Kayak Fishing for Creek Monsters with Houston

oh i got one i got a big one houston i'm not sure what i got it's either a bass or tree or a tree bass or something big boy it's something big huh so what's up guys today me houston daniel um we are going to be going on our huge two-person kayak down the creek fishing today that's right houston and i decided we were going to break out the kayak and head down the creek with a couple little ultra light fishing poles probably not going to catch any monsters probably not even really going to catch much big enough to eat but i grew up fishing this creek i waded up and down this creek for years and years and years just fishing all summer long so that's what i'm going to do with houston today except we're a little bit more high-tech than i was when i was a kid because we got a kayak a two-person kayak it's a jackson big tuna i couldn't remember anyways bought it used online last year so we're going to dump it in the creek and take off fishing probably not catch clean and cook anything like that you never know we're just gonna have a good time is that right yeah all right boy you get that kayak out of there and start paddling i can't do it oh all right fine let's go come back and see me later okay get in fish out there bud i know there's fish in that water there's got to be wonder what i got looks like a bluegill looky there this little creek is full of these guys you want to hold it yeah or i give you caught him on a little black and white rooster tail some people call it an inline spinner i call it a rooster tail really man on the left side is this a bass really man yeah it's a little bitty bass turn him around here oh houston's first fish of the day a little spotted bass in the creek what do you think dude actually i said spotted bass yeah i think that's a little spotted bass that's what it looks like there you go so i've been waiting for this whole moment to catch one of these again for this day i'll let him go oh he jumped him out of the water didn't he yeah iceberg dead ahead we're gonna crash into the falls high centered dad's got to get out again all right coming in hot all right catch fish boy sorry did not mean to oh we got one i got a big it's a smallmouth look at there isn't that pretty no we're not keeping him we're just not we're not keeping smallmouth like that that's too pretty of a fish yeah that is a pretty little creek smallmouth right there houston oh i want to get it on video whoa well so much for that good idea huh no i got a little fish dude that could actually work see no work i just said that and you just caught one and you caught a fish sure did little guy i need some like two pound smallmouth that's what we need that'd be fun now we can eat see ya flip him back here oh it's a sandbass houston looky there here don't reel don't reel don't reel just get him up here we got a sandbass you believe that i didn't think there were any in the creek right now we're getting down pretty close to the lake so they're down here nice sandbass guys can we keep him no not today can we put him in the hey please don't put him on my camera would you just let him go good job give me knuckles jimmy you followed us all the way down the creek look at you shaking you've been swimming why are you shaking jimmy well houston and i have made it about as far down the creek as we can go today it's about one o'clock and i have to go to work at three i'd like to go on down to the lake but uh i just don't have time for today and it looks like my sidekick's getting tired are you yeah he's awful quiet so that kind of tells me he's getting sleepy i got a feeling he's gonna be asleep before we make it back to the truck what do you think no all right gotta start dragging the boat made it to the first waterfall y'all just keep your seats now jimma i'll drag the boat don't worry about it oh i see the bridge it's a beautiful sight houston that means i'm almost finished paddling uh-oh all right got the talking i got hung on a rock i was looking at the bridge old bridge it's like a finish line up there end of the race made it this far we have to at least go try the swimming hole up here at the waterfall it's probably where houston's going to catch the most fish even though we went like i don't know a mile downstream let's go catch fish we're like 50 miles down well houston struck out on the fishing at the dam too so i kind of it is what it is i knew coming into this today we weren't coming down here just to slam a bunch of fish like the other day we did the catch and cook catching all those crappie at the dam i mean at the at the dock on the lake which this creek runs into that lake the crappie don't come up the creek but i knew really realistically we would catch a bunch of sunfish a couple little bass the sand bass was kind of a surprise but that's not what it's always about um you know sometimes like today it was just houston and i at home weston's at fca camp which is fellowship with christian athletes he's gone all week and then mom and emily had to go to an orthodontist appointment and then i think they went and did a little shopping so it's not always you know ideal situation but anytime i get to take time and spend with my kids out here in the woods and the creek and the water or whatever it is whatever my kids enjoy is a great day it's a shape it's a shape yeah so it kind of you know kind of got me thinking the other day i had a comment on a video i posted about the host tools drip um injector system the fertilizer injector system and it was an eight minute video that had one ad in it and uh the comment said something like uh how'd it go uh i love your videos but these commercials just kill me i don't like it you know i kind of got upset at first it was like i kind of took it personal and said you know i responded back and said there's one ad in the video it's eight minutes long there's one ad and uh he commented back and said no man the whole video is nothing but an ad for haas tools and i was like ah okay i got you i'm still like really i'm doing this not you but anyways he commented back and said i just miss the old days of your videos back when like when you were building the bridge and doing all the cool stuff and i don't know i feel like we still do a lot of cool stuff a lot of fun stuff yes our channel's grown to a hundred thousand subscribers and it's it's to me it's a business we're already over a hundred thousand yes and we're about to get the silver play button hopefully pretty soon so yes it's become a business and some of our videos are more commercially done i guess some of them and i try i really guys i really try hard to keep a balance of of just our everyday life and incorporating some of that stuff in because i would be a fool if i didn't try to use this platform to build my family's future because this is an awesome platform that can be used as a business and to make money on but i also don't promote a bunch of stuff i don't believe in so the reason i kind of got offended to the haas tools thing is i really really think haas tools is a great company and i'll promote their products as long as it's something that i like that i think is usable functional houston please quit splashing me i don't want to get the camera wet and i'll promote them like mi gardener seeds i love luke i love what luke's channel is about i love what luke's business is about so i promote it and i don't have a problem with that i watch a ton of youtube videos and i watch a ton of different channels and sometimes some videos have a a product that they're promoting and that's okay if i don't like it i don't watch it so anyway so no i didn't see you almost fall so keep in mind i try to keep these vlogs as real as they can be sometimes they're about you know a promotional thing and sometimes they're whatever we're up to at the time and sometimes they're just to help people learn and teach others how to grow food or how to do whatever it is at the time today it's about spending time with houston while he's a little guy here at the creek and then tomorrow may be something totally different and it's my channel and that's how i choose to run it so i hope you stick along for the ride i promise you i don't mean to offend anybody talking about you know maybe a fertilizer injector that might save you some time so you're spending less time in the garden and more time with the ones that are important where you want to be so anyways guys that's all i've got i'm gonna quit rambling houston you want to
