Pedri Got ROBBED Of A Goal vs Inter Milan, Weekly Review #2

Bayern Munich giving added weight if any were needed to this game and the return next Wednesday. Four away from home in. Too far, I was missing Pedri and Bruno. Doing a fair bit of chasing. Exactly what Damian was doing there trying to keep tabs on Alonso. Pedri. Well what Tavi wants with Pedri of course as you said Pete, Pedri and Gabi plus Busquets that means possession, possession and possession. During his teenage years. Forward by Alonso. Cut out there by Skriniar. Unable to pick out Barella. Best of times against a Spanish opposition in Europe in recent years and they're on the back foot here. Pedri trying to wheedle his way through being traced out by Damian. That's Gabi with a little pass back. I think the quick switch of play is going to be important. Getting in and pressing hard and it's swept away but only as far as Alonso who picks out Pedri. And now here's Marcos Alonso. He was trying to find Lewandowski. This last 20 minutes. Well it's Barcelona's first choice midfield. It's Spain's first choice midfield as well and the ball goes forward to Rafinha. Here's Sergio Roberto. Pedri. Bit of space to run into as well here and Pedri sliding it in towards Lewandowski. Well Dembele came back early from international duty. Didn't play. Inch perfect there to Federico Di Marco. Here's Henrikh Mkhitaryan now. And across the face of the goal and then just turned behind. And it was Pedri of all people. Deepest of the Barcelona players there as it came over. Just look at Barella running in towards the far post. Yeah Inter's best moment that round. He's got away from his man. He's got Morici in the middle. The cross comes in. It's behind Morici. Controlled by Kang-In Lee. Kang-In Lee with the cross shot. Good piece of skill there on Alex Valde and then the cross. And this is the faith of Kang-In Lee. It was difficult to get the ball but it went with his head. Here's Gavi. Still Gavi. Gavi plays the ball through. It's backheeled into space and so close to Rafinha. So nearly a brilliantly worked goal. On track in this one. Certainly have the form coming into this match compared to their opponents. Into the all-action figure of Barella. He's such a busy bee of a player. Supporter right. It's Pedri now in possession. He's looking to spread the play. The opening half. Rafinha into Gavi. That now is Gavi. Sorry, Pedri. And in Mallorca. It's his first start in the Champions League this season. And 20 minutes off the bench at Bayern. Last time out. Pedri. Header away by De Vrij. Challenged by Joaquin Correa. To the goalkeeper. They have to. Well done, Busquets. And good job from Kang-In Lee and Bayern. Heads up into the penalty area. Cleared away by Alonso. Oh, lovely play. He's such a smashing player to watch. Isn't he, Pedri? Gliding through the heart of midfield. Picking out Dembele. Who's faced by Calhanoglu. Great skill by Ousmane Dembele. He's still going. That's maybe the only time. A little out of shape here into Milan. Due in no small part to Pedri's skill in the middle of the park. He's been lively in this first half, hasn't he, Ousmane Dembele? And he's certainly seen plenty of the ball. Keeping Di Marco very busy. To the final third of the field. As Marcos Alonso heads it clear. Barrena. Beaten to it by Pedri. That's an untidy challenge by Matteo. They've even managed to denounce from 20, 25 yards out. Into Milan. It's been a very disciplined first half. As Pedri's sweeping it forward. Lewandowski's half develops. Whether the home side stick to this game plan. It might be interesting to see how the first half finishes. As well as Dembele is there. And it was very much on deck for Inter. And all the defenders were there to shield their goal. And are always worth a watch. When they meet in the Champions. Sigh of relief in the Barcelona team. And the 1,400 fans who've traveled from Catalunya. Got something to defend. It might be an even tougher. Lewandowski has sniffed tonight. Well, so far they haven't. Busquets. Not quite enough either way. Against Italian teams. Cleared away by Andreas Christensen. Here's Busquets. Once more made by De Bruyne. Rafinha now. Absolutely. Mentioned that they were beaten in Munich. And failed to find the back of the net in that game. But their away form domestically has been really good. And here comes Dembele once more. And Onana struggles to get to it. Great transfer Pedri. And he wasn't about to miss that. Barcelona level midway through the second half. Well, Xavi's going the book. Handball. It's been... Pedri denied the goal. Ter Stegen gets it moving. Back to Pedri. Forward Skriniar. Got some real power behind that head. A lovely skill from Pedri, as ever. Di Marco, little combination. Piquet again. Pedri finding Ousmane Dembele. Barcelona with renewed purpose venturing forward. Balder into Pedri. Sergio Roberto making tracks down the Barcelona right. Here comes Pedri. Picking out Ansu Fati. Balder going down just outside the penalty area as he raced through. He was testing with Dumfries. Barcelona probing, putting pressure on. It was a dangerous ball. Punched away by Andre Onana. Still Hakan Çalhanoğlu's goal. What Inter Milan have done extremely well. They've kept the Barcelona players out of their box. Against the clever feet of these Barcelona players. Yeah, we're just looking for that one moment, that one little sprinkling of something special that might prise open this tight Italian defence. It's a free kick for Inter. Pedri. Thought it equalised. Disallowed for handball in the build-up. After... They've got every chance of getting something from the match. Yes. Pedri looking to craft something. Finding Sergio Roberto. Pressure on Dumfries. Inter survive. Varela runs. As we head into an extraordinarily large amount of added time at the end of this game. For substitution. Something to take back to Catalonia with them. Pedri. Here's Balde. Sliding it in towards Kessie. And Cervi was there. All hands on deck for Inter. We're in the eighth minute of added time. As Barcelona still desperately search an equalising goal. And Onana.
