Willow Smith | House Tour | Her New Malibu Mansion

Although Willow Smith is only 19, she's already established in Hollywood so it's no surprise she's chosen to spread her real estate wings in a very grown up starter home. Her new coastal Malibu pad is a residential and eco-friendly dream. Having been raised at her parents famous and colossal compound in Calabasas, a mansion with its own zip code no less, Willow is no stranger to the area. We'll take a look at the whip my hair singer's new home as well as where she used to live. We even found the listings. In these videos we don't reveal any addresses, and even though I've done a house tour of my own place, please do not show up at any private residences because it's not safe for anyone. Willow Smith, also known as Willow, is a singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, actress and dancer. Her resume is so long at such a young age she could already be considered a Hollywood veteran. Willow made her acting debut in the film I am a Legend in 2007, of course alongside her father. Being the daughter of the uber successful Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, she definitely had a head start in Hollywood. Willow launched her music career in 2010 with the release of Whip My Hair, probably the catchy tune shes best known for. She was then signed to her current mentor Jay Z's record label Rock Nation, becoming the youngest artist signed to that label to date. Sources online report Willows estimated net worth at 6 million dollars, which I'd assume is solely the money shes made on her own. It doesn't include any bonuses her super wealthy parents may have helped her out with. I saw some of you guys requested this one so today we'll look at the new spot Willow Smith calls home in Malibu, as well as a quick look at where she used to live with her parents Will and Jada. Before we check out Willow's new home, we'll take a quick look at the family mansion she was blessed to grow up in. We did a more in depth look at Will and Jada's homes on this channel last year, so if you want more details on this spot, definitely check that out. Anyways, the Smith family compound, owned by Will and Jada, is located in Calabasas, Los Angeles, a neighbourhood fit for the rich and famous. The couple constructed the home fit to their liking, and these days, it's valued at a whopping 42 million dollars. Not to mention, the sprawling compound occupies 150 acres of land, so expansive that the place has it's own zip code. The home was designed by Steven Samuelson, and it took 7 years to finish, building the 25,000 square foot mansion. It's completely custom, with an adobe style interior, 9 bedrooms, meditation lounge, pool room, Moroccan themed home theatre, and more. The recording studio with the Smith family home is even where a young Willa recorded her hit single, Whip My Hair. The unique style of the house connects the rooms as if they flow into one another, and it's expertly laid out. The Smith family can also enjoy nature inspired and African influences in the properties design, evident in details like the banisters, furniture, ceilings, and painting. One of the living rooms in the mansion offers an amazing view of the hills in an open concept, while the dining room has a similar colour scheme. On the resort like grounds, while Willa lived here with her family, she could enjoy multiple activities, considering there was a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, built in trampoline, and of course, a pool and spa. Elsewhere, the Smith property even boasts it's own personal lake, with a small gazebo in the middle. Willa's father Will actually claims the gazebo as his favourite spot of the entire estate, and he uses it to think in solitude. Although Willa has moved on to her very first solo home, I'm sure she goes back to her parents house all the time. I mean, who wouldn't? I'm sure she's going to miss at least some of those features. Since early September this year, Willa is officially a homeowner, picking up a cool coastal home in Malibu. Completed in 2011, the single story home set her back 3.1 million dollars, and sits on just shy of half an acre. The modern build offers glorious ocean and mountain views, and it's located on a private cul-de-sac. For a starter home, it's still quite spacious, with 2,984 square feet, 4 beds, and 4 baths. There's a modern and airy feel inside, and walls of glass make sure you never forget how gorgeous Malibu is. Her zen-like retreat offers an open floor plan, and was designed with every detail in mind. Not to mention it's eco-friendly. The sustainable space was built to LED energy efficiency standards, with solar power, high tech appliances, and a grey water recycling system. Even in the two car garage, there's charging capability for Willa's Tesla. Floor to ceiling windows are found throughout the entire residence, along with neutral furnishings and ash grey hardwood floors. The main living area boasts a three-sided fireplace that's open to both the formal dining room and the eating kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances. Although the design looks sleek and minimalistic, I'm sure Willa was putting her own touches on the home as we speak. More upscale amenities at her Malibu house include surround sound, power shades, security cameras, and sliding doors opening to the private yard. Willa can enjoy the master suite here, which is complete with another fireplace, and an attached spa-like bath with soaking tub, dual vanities, and steam showers. Here there are more glass doors and panoramic views. The lot is landscaped simply, with native grasses and other low plantings. Her hillside property unfortunately doesn't offer a pool, but there's a concrete patio for outdoor dining, and a spacious raised wooden deck. From here you can see both the mountains and the ocean. Willa's property is super secluded and private, while being only a mile from the pacific coast highway, providing easy access to shops and restaurants. All these amenities and more did cost the young star a few million bucks, but is actually fairly affordable as far as Malibu houses go. The home was sold to her by a non-famous couple who purchased it about 7 years back. While the space may be lacking a recording studio, Willa can certainly pay her parents Will and Jada a visit at the massive family compound to keep using that one. Considering Willow Smith is only one property as of now, I think that concludes our house tour. For a 19 year old, I'd say she already has quite the head start. I think since it's unheard of to simply just pick up your first starter home in the ritzy hood of Malibu. Her place may only be a fraction of her parents house, but she has her whole life and career to keep upgrading. If this place is anything to go by, Willow has some good taste in real estate already.
