wrought iron and concrete floors.
There are elegant hallways leading to the common spaces, full of natural light.
The kitchen is warm and inviting, with floor-to-ceiling stone accents, bar-style seating, and marble
countertops.
A nearby living room has multiple French doors leading to the outdoor courtyard, and chandeliers
hang overhead in almost all of the common spaces.
Toni's previous master suite here had a walkout terrace and even a secret wine room
attached in case she got some late night cravings.
There's also a huge master bath with dual vanities, separate marble-lined tub, and a
luxe shower, both of which offer a window.
There are a total of 4 fireplaces throughout the lavish residence, and we can see them
in the multiple common rooms.
Outside, the amenities include a gorgeous pool and spa, which you can overlook from
one of the many balconies, and other areas to unwind, including a beautiful covered patio
with TV and seating.
When Braxton moved to Las Vegas at first, it was widely and incorrectly reported she
bought a home in the Southern Highlands Golf Club, but this house seems to be the first
piece of real estate she ever bought there.
Before we get into her most recent mansion we know of, we'll take a quick look at one
of Toni's previous Atlanta houses.
In 2012 it was reported that this Georgia mansion was up for grabs at 1.1 million.
At the time, this property was another one to bite the dust for the singer, and although
she tried to save it, she also lost this house to foreclosure.
Toni took out a loan in 2004 for this place located in Duluth, Georgia, an area just a
short drive from Atlanta, and it cost her 1.5 million.
But according to the bank, she failed to make at least 10 monthly payments during her years
living here.
What Toni lost in Atlanta was an 11,400 square foot mansion, with 6 beds, 6 baths, and an
acre of sprawling land.
The photos we have are outdated, but you can get an idea of the place.
There were also all the amenities you'd expect in a home this size, like a Jacuzzi
tub, library, and gourmet kitchen.
And fun fact, this was the home featured on Toni's reality show Braxton Family Values,
but safe to say, there won't be any reunion specials held there.
While Toni may have lost more than one home to foreclosure, it didn't stop her from
bouncing back in 2014 with the purchase of a gorgeous estate in Calabasas.
The R&B singer spent around 3 million in plans for a spacious and luxuriously designed house,
in the guard-gated and posh enclave of the Oaks.
Toni would live here for only 2 years before placing it on the market again for 3.4 million
in 2016, which is an affordable price tag for this coveted neighbourhood.
I mean, plenty of the Kardashians have owned homes here.
Toni's Calabasas abode spans 5,323 square feet over a single story, and offered stunning
views of the California hills.
Built in 2006, inside the house you'll find 4 beds and 4.5 baths, as well as vaulted and
beamed wood ceilings in many of the rooms.
The French-style home offers stone and hardwood floors to pair with the cathedral ceilings,
and a total of 5 indoor and outdoor fireplaces to cozy up to throughout.
The formal living room here has a bird cage-shaped chandelier, a fireplace, and a bank of French
doors opening to the backyard.
This was also the room where Toni chose to display her numerous awards.
An adjoining room that was likely meant to be a dining room was used as a secondary sitting
room, and the kitchen nearby had the usual suite of high-grade appliances and a stone
center island.
Miss Braxton's private quarters include a large wall-to-wall carpeted bedroom, two
walk-in closets, and an all beige bathroom with make-up vanity, jetted tub, multi-headed
shower and more.
Outside, the spacious private grounds welcome guests with a courtyard entry.
A pool, spa, grass area, and gazebo with fireplaces extend the living space outdoors.
So after seeing 4 different homes, I think it's time to bring the house tour to an
end.
But looking at Toni's houses, Nevada, Atlanta, and the two in Los Angeles, what did you think?
Personally, I think my fave was that one near Las Vegas.
I loved how the exterior was ivy or vine covered, and the decoration inside was super classy.
I'm not quite sure where Toni moved on to after her Calabasas pad was sold, but if any
of you guys know, be sure to tell me.
