Safari Experience in Sri Lanka _ Yala National Park.

And if you didn't know, Sri Lanka has some amazing wildlife and you actually can go on safari here. Good morning everybody and welcome to Sri Lanka. We're currently in Ella. It's first thing in the morning so it's a little bit noisy but before we jump on our bus I needed to get some breakfast and there's this little local joint that makes coconut rotis and I need to get one because they look so good. Thank you so much. Thank you. That's the spot to go guys for breakfast. That's pretty much where all the locals, there were no tourists in there, just grabbing their cheap breakfast. Smells so good. Coconut and honey. Perfect little snack for the bus. We're currently leaving Ella and it is so beautiful. We keep stopping the bus because we keep seeing waterfalls and amazing views. Like Ella is the place to be when you come to Sri Lanka. So far this is this has been my favorite spot. There's also just some like side vendors. It's like corn and mangoes the go-to Hi Australia. Alrighty guys we've just arrived in Yala National Park and if you didn't know Sri Lanka has some amazing wildlife and you actually can go on safari here. On the way here we already saw some wild elephants. Fingers crossed we see some leopards. That is like the number one thing we want to see today. I'm going to jump on some jeeps and go on safari. Alrighty, let's go find some animals. It's all over. We're stuck. It's too deep. Yeah, yeah, get stuck. I just can't get a read on. Guys yesterday's safari was so amazing. I still can't believe you can come on safari here in Sri Lanka. And we got stuck in the mud. We got really stuck. Like another jeep had to pull us out of the mud. It was pretty intense and we didn't see a leopard but we did see everything else. We saw elephants. There's so much deer here. There's wild peacocks everywhere. Which is strange because you usually just see them like you don't see them in the wild. I've never seen them in the wild before. Yeah it was such a cool experience. Definitely if you come to Sri Lanka you have to go on safari. Like that was so much fun. So much adventure. But um yeah last night we checked into our hotel right near Yala National Park. It is so beautiful. We're literally surrounded by a jungle. But today we are heading south to the beaches and we've heard Sri Lanka, especially the south, has some of the best beaches in the world. For some more Sri Lankan food. Yeah I'm actually pretty hungry to be honest. We've uh just pulled up on the side of the road because there's a traditional food market just here and I'm always up for some good Sri Lankan street food. See what we can find. If you're looking for like any traditional snacks, if you're not too hungry, like it's not lunchtime yet, I always recommend grabbing hoppers. These are my favorite thing here in Sri Lanka and they're kind of like this crispy thin pancake. Grapey thing and then it's like always gooey in the middle and it always comes with a bit of chili or something. And so you kind of like break it off and dip it in the chili. So hoppers are like my go-to. And Stephen likes anything fried and stuffed. So today he found these. Don't you think every time you go and you find something that's been like stuffed. I love those spicy veggie balls that have been deep fried. So these ones are called and they're like basically mushrooms that have been battered and deep fried. That's Stephen's go-to. Hoppers are the bomb. You have to try them. All those bits that we had for our little snack cost us less than a dollar. Guys we've just checked into our room and it's two stories high. Wow. I need to show you the view because we're right on the beach. You literally jump into the ocean from here. What? This is so nice. We officially made it to the south all the way here. We stopped off at a place called Marissa and we had some amazing seafood and now we arrived at our hotel literally on the beach. How cool is this guys? Literally you can drive three hours and go from the jungle to this. Swing. So if you go on to Instagram and search for Sri Lanka you will see this very famous swing and I can see why. The sunset at the moment is like a beautiful pink and then you can swing on this rope swing coming off like a coconut tree. And then if you guys want to find it rather than stumbling across it, it's a place called Dream Cabana. Best five bucks I've ever spent for pure happiness. We like spent like an hour riding it with everyone else. It was so fun. Alrighty guys I hope you enjoyed that Sri Lanka vlog. It's so cool going on safari.
